Thank You Nurses

Hi! Hope everyone is having a nice Monday. Well, Im still barely working and I will be off for the next few days too. Meanwhile I was looking around for some inspiration on different blog and I ran across Festive Friday National Nurses Day. I picked Red, Cross Shape, Appreciation Sentiment, Superheroes, Hearts, Medical Imagery, and Green. You only need 3 but I ended up with 7.

This is a dedication to all the nurses out there working hard with Covid 19 patients. I am also an RN but I work in surgery and since all elective cases are cxd at this time. I don't work as much....however when this passes it sure will super crazy!

So a closer view. I used polka dots on kraft to represent bandaids, stripes for candy strippers. LOL I actually had to read about my circuit for the superhero nurse. It had been years since I last used it...However it came out great

Here is my inspiration...

Summertime Thank you

Hi, well today Im back to sharing a new summertime thank you card. I love this beach color teal with yellows and of course whites. Did I mention how I LOVE these leaves fromSue Wilson. OMG I just can't stop using them.

The flowers are from a local scrapbooking rummage sale that I still have lots of flowers left. I think it was over 4 years ago? Unfortunately, the store closed down....so no more stocking up stash like the old days. Sigh. Some of the other flowers are from Micheals dollar section. I was there recently and didn't see the isle? Perhaps, it's gone? Another sigh....

I added some swirls from Impassion Obsession. and the center round circle with flowery yellow background is from Spellbinders. It was part of their April kit and they had leftovers at my local convention. So naturally, I had to pick it up. LOL

The teal background I embossed with an Anna Griffin folder. I knew it would be a busy card and no need for patterned paper.

Witch's "Beautiful" Purple Boot

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
Today Im sharing with you a boot that was made using my cricut "Happy Hauntings" I have been making several Halloween cards this year and I was getting ready to sen out a card to my sister (down below) but then I was browsing on pinterest and seen some super adorable boots! So I figured since I already had the cricut cartridge it should be pretty fast. It sure was...I forgot how I love my little machine! The best part was I made this card 6 inches and it really is not overwhelming.

My sister loves purple and black so this will A PERFECT FIT! lol
The front of the boot has 3 layers and the back of the boot has 2 layers so it can stand up and be shown off. I used some Recollections purple roses and sheer purple ribbon. I also added some black bling down the side.

The sentiment was inspired by "My Crafty Spot" but I couldnt find where to buy them on the website? So I changed the sentiment a bit by adding "Beautiful" It is also really small, it is 1 inch by 1 inch using Microsoft Word fonts. There is some crem lace on top and on the bottom.

So here are the two cards...Please help me decide "WHICH" card to send? Im thinking the boot but I also love the 5 x 5 shaker? Maybe both??? Help!

Thanks for helping and stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

White Christmas

 Hello!
Today, Im here sharing with you a card I made a few days back inspired by a sketch I recently seen. I didnt make the deadline, but I still made the card. The all white card was also inspired by Monia a cardmaker from scrabook.com. She has lovely cards. So it is a combination of the two and here is my version. I added a silver glitter ornament behind the shaker star. I realized as I was making my shaker, that I tend to make mine popping outwards instead of staying behind a larger piece of cardstock? I dont know why that is the way I do it, but it works. lol

The star is 3 inches and I cut it out with my cricut since I dont have any star diecuts, except tiny ones. The branches are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the sentiment if from Bo Bunny! I had the bow made from a project that I changed my mind on making quite some time ago.  The star sequins are from Verve.

Lots of distressed layering and embossed the top snowflake/dots....yes I tried the dots first and instead of getting a new piece of white carstock I embossed it again with the snowflakes...can barely tell... :)

Have a great day!

Fang-tastic Night

Happy Saturday!
Today, I'm sharing another new card made for the upcoming Halloween season! I cant seem to stop making them now...I'm  getting warmed up for the Holidays!
So the last few Halloween cards were cute and fun...so I wanted to make something more Gothic and scary and this is the ending result...whatcha think?

The papers are from Martha Stewart from years ago...The diecut gravestone, bats and spiderweb are part of the new release at Cheery Lynn Designs. The coffin was cut at 5 inches on my cricut using Happy Hauntings and I cut it in 3 pieces and chalked the edges. I then cut another 5 inch coffin and glued the pieces down to form a solid piece. Punching tiny holes on the top and bottom for the brads and stamping blots from Prima on the coffin in red ink to represent blood.

