Halloween Ideas...Creating Keepsakes October 2011 Issue

Hello,
Today Im sharing with you my layout that was a bit revised for the Creating Keepsakes October 2011 Issue....I had it up for a while at sb.com last year and I loved it so much I thought I would try to send it to CK...to my surprise...they loved it too! I added a few more bitten hearts with journaling...for the actual submission.
This photo is of my daughter and a friend of hers....he has those snake bites and with that creepy look he had...it looked like one of those "Bitten" movies....lol
The tombstones are made from kraft paper and the whole tutorial can be seen at
Creating Keepsakes Magical Halloween Layout Ideas. I also added blingy bats, MS Halloween punch and papers, and cobweb to give this layout a super creepy and yet a romantic look
Im so super excited to finally share this again with you all!

Baby Girl Diaper Cake

Hi ladies,
I wanted to share with you my FIRST diaper cake that I made for my friend's baby shower last week. She is having a girl and her favorite color is pink...so it worked out perfect! I can't believe that they actually charge $125.00 for something like this!! I already owned everything except the diapers...so it costed me under $18.00....lol...but if I had to buy the bear, ribbons, and flowers it would still be under $30.00 to make....I must be in the wrong business??? lol
I rolled all the diapers and placed string around them....then I added the ribbon and lace....I just cut the flowers leaving the stems and tucked them around the cake. I added ribbon around the bears neck to match the rest of the cake too. It took me about an hour to make this cake...easy peasy!!

Here is a closer view of the ribbons and pink flowers....
Here is a photo of my dear friend Julie "baby bear" and some friends at the shower.

Thanks for stopping by!

*Scrap That! November “Putting on the Glitz” Blog Hop Reveal

Welcome to the Scrap That! November "Putting on the Glitz" Reveal Blog Hop!

First stop on your “hop” is this blog, so if you are here you are in the right place! We have EIGHT BEAUTIFUL blogs for you to visit this weekend, each with some gorgeous projects created using the Scrap That! November "Putting on the Glitz" Glitz Design Vintage Blue collection of papers. So sit back, relax, take your time and enjoy!

If you have just arrived here from Karen’s blog you are in the correct place! If not, head back to the Scrap That! blog for the blog hop order and links. Today I’m going to share with you my project using the Scrap That! November “Putting on the Glitz” Kit featuring the Glitz Design Vintage Blue Paper Collection.
This first layout is yellows and whites....I love the vintage feeling of those amazing shutters by Prima! If you don't have any yet I highly recommend getting some with this amazing add-on kit...In this kit I couldn't stop layering and layering...it has to be my newest favorite kit! I added doilies from a prior Scrap That kit and white lace. This is my Roxy again....she was going through a fad of wearing this yellow ASU jacket like everyday....It was the perfect color photo for this beautiful kit!

A closer view of those amazing vintage shutters...
I made the flowers with cardstock and added the beautiful prima flowers from the kit in the center. I also crimped the leaves and layered them over the swirls from Heartfelt Creations and spellbinders.
Here is my second layout, I used lots of layering of these gorgeous blues and yellows together. This layout was made with the main kit and the only thing I added was the DA music chipboard..hint...it came from another main kit from Scrap That too! I made some of the paper flowers with spellbinders roses...super easy and fun to make... This photo is of my oldest dd and her boyfriend. I RARELY get photos of them together....I think he is picture shy....lol...but the blues of their shirts was the perfect photo to use with these amazing blue vintage papers.
Here is a close-up of the prima roses and the handmade paper flowers. I took part of the feathers from one of the kit's flowers and used it as part of a fun look behind the flowers. The stickles was also from a prior Scrap That kit and as you can see every month you can add on and on from prior kits! Love it!
Here I made some hearts and layered them over each other in the blues and yellows. Here you can see the beautiful DA birdcage that comes with this month's kit. I also loved the birds that I just cut out and used some pop dots behind them....
My third layout is my adorable little niece....I have had this photo for a long time. It is a 5x7 photo of my brother's oldest daughter. She is 6 now! lol...I have been waiting for the perfect colors, papers and theme to capture the beauty of this photo....and...well, this month's kit was just that! Love the yellow flowers and vintage papers...I did add some bling, doily and a small piece of lace.
Here is a close-up of the beautiful grey flower and yellow flowers that come with the add-on kit. It truly is a beautiful flower IRL.

