Heaven....Seems a Little Closer at the Beach

Good Morning. So today I'm sharing a card that actually brings peace to my heart. First, I love the beach and for some reason the colors and sentiment together with the sea birds makes me feel calm and relaxed. The beautiful flowers from 49 market and all the Impression Obsession die cuts help too.

I like most of my cards but this one has to be my favorite this year. Guess it will have to go to someone very special for me to part with it. LOL

I inked up the sea birds with distressing ink instead of using a marker. Think it looks pretty good? I learned this technique from kittiekraft when she was doing a demo at my local convention. Thanks!

The circle and the beautiful sea weed are from Scrapman. Love the tiny details.

Let's Shellebrate

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I made this card following a sketch over at scrapbook.com. I kind of let it get away with all the extra layering though. lol I love the color red and I have had these papers from last year. So I definitely want to use some of them up.

The adorable crab is my July cancer sign...so I am drawn to it quite ofter. It come from Lawn Fawn. The adorable sentiment is from LDRS. It's perfect for someones birthday in the summer.

Lots of bubbles, anchor, fishing net, and wheel. I also added some tiny bling.

So Sorry for Your Loss

Hi, Today I'm sharing a sympathy card for one of my colleagues who recently lost their father. I personally understand because it was a difficult time for me when I lost my father. I guess losing anyone in your life is not an easy time.

I kept the colors earthy with browns and greens. The flowers are from recollections and Prima. The leaves are from Sue Wilson and as I mentioned before it is one of my favorites now. I think because of the Mosaic look but also because of the size. Perfect for cards.

I added a little bit of bling pearls for an extra touch. I didn't use pattered paper. I used a woodgrain embossing folder instead. Hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by again.
Have a great day!

Summertime Thank you

Hi, well today Im back to sharing a new summertime thank you card. I love this beach color teal with yellows and of course whites. Did I mention how I LOVE these leaves fromSue Wilson. OMG I just can't stop using them.

The flowers are from a local scrapbooking rummage sale that I still have lots of flowers left. I think it was over 4 years ago? Unfortunately, the store closed down....so no more stocking up stash like the old days. Sigh. Some of the other flowers are from Micheals dollar section. I was there recently and didn't see the isle? Perhaps, it's gone? Another sigh....

I added some swirls from Impassion Obsession. and the center round circle with flowery yellow background is from Spellbinders. It was part of their April kit and they had leftovers at my local convention. So naturally, I had to pick it up. LOL

The teal background I embossed with an Anna Griffin folder. I knew it would be a busy card and no need for patterned paper.

Sending Sunshine

Hi! Welcome back! It's lisa here again sharing a colorful card with Dies R Us. Did I mention how I love Lawn Fawn? Well, if you didn't notice...I love adding some old sets with new sets. I made this card not only for Dies R Us , but also for my Sister In Law.

I wanted to add a rainbow and then I knew I had to add the umbrella and towel to match the rainbow. Of course they had to be rainbow colors too.

Don't you just love the mama duck with her babies....too cute!

I first started off with the windy background, then I die cut the stitched rectangle. Don't worry that it doesn't go all the way down. It will be covered with the grassy borders.

Die cut 3 layers of the grassy borders and ink the edges darker green.

Stamp out rainbow and clouds...then die cut them out.

Add more colored images and place all together on a card however you like. Done!

You're The Sweetest

Hi! Welcome back! It's Lisa sharing today a playful summer card featuring ice cream with Dies R Us. I absolutely had to have this I Scream, You Scream set from Lawn Fawn. I have so many other ideas brewing for the future. If you are not that great at coloring , like me, this is great to have in your collection because NO coloring is involved...unless you want it.

I was thinking chocolate and then I thought why not add some strawberry. Have to have cherries and sprinkles right? I decided to add more hearts with the adorable little faces from Let's Toast.

The fabulous swirls I really LOVE! It is from Impression Obsession and I will be using it more and more.....

Here is the beautiful Fancy Lattice Backdrop in chocolate.

I next die cut the stitched scalloped circle frames and then the center was embossed using the same Fancy Lattice Backdrop.

The chocolate was die cut with the ice cream and then I die cut another brown ice cream and placed the waves from the same set to make chocolate drippings.
