Friends & Chocolate

Hello Chocolate Friends,
Today Im sharing with you a card about my LOVE for chocolate! The sketch was inspired by Viva La Verve #3 April! I can not believe I was able to do all four fabulous sketches this month! Yay! I have been wanting to use the chocolate diecut from Verve for quite some time now....This sketch turned out to be the perfect one to express my love for it too!

I was struggling on some sort of title on the banner....then of course! Hershey my favorite chocolates. I have mini clear stamps that work perfectly on the banner from Our Daily Bread.

The mini doilies are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I wanted to use another heart but it was too big so I used my cricut 1 inch for the heart an embossed it with the same embosser on the chocolate cardstock.  The sentiment was printed on my computer.

I had to use some red ribbon and the bow is a triple, double bow in red my favorite color!

Here is the sketch for week 3 at Viva La Verve! Thanks!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Mickey's Birthday! with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello, Its Lisa back this week sharing with you a new card using more new diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs! Today, I wanted to make a card dedicated to boys out there... This first new diecut from this month's release is the main inspiration for my card today! It is the Castle Edge Square. As soon as I seen the Castle Edge I thought of Mickey Mouse and the Cinderella castle. It was perfect!

The Pierced Banners went perfect with my Disney theme. I printed "to you" on white cardstock and used only a portion of it under the Mickey Mouse face. The Shaker card was used with the two smallest   Circles form the Silver Stacker Layers. I added yellow, blue and red beads in the center. A fun card for a young boy to enjoy!

Thank You!

Hi everyone,
Today, I'm sharing a card that I made yesterday morning right before we put our beloved dog Louis to rest. I'm sure he was feeling pain and wanted to say thank you. He gave my son a big hug right before he passed on. So this card colors was based on green for earth and black for sadness. It was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday # 395. Im also entering it in this week's Shabby Tea Room #250

The paper is an old Graphic 45 and the stamp is from Just Rite, I love the swirls.

I just had to add a few green flowers and some leaves from Cheery Lynn.

Here is the sketch for this week. Thanks...

Here For You

Hi, Its Monday again...how fast the weekend can go ..sigh....
Today, I made a sympathy card inspired by Viva La Verve Sketch #2 April. A colleague at work lost her father recently, so I offered to bring in a couple of cards so people could sign them. I don't really keep them in my stash, but it always good to have a few just in case you need them quick. So this one is to replace one of those but, it was also made because I think today is the day to take our Italian Greyhound to the vet? Very heartbreaking!

Some Cheery Lynn Designs diecuts, fishtail banners and  fleur de lis doily.

I made this card last night trying to distract myself and didnt realize the roses were two different colors...oh well...

I'm sharing the inside because I wanted to share the beautiful sentiment that I bought at Michael's from Recollection.

Thanks for the sketch...

Hope you have a great day..Please send prayers....thank you

So Happy for You

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Lately, I have been hearing lots of sad news from my best friend and her father is not well. It has been making me sad because it reminds me of when my father passed away a few years ago. On top of that my Italian Greyhound is slowly getting sicker everyday. We took hime to the vet yeaterday and they said he has a stomach bug...but my gut tells me it is more...because he has lost weight and now he wont eat today :(  Ok done giving you depressing news....

So this morning, I told myself I need cheerful cards to distract me. So this card was inspired from this months Viva La Verve #4 April. As soon as I seen the flags on the sketch I knew it had to be a cheerful card. I originally was using some old papers in oranges and then I didnt think it was cheerful enough for me today. So I went to some shabby chic pinks and whites.

I used a spellbinders romantic rectangles  and our daily bread pennants. The sentiment are stamps from verve as well as the black stitching that comes with the stamp set called treasured words.

I had to add a flower and some leaves from Cheery Lynn Designs, Rose Leaves.

Here is the sketch! Im so glad it cheerful! Thank you!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Coffee Inspiration...

Hi Fellow Scrappers and Cardmakers!
Today, I wanted to make a card from the beautiful sketch from Viva La Verve Week #1 April. I printed out the sketch at the beginning of the month and I was debating on colors? I knew I wanted to use the diecut Coffee from Verve. It truly is beautiful! I also knew I wanted to make it a shaker card. So the past couple of weeks I was thinking browns....but this morning I decided to use lots of cheerful colors and make this an inspirational card. Multiple colors are so out of my norm but I loved how cheerful it came out!

I didn't plan on using black along the edges, however when I printed up the top sentiment...the black ink from the computer touched the edge. So instead of printing it out again I just chalked up all the edges and added black for the diecut "coffee" and along the scalloped edge under the shaker. Funny how a simple mistake can make a card turn out good.

A closer view of the  flowers and I used several Cheery Lynn Diecuts too. The beads for the shaker are clear, as close as a white without covering up the coffee diecut.

