If The Shoe Fits...With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, It's Lisa back today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs! I really had NO idea what I wanted to do this week since the challenge is "Anything Goes". However, I recently received the "Dainty Dutch Deco Frame" and I wanted to use it soon. I actually wasn't going to make a Halloween card even though it is really right around the corner....but then I received the beautiful "Women's Shoe" and thought of making it red. Hence the title"If The Shoe Fits". I printed up the sentiment and then diecut it out with "Royal Scandinavian Tag 2". I diecut it out again in black and placed it behind the white for a shadow.

The background paper has bats with red eyes. So I thought why not red bats with black eyes? The bats are part of the "Bat Family" I diecut three to balance the red of the elegant high heel shoe. I then found this witch online with hight heels on her feet and fussy cut her out.

A closer view with some pop dots under the shoe, witch, sentiment and bats.

The sketch is an old one from Mojo Monday #250. I loved the layers and I when I seen this month's September Inspirational Challenge with Verve, I knew I wanted to make a card with banners.

The Fishtail Banners are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the leaves are from Lawn Fawn. I used my Martha Stewart punch for the lace edges and the lacey circles are from Spellbinders. I added tiny pearls around the edges of the circles.

The papers are new from Simple Stories called Pumpkin Spice. I colored the coffee cup with copic markers. I also added pop dots behind the smaller circle and the cup.

Here are the Free Digital Images from Verve! Thanks so much!

Here is this months inspirational challenge photo.

Last but not least, here is the beautiful layered sketch!

Latte Love & Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
Once again I was lucky to get the day off today! Yay!
So I was able to finish up a gift for someone and mail it out and then work on this week's
Viva La Verve Sept #4 sketch. In addition, I seen free digital stamps from Verve and it is celebrating the Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop starting today. I recently bought more Verve stamps and they came yesterday, however I could not pass up these beautiful free digital stamps! Love the sentiments and all the coffee cups.

The papers are new from the fall collection by Simple Stories called Pumpkin Spice. I used my old Spellbinders Lacey Ovals and added tiny cream pearls. The Beautiful leaves are also new from Lawn Fawn. They are super detailed!

The sketch is wonderful but I needed my ribbon and bow in chocolate to match the darker brown on the leaves of the coffee cup. I colored them with copic markers. Lastly, I added a bit of bling for the heat coming out of the warm coffee. Yum!

Here are the Free Digital Stamps! I downloaded the zip file to make several sizes. Thanks so much!

Here is the sketch! Thx Laurie!

Have a great evening!

Happy Belated Birthday

Hi everyone!
Today I made a card that was inspired by a challenge over at scrapbook.com. I place pretty much all my cards and layouts over there for an extra gallery. Every month there are challenges that are inspiring to play along. Since, I have been on card roll...I thought I would enter some cards using the sketches for the month. This is one of the sketches. I added an extra insert label along the side.

I actually don't have a late belated birthday card, so I thought it would be a great card to have on hand just in case :)

The papers are from Prima and I distressed all the edges. Flowers are part of my goodies bag from the scrapbooking yard sale. The punch is Martha Stewart and the ribbon was made using my ribbon maker. Love that tool!

The cards are removable, so I could write little sayings on the fronts and backs. Like little love notes.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Getting ready for the weekend!

Hello Pumpkin With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello Everyone! Its Lisa here today sharing with you a new card inspired by this week's challenge "Lace" with Cheery Lynn Designs. I wanted to make a pumpkin and well, it kind of turned out a bit different than I imagined. You every have that happen to you? The colors are a bit bright but I wanted it to match the background papers. The pumpkin was made using 5 of the smallest ovals from "Oval Stitch and Cut Tool" I just layered them together and Ta Da Large Pumpkin. The Leaves in green and the cream leaves on the bottom are "Flourish #14" along with the large "Flourish #4"

On the bottom, I used "Grass Border" and I added a few stamps with Kraft Cardstock. The stem for the pumpkin was clip art off the internet. I resized it to match my pumpkin size. Real "Lace" was placed in the center of the card.

Here you can see a closer view of the beautiful details of the ovals, grass and leaves.

Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone!
I'm sharing a new card that I made last night for my girlfriend's daughter coming up in December. I know it is a bit early, but I was in the mood for purple and I wanted to use the beautiful sketch from Cardabilities #131. I seen that Heartfelt Creations is the sponsor this time and I loved being part of the DT once upon a time.... So I thought I would bring out some of my old papers from Heartfelt Creations to design this card.

I distressed the edges of all the papers and fussy cut out the vines and butterflies from the HC patterned papers. The Olive Branches and French Doily are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I stamped the cake and sentiment from Verve. I seen the cake a while back and it was temporary out of stock. Finally when it came back I had to purchase it quick!

