Welcome Back

Hi! Welcome back to my blog! Well this card was inspired by the Lawn Fawnatics #84 Back To School Challenge. I knew I wanted to use bright primary colors for this card. I also recently bought Riley's ABC's and it was perfect for my books and banner. The welcome is from A Little Bundle stamps.

I made the background paper, books, chalk board, and pencil using signo white gel pen and a black marker. The brick was made using the brick stencil from Lawn Fawn.

The owl's are from So Awesome. I used the sentiment banners for the banner on top with A Little Bundle string. The scissors and tape are from Holiday Helpers.

The inspiration! Thank You!

Thank You for helping me Grow!

Hi! Happy Friday!
Im sharing with you today a new card for my girlfriend's daughter to give to her teacher today. I have made a couple teacher cards in the past and this one is somewhat similar to an older card except I decided to use a flower pot and use a quote that I seen on pinterest. I asked my friend what color the teacher likes and I was told turquoise....so I thought these colors would work out.

I added a ruler in the center and a cute pencil with glitter that I bought recently at the card convention. Actually, it seems so long ago.....lol

All the die cuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs....leave a comment below if you have a question...thanks The inside is layered with a couple punches and room for a gift card...

Pearls, bling and ribbon are a must right? The background was supposed to represent a chalkboard ...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a great weekend!

ABC-123 With The Shabby Tea Room # 258

Hi Shabby Gals!
Welcome back to another fun challenge with The Shabby Tea Room
This week it is ABC-123 #258. The photo inspired below is all about school. The wonderful prize this week is sponsor by The Paper Temptress. The papers are wonderful and I used 3 for my project today!
My children are all adults  now but I know that the kids around here are already back to school. They start earlier here in AZ but they also get out of school in May. :)

The sunflowers were made with Cheery Lynn Designs diecut and "Lemondrop" paper. I added Gala Glitz in the centers for some extra bling. I also used some leftover pieces of black bling swirls for a shabby look . A real pencil was cut to fit the center of the card and I stamped a ruler from Donna Salazar on the "Sour Apple" paper. The Pierced Stacker #4 is also from Cheery Lynn Designs and I stamped a sentiment from Verve in white and embossed it in white embossing powder. The outline is a white signo pen. The light green patterned paper is from Prima. It was a great match to the "Sour Apple" paper. I finished it off with some black and white ribbon.

A closer view. All the papers are really smooth and silky. I really Loved the "Onyx" black!

The fabulous photo!

Back To School

So today, I was on a total scraplifting mood for a back to school card. All my children are in college and one has already graduated college...yikes, Im gettting old! While I was browsing on pinterest a few days back I seen this AMAZING card made by Carrie Gaskin...I loved it so much I just had to lift it! I think it totally screams "Back to School" and even though I don't have a person to give it to I wanted to play with some fun colors... :) You can see Carrie's original card here. Thanks Carrie!

I did change the numbers to letters and added more buttons. The letters are made with my cricut using "schoolbook plantin". I also made the schoolbook paper with white cardstock and a black marker with tiny punch holes.

The pencil made from a popsicle stick was also a scraplift idea from Tracy F. at sb.com.
Pure GENIUS!
I colored the pencil with smooches and a black copic marker.

Hope you are inspired as much as I was today...have a great day!
Hugs!
