Mother's Kittens *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

Hello, It's Lisa with this week's card for Cheery Lynn Designs. I can't believe it is the end of the month already and my guest designing has already come to an end...wish it could last longer...although Im sure there are lots of ladies wanting to guest design too...good luck to you all! So here is my card that was inspired from this week's challenge...Mother's Day! I chose a mother cat and kittens because my mother LOVES cats and so this reminds me of her so much. In fact, this image also has 3 kittens and well, that is exactly like me and my two siblings. Love you mother!

I chose cream, white, pink and kraft for my color theme. My mother loves pinks and vintage so with all Cheery Lynn Diecuts this made this card perfect for her. I used 6 diecuts on this card:

I really love the miniature roses. They are super small and now I don't need to by those tiny roses anymore :) now I can make my own....love it. Remember a couple of weeks ago I mention getting more diecuts at the local convention??? Well, that is something I did. Besides getting the miniature roses, I also purchased the flourish leaf strip and a birdcage. Im so excited to use some of them today and I will be using them more in the near future :)

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my Mother's Day card made with all the wonderful Cheery Lynn Diecuts. I sure hope my mother loves it too! Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Hugs, Lisa

Proud To Be An American!

This past weekend, I was thinking about the sad losses and the horrible tragedy of the Boston Marathon Runners, friends and family. It is still a shocking story to so many of us. It then reminded me of how strong our nation can come to together after even a horrific event. I was thinking of making a card for the Fourth of July soon. Not only is it my favorite Holiday but I wanted to remember all the men and women who fight for our country to keep it free. I then remembered the song by Lee Greenwood "Proud To Be An American". The song goes straight to my heart and always brings tears to my eyes. I once even seen the dancing fountains at the Bellagio, Las vegas...dance to this song. It was so beautiful and it will always touch me so very deeply. So this is a card to tribute to the friends, family and love ones in the Boston Marathon and to salute all the men and women who fight for us.
Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

This is a funky folded card that was designed by Cheryl. I haven't made one in a while and I really love how fast and easy it really is to make. I used lots of bling and spellbinders diecuts. The little stars I cut out twice and glued a piece of wire in between to hold them up. I then glittered them with fairy dust glitter by Donna Salazar. The papers are all from K & Company and I made more little Bitty Blossoms with the same paper line.

I even did the inside to match the outside with even more bling. This card really shines!

God Bless All of Us!
I'm so Proud To Be An American!
See you soon...

Farewell Heartfelt Wednesday's "Call Me"

Well, today I am sharing with you my last post with Heartfelt Creations. I have been with HC for 18 months now and well, this time when the new DT was chosen...I did not make it. I was a bit sad this past weekend, for I really try to make projects that I believe the scrapbooking/cardmakers enjoy. Perhaps the public is looking for something new and fresh...Well, I suppose it is not meant to be? Maybe God has a new plan for me in the future.... Meanwhile, I have really enjoyed being part of a wonderful company and I really hope all the best for the New Design Team.
So here is my final card made for HC, it is part of the new collection this month called "balmy breeze". It has wonderful beach stamps and these ducks that are super great for that guy in your life.

Im not much of a colorer...as I have mentioned in the past. But the neutrals were good to use with the background paper called "back country"

Here is a side view....with a little bit of pop dots.

Hope you have a great day...I sure will miss it all!
A big Thank You to all of my Heartfelt followers out there! I really have appreciated all your support and wonderful comments throughout the past 18 months...I read them all!

Take Life....

Hello, it is Monday again and today I made a card for this week's The Shabby Tea Room #163
"Spring Bliss". The colors are so cheerful and I wanted to cheer myself up a bit since this past weekend...Ive been a little sad....I will share the story soon....So this week was to use the colors, yellow, green and white/cream, also to use flowers and polka dots. Pretty easy to do flowers for me because Im addicted to them.

Here is the inspirational photo this week....beauty!

The paper is literally a scrap piece from an old project and it was perfect for the yellow polka dots. I also made a small circles in the centers of my daisies. I added pearls around the whole 5 x 5 card.
The leaves, small flowers and doily are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the daisies, stamped tea cups and small tags are from Heartfelt Creations... I wanted to add the tags to the tea cups to resemble tea bags with the sentiment "Take Life...One Tea Cup At A Time"

A closer view...
I added the green sheer ribbon on the bottom that I really thought it looked like the wine glass....

Im hoping to cheer up soon...be back soon...