Finalist-Heartfelt Creations!

Im soooo happy and proud to announce that I am a new DT member for Heartfelt Creations! I cant wait to start with the new team and working with their amazing stamps! Come follow me, for there will be lots of beautiful designs coming my way with this amazing company!
Here are a few designs...made for Heartfelt Creations!
This first design I made using the "Cardinal Family Pre-cut Set" I bought it last winter at the convention in AZ and I love the cardinal not only in red, but also in blue! I also used "Bella Rose Leaves Pre-cut Set"and the "Bella Rose Die" for the divine swirls, branches and leaves.
The flowers were made with the "Posy Patch Die" and it is super fast and easy to make these flowers. I also used my tutorial for the "faux envelopes" in white and I added pearls to them.

Here is a close-up the the cardinal and gorgeous leaves and flowers!

For this card, I used the "Bold Bella Rose Pre-Cut Set" and the "Bella Rose Die" I love that you can use roses even for the fall and it still looks beautiful! I added some ribbon and bling to complete this card.
Here is a side view of the fall card....as you can see it is layered and uses some of my fav pop dots...
Hope to see you visit me over at Heartfelt Creations!

"Christmas Cardinal" Card

Happy Sunday!
So here is the first of my Christmas cards that Im planning to make this year...this one is the traditional colors of christmas....i seen this ribbon and i immediately knew i had to have it for the holidays....it looked like candy canes....yum!
I embossed on the white cardstock with two different embossing folders...frame and swiss dots...after i glue it all down it thought I should have used my snowflake embossing folder? Oh well, next card...lol...see what happens when you forget what you own?
I have had these cardinal stamps from Heartfelt Creations...and Im finally breaking them out to use...dont know why it took me sooooo long? I love all their stamps and still keeping my fingers crossed that I make the finals..... :)
I used the spellbinders foliage for the greens and added some prima leaves...in the corners i placed some pearls....been using them a lot recently on all my cards....and topped it off with some clear bling and red flower sequins.
Here is the side angle of the card...it is a 4x6 inch card...i wanted to add some snow but i seen to have misplaced it? hum???? again....

"Autumn Blessings" Card

Hi have been a super card mode since May...and well, Im so addicted its really scary! lol
So I wanted to share with you this card that I scraplifted from KittieKraft...I hope she doesnt mind...but her work is totally amazing and when I seen this card that she made I had to make it something like it...(her is much better though) :)
This is a 5 x 5 card:
I used Martha Stewart vintage lace punch in white cardstock and used my cricut for the frame in the inside: essential accents. I then used the cuttlebug with swiss dots for the inside of the frame. The flowers are cricut: sentimentals layered 1/4 inch smaller on top of each other...i used 4 flowers, 1 1/2inch for the smaller ones and 5 flowers, 2 inches for the larger one. The greenery is all spellbinders foliage...i just kept running it through the machine over and over again. :) I added a small tag using the cricut again and printed "autumn blessings" on it... Finally I addded some vintage peals in the center and it was done! I love this card so much! Thanks Kittie!
Here is a side view...see how the greenery and flowers really pop~!
So a close-up of the flowers, greenery and tag...I added a little string for the tag....
Hope you were inspired as much as I was inspired by this talented cardmaker!
Thanks for stopping by!

"Autumn" Card

Hi
This morning i felt like making a autumn card.....here in the valley of the sun, AZ we dont get much of these colors....but I do remember them very well from Chicago. I have had this jolee's sticker since day one of scrapbooking and I finally am using it! Years later! So this is the fastest card I have ever made....it took a whole 10 minutes to make...I seen something almost exactly like it over at spiltcoasterstampers.com...it was made by a very talented lady....so elegant for the fall...thank you Kittie! BTW...hers is more beautiful by a long shot!
The best part of this card was how super fast mine came together by using a sticker....I also just bought this embossing frame yesterday....its so beautiful! You will seeing this frame around my blog more and more....:)
Here is a side view. I added Vintage pearls on all the corners for a little something extra....also the fringed hay ribbon? Sorry I dont know what it is really called? Raffia...
My sticker that I FINALLY used since 2006! LOL
Thanks for stopping by!
