"Hello Kitty" Cards

Good Morning,
Today, I wanted to share with you two new cards I made last night for my adorable nieces. Their birthday's are very close together and they are one year apart....so they like the same things. Since they are having a combination birthday party this year, I made two of the same cards in two different colors, because those of us who have little girls know they will fight over the same card....lol....I just hope they don't fight over the same color too! lol

The girls love "hello kitty"....so I wanted to make them "hello kitty" cards....I know there is a cricut cartridge of hello kitty, but I don't own it. So I resorted to the internet coloring book pages and found this "hello kitty" on-line. I resized it and printed it up on cardstock. Then I used my stickles to color in the hairbow and outfit. I have some leftover doilies from this months Scrap That! Exclusive Pion Songbird Kit and I placed them in the background. I embossed the colored cardstock with a flower pattern and used my cricut for the floral design and clouds. I used storybook for the floral pattern and graphically speaking for the clouds. Lastly, I added pop dots behind the kitty and chalked clouds with tiny pearls in the corner. I really hope the girls like their "hello kitty" cards!

Here is one card at a time.

Happy Birthday Roxanne!

Hi!
Its been a whole week since I lasted posted anything...wow!
Today is my baby daughter's birthday...she turned 19 today...wow! where does the time go?
Well, I quickly made a birthday card using a combo of the cards I have made recently....I used the elegant shape that I so love with the bridal card, the boys balloon card and the Hello card into one new birthday card for my daughter....she loved it....I'm so glad!
Here is the side view and I tried the inside to look like the outside....i put all the journaling inside on the same shape...first time...I also used curling ribbon to give it a more birthday feel to the card.
I just so love this stamp from Heartfelt Creations....You can make it any color you want and the oval shape from Heartfelt Creations....is a totally a must have for elegant cards!
Thanks for stopping by....

Cricut 360 Challenge #7

Howdy Partners!
That is our theme this week over at Cricut 360! Do you have a little Cowgirl in you? Recently, I made some cowgirl layouts with Scrap That!...you can see them here! I live in AZ and well there is lots of southwestern inspiration here...but when I seen Campin Critters cartridge, I knew I had to have it for this week's challenge....its a good reason to shop for more cricut! wink!
I used a standard 5 x 7 card in kraft paper and lined it with brown and blue jean paper. I used lots of left overs from my Scrap That kit this month...so loved it!
The "Campin Critters" desert scene was cut at 3 inches and the horse from "Country Life" (another new cartridge, lol) was cut at 2 inches. The stars are layered using George Basic Shapes...I also used my cuttlebug Swiss Dots for the cactus and medium star...I'm really happy on how this Western Card came out!
Although, my oldest daughter says "How come its not my favorite horse" lol She loves the spotted ones the most....oh well, next time!

Here is a side profile...as you know how I love those pop dots!
A closer view of this cute horse!
So come on over and play with us this week at Cricut 360!
Here is this week's fabulous PRIZE!
See you there!

Bridal Shower Card #5

Hi
So like I have been making these Bridal Shower Cards lately and the last card was very close but not exact colors....however, today I hope i nailed it? lol
I looked long and hard for the right paper colors and pattern. Not an easy one to find at all....but here is what I believe to be the perfect match. Instead of using white card...I changed it to a cream card...a more vintage color. I also used cream pearls instead of the white and changed the green leaves to a darker green. Instead of using the paper lace in the back, I used my exclusive spellbinders oval frame. You can buy yours at Heartfelt Creations...I just love love love their products! I also added a ribbon bow on the bottom and prima flowers. I love the way the second card came out. Very similar to the last bridal shower card...and yet tweaked a bit....you can compare to two here.
In this photo, I embossed the oval frame...with my cuttlebug D'Vine....now i think it really pops!

Here is a better color...the light is so bright here in AZ...it sometimes looks brighter than it truly is....but this angle shows the softer vintage colors.

A closer view of the prima flowers and pearls!

Thanks for looking!

Cricut 360 Challenge #6

Good Morning!
Its still HOT HOT Hot here in the valley! So what do I think of as refreshing? Lemons and lemonade...it's "A Slice Of Summer" That is our challenge this week over at Cricut 360! Things that are refreshing! ahhhh....
For this card, I used George Basic Shapes to make the circles and the triangles. I chalked all the pieces very lightly and used a white marker for the slices inside. I used a stamp in the background for a touch of swirl...and just added pearls on the tips as well as the center on the lemon. I actually have white paper in the back and ribbon but it didn't show the way I thought it would...oops...it was a boo boo...lol....guess it can happen sometimes...i just made the best of it!
A side view: I used some green leaves instead of stamps....I also found free lemon clip art re- sized them, printed, colored and glossed them. just to add a bit more lemons to the card...
I used the circle pathway again to make the title. Finished the card with a small yellow ribbon.
I hope this card quenches your thirst and inspires you to make something "refreshing" for this week's challenge over at Cricut 360!
Here is this week's PRIZE!....so come on over and play!
Also every month there is a winner that is chosen for a grand PRIZE of a NEW cricut Cartridge! So don't forget to put your chance to win over at Cricut 360! Come on over to Cricut 360 to see if you are our lucky winner this month!
Happy Scrapping and Cardmaking!