I printed up the sentiment on my computer using two different fonts and added some flowers to the sides of the coffin and gravestone. I also used Martha Stewart dripping punch for blood drippings and added a black cross on top of the coffin. SPOOKY!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a Fang-tastic day!

The Shabby Tea Room DT Call : It's Your Day

Hi,
I know it is late in the day, but I decided that I would enter this card into The Shabby Tea Room Design Team Call. I have been thinking about it for the past 2 weeks....I couldn't remember if I had a teapot somewhere? Well after finally reading that I was close to the end of the calling, I looked through all my cricut cartridges and found ONE teapot! Whew! This card took me about an hour to make...sometimes I think better under pressure? lol

I crimped the teapot and chalked the edges with brown ink. Two white flowers and three pink roses were placed on top with three pieces of baby breath diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs. The doily diecut in the background is also from Cheery Lynn Designs. I distressed the two layers of pink papers with my Distrezz It All. Love that machine!

I added pink roses sheer ribbon and white lace on the top and bottom of the card. The tea cup was cut with my cricut and I chalked the edges and the top for tea. The I added a bit of liquid applique to the edge for a little froth.  I used a tiny stamp with the same brown chalk. Lastly, I was thinking about the cookies and cakes....then I remembered that I recently bought some Melissa Francis Resin pieces... Perfect!

The beautiful shabby teapot photo inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and wish me luck!

Happy Birthday

Hello again!
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card made for Viva La Verve June Week #3. I wasn't sure what I was going to do at first, but I knew I wanted to use some fun colors. These papers are from My Mind's Eye "Here is Happy".

I added pop dots between the layers for a 3D look. Can you believe no flowers or bling? Guess I didn't need it because the papers are so festive! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the drippings.

The "happy Birthday" diecut is really one whole die. However, I cut it to fit on the Cheery Lynn Fishtail Banners. The cupcake was cut on my cricut and I used liquid applique to give it a realistic look and it's hard to See but I placed crystal lacquer on the cherry.

Here is the sketch this week. Lots of cards can be made with this sketch.

Donut Worry Be Happy

Hi,
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I'm sharing a new card that I made a few days ago inspired by this week's Mojo Monday #402.
Now who doesn't love a donut? I was thinking about circle objects when I ran across a donut card. Then I could see 3 of them, strawberry, vanilla and of course CHOCOLATE! Yum

I made all the donuts with my cricut: 2 each in 2 colors, 4 inches, 3 inches and 2 inches. Then I chalked the edges and fussy cut the icing in a random pattern. Lastly, I added some stickles.

The font sentiment was printed on my computer and the "chocolate" diecut is from Verve Stamps.
The scalloped white cardstock, I used a Cheery Lynn Diecut and punched little holes on the edges. There are also 2 ribbons in the background.

Here is the sketch this week!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Saturday!

Thank You Berry Berry Much!

Hello again!
It's still Sunday!
I can't believe I was able to get another card done already this morning?
I guess my Mojo is with me today! :)
Here is a new card that was inspired by this week's
Viva La Verve June 2015 Week #1 sketch by Julee Tilman.
I really didn't know what I was going to do for the half circle on the side? However, as I was going through my old papers and organizing them a bit I came across this fun strawberry and lime summer paper from K & Company. All of a sudden I could see the half circle as a big lime...Ta da!

I can remember a long time ago I believe it was my second card I ever made and it was a Thank You card with strawberries. Here is a new version several years later...crazy how your creations and style change over the years.

I fussy cut several of the strawberries and placed pop dots behind them. I also fussy cut a few limes. The stickers I bought I long time ago...trying to use some stash....
The fonts were printed up on the computer.
The Fishtail Banners are from Cheery Lynn Designs. Love them!

You can see it is pretty flat and will be easy to mail.
For the white lines, I used liquid applique and then heated it up with a embossing heating tool.

Here is the great sketch!
Thank you!

Have a great Sunday!

My Anchor

Hello again! I'm sharing a card that I just finished this morning. It was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday # 397 sketch. I have been wanting to use this sketch all week! Finally, I was able to make it and enter the last day. I recently received my stamps from Verve and Im SO in LOVE with this nautical stamp set!

