#266 Winter Wonderland With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is well and having a wonderful holiday season!
I have been very busy and have not been able to post this month as much as I would like to do. However, I sure I will be back next year with more free time on my hands. This card was made using this week's TSTR #266 Winter Wonderland theme of yummy cookies! The sentiment is from "Paper Sweeties" our sponsor for the next two weeks.

Here is my interpretation using snowflake cardstock, whites and blues. I ordered a snowman die but it didn't get here in time for my post so I went with the snowflake theme instead

The center doily is from Cheery Lynn Designs and is part of the new release "Royal Scandinavian Doily Circle ".The roses were pre-made from Michael's and I of course had to add some pearls.

A closer view with a finishing touch of a white satin ribbon and bow.

#265 Holiday Sparkle With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi everyone!
I sure hope everyone is enjoying the holiday spirit this year! Meanwhile I'm sharing with you today a new card inspired by The Shabby Tea Room #265 Holiday Sparkle
I sure love the vintage pink tree and I recently heard that my aunt and uncle are planning to give me their old 1970's vintage aluminum tree too! I'm soooo excited to get it because it reminds me of so many wonderful memories in my childhood.
Here is the TSTR photo!

Here is my interpretation using Cheery Lynn Designs Die "Lace Christmas Tree" you can get it at the Cheery Lynn Designs store or her at Dies R Us

I had planned on adding a sentiment but I decided to add the pink bow in the center instead. I used some bling and also cream pearls. The background patterned paper is from Graphic 45.

I added some pop dots and this card is ready to send out in less than 30 minutes....

Hi everyone!
Welcome back to a new inspirational photo with The Shabby Tea Room! This week's inspiration is called "O' Christmas Tree" and it is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps

I love the Christmas Tree Row and knew I had to have it! I used pinks and greens to go along with the theme. Super fun digital image and I used my Lawn Fawn sentiment.

I also used Cheery Lynn scalloped frames and spellbinders christmas trees that I found for $10 at the convention last spring.

I finished the card with ribbons and pink pearls on the trees.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check out more inspiration from our DT at The Shabby Tea Room. Use the inspirational photo or your chance to win some digital images from Bugaboo too!

#263 Thankful With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi Happy Monday!
Well, this week's challenge with The Shabby Tea Room is Thankful. I'm thankful to have family around the whole holiday season. The wonderful inspirational photo places me in the Christmas spirit. This week's sponsor is from Great Expressions

Here is my interpretation of the photo. My husband loves the rustic burlap look for the holidays, so thought I would make a christmas card. I have this candle stamp from Verve and fussy cut it out. Added a little shimmer to the wicks and center of poinsettia. The sentiment is also from Verve.

I used one of my favorite Martha Stewart lace punch and then cut a piece of burlap to go in the center.

Love the soft colors and of course I had to add some white pearls! lol
The flower is from Petaloo. It was a perfect match to my burlap.

Herre is a closeup of the pinecones. I have been watching a few tutorials on how to make them. Finally I figured out a super easy way to make them fast....tutorial coming soon!

#262 Colors and Patterns With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi everyone!
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card made for The Shabby Tea Room #262 Colors and Patterns using an adorable digital image from My Artistic Adventures:

I didn't use any patterned papers, I cut stripes of kraft cardstock, distressed the edges and chalked them with black chalk. I wanted to really focus on the image but also bring some vintage to it. So I added some bling, flowers and lace.

Not too bulky....

Here is the photo inspiration!

#261 Boo-rific With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi everyone!
It's Monday with a new card inspired by this week's #261 Boo-rific with The Shabby Tea Room!
Sponsor this week is by Paper Sweeties! Yay Debbie!
I love the white pumpkin and so to make this card I used 3 ovals and placed them together. I then added ribbons on top. The adorable hat is from Cheery Lynn Designs.

In the background, I added some purple feather and some bling white pearls. I had these black flowers for years and I brought them out for this card. As for adding a little more bling, I glued a few sequins in the corners.

The beautiful sentiment is from Paper Sweeties Free Images. Yes, you read it right...FREE!

#260 Swirls & Twirls With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi Happy Monday!
Today, I'm sharing with a new card and cute little "pumpkin treat box" from Cutting Cafe. It was inspired by this week's The Shabby Tea Room photo "Swirls & Twirls". I originally planned on making the gift bag in a lighter orange, so this one was supposed to be my sample. As it turned out, I loved it after all and decided to make a matching card to go with it in the same color.

Here is the adorable treat box. I added some kraft cardstock for the top stem and some leaves from Cheery Lynn Designs Rose Leaves. The little handle is black ribbon with sheer ribbon around the whole pumpkin. I added thin black ribbon around the base and cute little ghosts from "Boo to You" Verve stamps. Lastly, I added an orange glitter rose from Michael's dollar bin

This is the backside of the pumpkin treat box. I added more leaves and some tissue paper fits inside. Its great to give as a small gift or even place on the table for your guests.