I added a strip of pearls to the top and all the flowers are pre-made. The teal polka dot is from Recollections and the two pink ones are from a huge bag of flowers that I bought at a local scrapbooking yard sale for 3 bucks! :0)

So here is the beautiful sketch! Thank you again, again and again!

Have a great day! As always thanks for stopping by!

Cherish Everyday

Hello everyone!
Happy Friday! I'm off from work today and starting a 4 day weekend...yay! Its a good thing too because my left hip has been inflammed from work and I had it injected with cortisone yesterday to help...Its raining here today in the valley of the sun! lol  So that means I will be crafting all day and making new cards...hope to get more up during the week.
Today, I'm sharing a card that I have been wanting to make and it is part of Cardabilities #121. I seen the sketch and immediately printed it up so I could make it as soon as I had time. I finished it last night and this is my interpretation of the sketch.

I found this one sheet of paper from K and Company that I had left from a pack. So vintage looking and love the teal color with kraft. The punch is from Martha Stewart, my latest favorite one from Martha. Lots of leaves from Cheery Lynn Designs and the Fishtail Banner for my sentiment that was printed from the computer.

The sentiment is layered over a spellbinder diecut and I added lots of flowers and a ribbon.

I had some softer pearls that was a perfect match for adding just that little bit more without going overboard.

Here is the wonderful and beautiful sketch...Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Your Kindness...with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello, Its Lisa back this week sharing more New Cheery Lynn Diecuts from this month's new release! I was in the mood for yellow this week and found these beautiful papers to go with all the new beautiful diecuts.  First, I love the A2 Step Card Bundle Set. It's so easy and fast to use, plus it has beautiful intricate swirls to add to your card.

I used the Dutch Daisy Oval Doily onthe side of the step card. Then I traced the inside oval that comes with the Dutch Daisy Oval Doily and added pearls along the edges.  The sentiment was printed on cardstock and then diecut with Royal Scandinavian Tag 2. I layered it on top of the Dutch Daisy Oval Doily. The edges of the tag are pierced and it really is a wonderful addiction to your collection.

The side view of the Step Card. I added 2 layers of the Feathered Friends to make the bird study attached to the front and in the background corner I used the Royal Scandinavian Tag 1. Last but not least, I added some flowers made with Medium Rose and Miniature Rose.

Pink Shabby Chic Happy Birthday!

Hello, Its Lisa back with a new pink shabby chic birthday card.
It's for a old friend of my relatives. She loves pink and shabby chic, so this is right up my alley!
I used lots of Cheery Lynn Designs Diecuts and one Memory Box diecut. The flowers are all pre-made and I had to use a pink sheer bow.

I just love the Celtic hearts from Cheery Lynn looks! They are so elegant and I added baby breath around the edge and on top of the other heart with a couple light pink pearls on the bottom.

I stamped the sentiment in black and behind the hearts you can see the fishtail banners...another must have in your collection of diecuts! The corner diecut is part of the new release from Cheery Lynn called  Royal Scandinavian Tag 1. Be sure to check out the new release....

Under the flowers, I cut and used half of a memory box diecut called La Rue Flourish.

Thanks for stopping by and if its your birthday....Happy Birthday!
Have a great day!

Friend...Thinking of You

Hi!
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!
I have been playing the last two days in my scrap room, which has been soooo nice. :) Today I'm sharing with you a new card that was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday #392 Contest. I'm not one that uses many colors, but this card has a few more than I normal. I think it was because of the vintage paper from K & Company. I had one light blue rose left so I added 2 roses in red to match the theme.

A side view...I used the same vintage paper inside too. Its also super distressed from my Zutter. I was thinking of my friend who recently posted our memories of sun tanning with baby oil on black payments! Anyone remember those days??? lol

A closer view of all the beautiful diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs and the circle from Spellbinders.

Last but not least the awesome sketch!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! It's Lisa back today sharing a new card this week with Cheery Lynn Designs! This week's challenge is all about Flowers! Now who doesn't love flowers for their birthday? :) The Chrysanthemum Strip are such beautiful and intricate flowers that I knew I had to have them ASAP. I just added pearls in the centers.  For this card, I didn't use any patterned paper at all...that is because you don't need any with the Royal Scandinavian Doily. The details are wonderful and perfect for this 5x5 birthday card.

A side view and as many of my followers know , I love bows! Cheery Lynn has a Pretty Pretty Bow  that takes only seconds to make...It is perfect for those who want to mail their card in a regular envelope because it can be flat and yet still be Pretty Pretty.

For the sentiment, I used a birthday stamp on the smallest of the Circle Scalloped Stackers. I just used a mini punch for the little holes around the edges. Last but not least, I added some green Flourish Leaves. I just love the tiny details of the leaves. No stamping needed! :)