I dont make very manly cards but I really have been needing to make some. I added clouds and pierced banner diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs.

I also added some yarn in the background and a few silver brad stickers on the corners and in the middle of the wheel/helm.

A few pop dots underneath.
You can see spots of inked blue...
well, that actually was an accident on one side my fingerprint, so I added more throughout.
Funny how an accident can make it work out. :)

The fabulous sketch! Thank you!

Have a great Sunday!

Friends & Chocolate

Hello Chocolate Friends,
Today Im sharing with you a card about my LOVE for chocolate! The sketch was inspired by Viva La Verve #3 April! I can not believe I was able to do all four fabulous sketches this month! Yay! I have been wanting to use the chocolate diecut from Verve for quite some time now....This sketch turned out to be the perfect one to express my love for it too!

I was struggling on some sort of title on the banner....then of course! Hershey my favorite chocolates. I have mini clear stamps that work perfectly on the banner from Our Daily Bread.

The mini doilies are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I wanted to use another heart but it was too big so I used my cricut 1 inch for the heart an embossed it with the same embosser on the chocolate cardstock.  The sentiment was printed on my computer.

I had to use some red ribbon and the bow is a triple, double bow in red my favorite color!

Here is the sketch for week 3 at Viva La Verve! Thanks!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Gone "BABY" Fishin'

Happy Saturday!
I sure hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend...
It's a bit cloudy here today in AZ, so it is another perfect day to stay inside and make cards right?
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card that is for my nephew and his fiance for their upcoming baby boy! My nephew is a huge fisherman and the invitation to the baby shower is all about the baby going to be a fisherman too! Just like his daddy. Here is part of the invitation, it has little lily pads and more fishes in green on it, but I just wanted to share this corner for my inspiration for baby card I made for the two of them.

So here is my card for them. I hope they like it... It is a shaker card in all three circles. There are little beads inside and the fishes have google eyes. The font is Walt Disney; I was thinking it would be great for a baby card.

All the waves are hand cut by using a big wave scissor. The large fishing pole was made using my cricut and I added a bob on the pole to add more red color. The green ovals are meant to represent lily pads and I had to add some bling for the fish.

I used my cuttlebug for the white bubbles behind the fishes. The fishes were cut with my cricut, just simple ovals and heart tails. I added gold pearl stickles for the dots to match the invitation.

The best part of this card is the Cherry Lynn Diecut with the "Gone Fishin". I actually don't own this diecut....yet....my good friend at work has this diecut and let me borrow it for the weekend because I knew I wanted to use it for this card. Thank you Lorianne! I added the tiny "baby" flag banner in blue.

So thanks for stopping by once again!
I appreciate it and always love all the wonderful comments

It's Your Day *TSTR #162 "Pretty Shabby"*

Hello, I wanted to share with you today my shabby chic card inspired by this week's The Shabby Tea Room #162 "Pretty Shabby" Challenge. So when I check out the week's photo inspiration, I tend to lean towards the photo completely. I guess it is because when I am making cards in general I am inspired by photos...so once again here is what I think looks like the photo (below). I used lots of Cheery Lynn Diecuts on this 5 x 5 card. The butterfly, the roses, the kraft leaves, doilies and the beautiful window. The branches behind the leaves are from Spellbinders "mixd media elements" by Donna Salazar.

This week's challenge was to use the colors in the photo as well as something recycled. My recycled item was popsicle sticks. I used 4 in total. Two are the base and two were cut up in 2 inches and layered sideways for the steps with pearls on the ends.

Here is the photo inspiration...see what I mean! lol

All the bottles were cut with my cricut "walk in my garden" vases at 1 inch in turquoise and white cardstock. I then added diamond glaze to the tops for a glossy and water look. All the tiny flowers were made with a punch bunch and I added pearls in the centers.

Here you can see the true dimension to this card. I made the tag with a new diecut from Heartfelt Creations and the sentiment was stamped from a wine stamp set. I tend to use the computer quite a bit for my sentiments and almost did again but then I found the perfect size stamp for this small tag. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you get inspired by the photo as much as I did too!
Have a great evening.
Hugs...