I had fun making a matching card. I printed up a jar from clip art online and fussy cut it out. I used Verve stamps, "boo to you" pumpkins, ghosts and sentiment. The black swirls are chipboard and I inked them with black ink. To resemble the candy pieces in the jar I cut a small paper circle and a a strip of paper just shy of .75 inch wide, then I layered it with twining ribbon.

There are a few layers of ribbon and I punched white cardstock with my Martha Stewart puncher. I planned on embossing the orange cardstock, but I didnt like the was it looked, so I kept it plain and added little faux stitching in black. Lastly I added more leaves and an orange rose.

Here is the inspiration photo for the next two weeks with The Shabby Tea Room!

Capture The Moment With The Shabby Tea Room #259 "Picture This"

Hi shabby gals!
Welcome back to a new photo inspiration from "The Shabby Tea Room #259 "Picture This"!
This week our challenge is being sponsored by the lovely digital papers by Janet Etsy. They are so beautiful and very vintage/shabby chic, just what I love! I used the "Beautiful Life" camera image 3 times, one at 3 inches, one at 2.5 inches and one at 1.25 inches. I distressed it just a bit more with "vintage photo", yes, pun intended. LOL

The inspiration photo happens to be my favorite color RED
So, I literally seen the front door and thought I had to make it like an Elizabeth Arden door. Lots of Cheery Lynn "flourish leaves" in green cardstock and I happened to have exactly 8 tiny roses from years ago. Perfect.

I used some Zva champagne bling to match the vintage cameras and I have this striped ribbon from Christmas. The colors of the card make me think of Christmas time too. What do you think? Christmas card or nah? Last, but not least I added some thin ribbon on the top of 2 cameras.

The Shabby Tea Room lovely inspiration photo!

ABC-123 With The Shabby Tea Room # 258

Hi Shabby Gals!
Welcome back to another fun challenge with The Shabby Tea Room
This week it is ABC-123 #258. The photo inspired below is all about school. The wonderful prize this week is sponsor by The Paper Temptress. The papers are wonderful and I used 3 for my project today!
My children are all adults  now but I know that the kids around here are already back to school. They start earlier here in AZ but they also get out of school in May. :)

The sunflowers were made with Cheery Lynn Designs diecut and "Lemondrop" paper. I added Gala Glitz in the centers for some extra bling. I also used some leftover pieces of black bling swirls for a shabby look . A real pencil was cut to fit the center of the card and I stamped a ruler from Donna Salazar on the "Sour Apple" paper. The Pierced Stacker #4 is also from Cheery Lynn Designs and I stamped a sentiment from Verve in white and embossed it in white embossing powder. The outline is a white signo pen. The light green patterned paper is from Prima. It was a great match to the "Sour Apple" paper. I finished it off with some black and white ribbon.

A closer view. All the papers are really smooth and silky. I really Loved the "Onyx" black!

The fabulous photo!

Peaches and Cream With The Shabby Tea Room #257

Hi Shabby Girls!
Welcome back to another fun challenge with The Shabby Tea Room #257. This weeks sponser is Crafty Secrets and I used their digital stamps Garden Memories. Let me tell you...I have really have never played with digital images before The Shabby Tea Room. However, I love them now because not only can you use them over and over again but you can make them any size you want! Have to love that!
Here you can see how I used the same image 3 times for my cake. Once in 2.5 inches, once in 2 inches and once in 1.5 inches, then printed on my orange cardstock. I also used the elegant "Garden Notes" in 2.5 inches.

I added orange flowers from Recollections and Orange Ribbon and a bow. Lots of pearls, Martha Stewart Punch and Cheery Lynn Diecuts for the mini butterflies and barcelona square.

I layered the circles with pearls on the edges and pop dots in between, topped with butterflies.

Here is the wonderful "Shabby Tea Room"  photo inspiration # 257

Kindness With The Shabby Tea Room Summer Picnic #256!

Hello Shabby Girls!
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card for The Shabby Tea Room inspired by this week's photo. Lots to choose from in this photo and I was planning to add some tea items but I also really wanted to make a vase and show the basket and towel. I ended up having to cut it back because it started to look almost like too much....you know what I mean? lol

I used two French Pastry doily and French Pastry Tiny Doily and an Ivy Flourish Corner that is made from Cheery Lynn Designs and can be bought from DiesRUs.com or from the Cheery Lynn Designs Store. The vase was made with my cricut and I embossed it with tiny white stamps and added a resin butterfly in the center. I stamped the basket in brown ink and the fussy cut out the edges. The stamp is from Heartfelt Creations called Basketweave Background. I added pink flowers from Recollections.

To represent the towel that reminds me of my mother and my husband's mother, I cut white cardstock and added some pink lines to the edge with my copic marker.

Here is the beautiful photo inspiration!