Spring Makes the Heart Sing *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

Hi...so is everyone ready for spring already? Spring here in Arizona starts really in March where lots of parts of the country are still very cold....However, it's later April and I'm sure it has to be finally getting nice for everyone. :) So today, I'm sharing with you a card made for Cheery Lynn Designs inspired by this week's challenge to use purple. I don't use purple a lot but I really like how this card came out using lots of Cheery Lynn Diecuts. They really are addicting! lol

Here is a closer view...I decided to use up some of my old prima flowers..you know the ones you mostly used and then have a few stragglers around? Well, here they are being used to enhance the intricate diecuts. The heart sentiment was printed on the computer with "scriptina" & "new times" I love pre-made sentiment stamps but I can never find the right size that I want for cards? So I just find it easier to make them myself. :)

As you can see this card is not as bulky as some of my cards which makes it a great card to mail. The beautiful stamped image is from Heartfelt Creations...it is 2 different stamp sets "busy bee" & "antique essentials". I colored them with prismacolor pencils and added tiny pearls.
I used 5 diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs:

Thanks for popping in to see my purple card!
Hope spring is there and it makes your heart sing too!
Have a great day!

It's Your Day *TSTR #162 "Pretty Shabby"*

Hello, I wanted to share with you today my shabby chic card inspired by this week's The Shabby Tea Room #162 "Pretty Shabby" Challenge. So when I check out the week's photo inspiration, I tend to lean towards the photo completely. I guess it is because when I am making cards in general I am inspired by photos...so once again here is what I think looks like the photo (below). I used lots of Cheery Lynn Diecuts on this 5 x 5 card. The butterfly, the roses, the kraft leaves, doilies and the beautiful window. The branches behind the leaves are from Spellbinders "mixd media elements" by Donna Salazar.

This week's challenge was to use the colors in the photo as well as something recycled. My recycled item was popsicle sticks. I used 4 in total. Two are the base and two were cut up in 2 inches and layered sideways for the steps with pearls on the ends.

Here is the photo inspiration...see what I mean! lol

All the bottles were cut with my cricut "walk in my garden" vases at 1 inch in turquoise and white cardstock. I then added diamond glaze to the tops for a glossy and water look. All the tiny flowers were made with a punch bunch and I added pearls in the centers.

Here you can see the true dimension to this card. I made the tag with a new diecut from Heartfelt Creations and the sentiment was stamped from a wine stamp set. I tend to use the computer quite a bit for my sentiments and almost did again but then I found the perfect size stamp for this small tag. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you get inspired by the photo as much as I did too!
Have a great evening.
Hugs...

Heartfelt Wednesday's *Bon Voyage*

Can you believe it is another Heartfelt Wednesday? I tell you I sometimes don't know where the days go? Well, I usually work on my projects on Saturday's since that is the day I'm off to work on them for sure....and I usually finish them in the same day...thank goodness because we have deadlines to make for the DT....Well, this card was made way earlier....I guess it is because it comes easier for me with this new "Balmy Breeze" collection. I just love the water and everything about it. So this card is more for a man with no flowers, ribbons or anything girly. I rarely do cards for men because I have a hard time making them but, i really like the way this card came out today. :)

Lots of embossing on this 5 x 5 card, but the good news it only took about an hour or less to make.

Beautiful stamps and so refreshing even if it is black and neutral colors. Love the little anchors too. My daughter helped me with the title/sentiment. She speaks fluent French...so that was her inspiration for a title. Thank you Roxy! Muah!

Thanks for looking...have a great week! Be sure to stop by Heartfelt Creations Blog for more beautiful cards and projects from our DT.

By The Sea *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

Hi...Happy Saturday! It's Lisa back again guest designing with another card for Cheery Lynn Designs using some fabulous diecuts! Since, I had some store credit for designing this month, here are a few of the beautiful diecuts I received just a few days ago. It is soooo hard to chose a few when I want them all! I have been in this beach mood lately, but I didn't want to use the same old beach theme colors like blues and oranges. So I chose red...after all it is my favorite color and I just love those red beach chairs that you sometimes see at resorts.

I wanted to use a window and I love the beautiful fancy scroll work on top. This diecut is called "Window A" and the possibilities with this diecut are limitless. The doily in the background called "French Pastry" is one that I have wanted for a very long time because I use doilies so often for many of my projects and now I can make it in different colors to match perfectly. :)

The flowers are part of the stacker collection and this one is "Stacker Flower #2" I was happily surprised to see the size of them...I was thinking that they would be a bit smaller....I'm so glad they were larger than I thought. :) I cut up the "Fanciful Flourish" in a couple pieces to layer the greenery a bit. I then added some real shells. The stamped images are from Heartfelt Creations it is part of their new collection this month. Last but not least, I added a tiny tag with a sentiment printed from my computer.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day and weekend. I will be attending a local scrapbook convention today and hope to buy more new Cheery Lynn Designs Diecuts....Love them!
Maybe see you there!
Hugs, Lisa

Heartfelt Wednesday's *New Balmy Breeze Collection* Count The Waves

Welcome to another Heartfelt Wednesday
We're absolutely delighted to bring you the Balmy Breeze Collection. Old world vintage has been combined with tranquil seaside scenes (including a rustic compass, beach chair, fantastic surf, beaming lighthouses) and the Balmy Breeze paper pack, composed of a neutral color palette of peach and mint hues. This set is perfect for the crafter that loves creating vintage projects or for the stamper looking to create a project for her favorite man.
Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by April 16th and you will be eligible to win the entire release valued at $180.91

There are lots of minty blues in this collection but there is also this peach colored patterned paper that I wanted to use for this particular photo because of the colors of the sunset. So I kept most of the colors in creams and kraft paper.

