Happy BIRD Day

Hi, I finished this card yesterday and was able to upload it today. I made a card inspired by the Cupcake Challenge #496. I have had the die cuts from Cheery Lynn Designs for quite some time now. However this is the first time breaking out the flamingo from Elizabeth Crafts. Super cute and easy to put together.

I love the pinks, oranges and green together too.

I actually used several scraps of papers too.

My inspiration from the flamingo and orange flowers.

Sorry I'm Slow....Happy Belated Birthday

Hi! I had to share this fun cute belated birthday card inspired by Lawn Fawnatics #74 sketch. Most of the die cuts are from Lawn Fawn. However, two are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I love these adorable sloths....I bought it because it is one of my daughter's favorite animals. She also loves green...

In the inside I used more grassy hillside.

A closer view.....

The sketch....Thanks...I rarely ever use a sketch twice...

Happy Birthday! With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello again! Today, Im sharing a new tropical card for Cheery Lynn Designs
I made a cascading card using similar flowers and papers in the past. So, I wanted to used the amazing tropical leaves too!

I was thinking of Hawaii
The ocean sounds great...guess the lake will have to do...
The stamped sentiment is from Verve and all the die cuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Closer view....I misted the flowers and leaves so they would stay scrunched up.

Tropical Birthday With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello everyone! I'm here today to share with you my first cascading card made for Cheery Lynn Designs. I have been making some different shaped cards lately. So I wanted to make this cascading card using lots of tropical flowers. It was inspired from patterned paper by K & Company. You will see the patterned paper below.

Lots of "tropical flowers" in hot pink, orange, and yellow. The "olive branches" and "flourishes" were my fillers. The "olive branches" even match the green patterned paper too!  I placed small pop dots behind the flowers for a bit more 3D look.

On the top edge I die cut "dancing doily" in white and fussy cut out 6 pieces.

I layered the "dancing doily" on the edge first. Next I placed leaves and flourishes and then placed the flowers on top. The "tropical flower" has 2 pieces, I die cut one in the color and then in white on top.

The sentiment was stamped in black and fussy cut out too.
Here you can see how it is flat for mailing.

Last, but not least...my patterned paper that was my inspiration!

Aloha!

Aloha!
Last night, we had a major thunderstorm come though the valley. Lots of rain and today it is cooler but sticky...I started to think about the tropical islands. Instead of saying "Hello" I thought I would use "Aloha" instead and use some bright colors. I have this paper for years and today it was perfect for my tropical theme. The sketch is this month's Mojo Monday #396 Contest.

I wanted to really focus on the colorful paper so I used it on the inner rectangle too. The circle is from Spellbinders,  Splendid Circles and all the rest of the diecuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I used Fishtail Banners, Tropical Flourish, Gardenia Strip, and a new release Scandinavian Tag 2 that was the perfect diecut size to place above and below my title.

A closer view...I made the red flower because I didn't have the exact size or bright red flower that I wanted to use today. I also added little lines with a black marker to match the paper. A placed a small pearl in the center. The other teal/blue flowers were part of my big bag of flowers that I bought at the scrapbook rummage sale. :)

The fabulous sketch for this month's contest! I recently ordered some sequins and stamps from the Verve store....can't wait for the arrival!
Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
