Happy Birthday Mom

Hi sharing with you today I made for my mother's upcoming birthday. She loves shabby chic and vintage....but she LOVED this image of the cat (even though he is sick) LOL I bought the stamp set at the local card convention at the Art Impression booth. I hope she likes it as I am still learning to color with markers.

I used the Lawn Fawn gingham paper. The cat is the same color as the from of the stamp. After the fact I thought I should have made the cat orange because she loves orange cats. Oh well, next year!

I added some leftover flowers and fussy cut them smaller since that is all I have left in the stash....a really old set from Prima. I also mixed and matched die cuts and distressed the edges.  The background pair is from Lawn fawn and most of the items used here can be found at scrapbook.com
LOVE that store!

Boo

Boo to you! Yes....I know it is July but why not start ahead since there are so many great Halloween papers coming out at scrapbook.com. I used some old Spellbinders die cuts, some Cheery Lynn Design die cuts and a fun Martha Stewart punch. The papers are from Pebbles called Midnight Haunting.

I just love layering and this card was inspired by a sketch from Viva La Verve. Now that Julee has closed her stores and 2 blog sites...I so sad! Hoping you are doing fantastic!

You Are Jawsome

Hi Happy Saturday! Today, I wanted to play with the Color Throwdown #502 swatch. It has all the blues of a beautiful beach with some neutral colors too. So I thought I would bring out the adorable shark from Lawn Fawn and also use those beautiful stitched waves too.

The papers are from Graphic 45 and I also used the gorgeous Impression Obsession Sea Birds. The colors are from Cheery Lynn Designs.

I added some bling for bubbles....
The inspirational colors and photo too!

Snappy Birthday! with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello! Welcome back to another fun card using lots of Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts! I felt like making a birthday card since today is my birthday. I also thought about making this card for a friend that i know that happens to have his birthday today too. Only problem is he is 20 years younger....

I used an oval for my water, cat tails, reeds, wood, and clouds. Plus the fabulous crocodiles with tiny pearls on their back, nose and eye. Little white dots were dabbed on the cat tail. There is a bit of gloss on the raindrops. I wasn't thinking sad birthday but I wanted to add some extra blue on the card. There is grass on the inside.

The sentiment was printed on my computer.

Furever Friends with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello again! I'm sharing today a cat card that was inspired by vintage old New York. I used lots of fun Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts, plus a few stamps that I fussy cut out. I have been wanting to use the "vintage books" for a while now. I thought the "paris sign" would be great for the sentiment.

I used some prima patterned paper and some cream and kraft cardstock. I then distressed the edges of the papers to give it an old worn out look. The "windows" were die cut out in black and then I placed cream paper behind it. The books were die cut in cream and then I distressed them with vintage ink.

I kept the same colors for the mouse, yarn and fishbowl. The cats were die cut out twice and I just used part of the cats for the top window.

Thanks for stopping but today!
Have a great day!