The stamped chair is really feels like your at the beach and I just love the small anchors with matching diecut. The tags are part of the new collection and it is great for journaling and titles. Especially for me since I tend to run out of room....lol

These flowers are "lily petals" and there is also a matching diecut. I have used them before for a beach theme. I also had to add some real shells and fishnet. The swirls are from "bella rose" diecut and I just cut off the swirls from the leaves.

Check out those beautiful seagulls, decorative lattice and compass...all part of the new collection. If you are like me...there is lots of stamps to make all your beach themed projects come to life.

Dont forget to check out the new collection and your chance to win it too at the
Have a great day!

Butterfly Kisses For You *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

Good Morning everybody! I was so lucky to win the Easter Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs last month and to my surprise I was asked to Guest Design for Cheery Lynn for the month of April. :) So here is my first card for the month using lots of Cheery Lynn products. I started buying them last year and I'm slowly building up a collection...I sure do love them because they are so delicate and really cut so nice. It is really hard to pick which ones I want because I want them all! This card was inspired by today's challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs Blog "Nature" and springtime. I bought this paper years ago and it has been sitting around for quite some time...but it was perfect for today's card. Purples, blues, yellows and white really made me think of spring.

So, I used 5 different Cheery Lynn diecuts on this card.
DL113 Exotic Butterflies Small #2
The card is 5 x 6 inches and I cut the edge with my MS punch, I have been looking for new edges to my standard 5 x 6 inch cards and I love the look of using the punches. Plus it works so great with all the diecuts too. The little tag I printed up on the computer with purple ink.

Here you can see a closer view of all the beautiful diecuts. All the flowers are part of the patterned paper and I just fussy cut them out and layered them throughout. I also added little pearls on the butterflies, tag and on the top left hand corner.

I hope you feel the warm spring coming your way soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Wednesday's *Missing You...*

So today for Heartfelt Wednesday, I wanted to share with you a very special layout that I made in memory of my daughter's loss of her boyfriend last month. This is a photo of Nick and Erica a few months back and it is one of very few photos I have of them together. They looked so happy together and it still is a great loss to everyone who knew and loved him. So I titled the layout "Missing You" since that is how we all feel.... The beautiful papers are from Heartfelt Creations called "posy patch" and they are just lovely. I fussy cut out lots of flowers and I added lots of diecuts.

Here you can see the "posy patch" paper of the bird and flowers. There are great stamps if you want to color the bird and flowers a different color. However, I wanted to use the papers to show the beautiful pre-made colors for you. Behind the bird is a diecut called "timeless amour" it is a beautiful heart that is a must have in your collection for all kinds of occasions.

The sentiment is a stamp from "classic messages" I just love the font and I layered it with "fancy framed tags two"...the bling is from ZVA and you can also buy it through Heartfelt Creations.

I framed the photo in teal and then used "romantic rectangles" in black cardstock. You can also see I stamped flowers in teal for a bit of contrast. There are "vintage floret" flowers stamped on the "posy patch" paper and I added gala glitz in the centers.

It has been a really long time since I last made a 12 x 12 layout because I have seemed to have lost my mojo for them for a while....however, I am so glad it came back to make this photo special.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by Heartfelt Creations Blog for new projects from our DT.

Sweet Baby *Mojo Monday #287*

Hi, this morning I wanted to make a new card for a friend of mine who is going to be a grandmother...wow! Does our children grow up fast or what? So this past weekend was the baby shower and unfortunately I wasn't able to go but I wanted to make a card for her daughter and send a gift. She is planning to have a boy...however, I started to make a blue card and ended up neutral.

This card sketch is from today's Mojo Monday #287. It is already the beginning of April....spring is around the corner for everyone...I'm lucky it get it early here in Arizona :) The papers are from Anna Griffin and they are so soft and beautiful for a baby card. The sentiment is from Verve stamps called "treasured words" I love all the different cards you can make with just one wonderful stamp set.

I couldn't help myself and add lots and lots of pearls throughout. The sentiment is stamped on "lacey circles" and the side matching oval is "lacey ovals". I had literally one cream flower left from a Prima set and I added one more pearl in the center.

Here is a side view and I'm working on the inside now....

The fabulous sketch for this week...Thank You Julee!

Have a great Monday!
xoxo