The flowers are from Recollections and the tiny roses I inked them up a bit darker to help match the card a little bit more. The cake was colored with purple pencils and I added a little shimmer to the top. I'm not so great with coloring, but I didn't realize that I didn't have any purple copics? On my list this upcoming weekend for the Scrapbooking Expo in Mesa, AZ

There are pop dots behind the cake and the sentiment. The purple lace border was cut with Martha Stewart punch. It is one of my favorites.

Here is the sketch! Thank you so much!

Have a wonderful day!

#260 Swirls & Twirls With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi Happy Monday!
Today, I'm sharing with a new card and cute little "pumpkin treat box" from Cutting Cafe. It was inspired by this week's The Shabby Tea Room photo "Swirls & Twirls". I originally planned on making the gift bag in a lighter orange, so this one was supposed to be my sample. As it turned out, I loved it after all and decided to make a matching card to go with it in the same color.

Here is the adorable treat box. I added some kraft cardstock for the top stem and some leaves from Cheery Lynn Designs Rose Leaves. The little handle is black ribbon with sheer ribbon around the whole pumpkin. I added thin black ribbon around the base and cute little ghosts from "Boo to You" Verve stamps. Lastly, I added an orange glitter rose from Michael's dollar bin

This is the backside of the pumpkin treat box. I added more leaves and some tissue paper fits inside. Its great to give as a small gift or even place on the table for your guests.

I had fun making a matching card. I printed up a jar from clip art online and fussy cut it out. I used Verve stamps, "boo to you" pumpkins, ghosts and sentiment. The black swirls are chipboard and I inked them with black ink. To resemble the candy pieces in the jar I cut a small paper circle and a a strip of paper just shy of .75 inch wide, then I layered it with twining ribbon.

There are a few layers of ribbon and I punched white cardstock with my Martha Stewart puncher. I planned on embossing the orange cardstock, but I didnt like the was it looked, so I kept it plain and added little faux stitching in black. Lastly I added more leaves and an orange rose.

Here is the inspiration photo for the next two weeks with The Shabby Tea Room!

Abundant Blessings

Good Morning!
I had to make a card this morning for Mojo Monday #416. I thought of donuts again! LOL But then I thought I would go ahead and make another Thanksgiving card using my Verve stamps. I Love the turkey and well since I cant color to well, this image is right up my alley because I didn't have to do any shadowing. :)

I was trying to keep it CAS for a change....the only thing was I could not help myself with the tiny bow and tiny flowers. I really tried! No patterned paper either. I embossed the yellow cardstock.

The circles are pierced circles from Cheery Lynn Designs and the oval with the sentiment is from Spellbinders.

The great sketch for the week! Thx

Have a great day!
Be sure to stop by for lots of cards this week too!

Happy Hauntings

Good Afternoon!
Well, I'm back today with another Halloween card using this week's sketch from
It is a great sketch and the possibilities are endless.... I originally was going to use some beautiful pre-made leaves but then I also wanted to use my new stamps that I received a couple days ago from Verve. I love the two little ghosts together and the beautiful font "happy haunting" I fussy cut them both out. They are part of the "Boo To You" stamps from Verve

I used my Cheery Lynn Diecut "horizon fishtail" for the banner and then used my corner punch for the center piece. Before I uploaded my photos, I looked at it and thought it needed something else? So, I bought out some black Zva bling, but then I didn't like it....So I found thin black ribbon and made a tiny bow. Almost perfect? I decided to add black dots along the edges of the orange patterned paper cardstock...Now I was finally happy! lol

The papers are Bazzill and the patterned papers are from Teresa Collins.

Here is the fun sketch this week! Thx Stacey!

Thanks again for stopping by as always!
Have a great day!

Gingerbread Men

Good Morning!
TGIF and I was able to get the day off today! YAY!
I made this card the other night and getting to post it this morning. A new Christmas card using  the same paper collection that I used a couple cards back called "Noel" from American Crafts. I just love the vintage colors. I distressed the edges again too.

This time I wanted to add a couple of gingerbread men. They are diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs "gingerbread family" I added wiggle eyes to them.  The flowers are part of my stash and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from Bo Bunny.  I just fussy cut it out and added pop dots behind it.

A closer view.  I love my bow maker. It makes bows so easy to make.

Have a great Friday!

White Christmas

 Hello!
Today, Im here sharing with you a card I made a few days back inspired by a sketch I recently seen. I didnt make the deadline, but I still made the card. The all white card was also inspired by Monia a cardmaker from scrabook.com. She has lovely cards. So it is a combination of the two and here is my version. I added a silver glitter ornament behind the shaker star. I realized as I was making my shaker, that I tend to make mine popping outwards instead of staying behind a larger piece of cardstock? I dont know why that is the way I do it, but it works. lol

The star is 3 inches and I cut it out with my cricut since I dont have any star diecuts, except tiny ones. The branches are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the sentiment if from Bo Bunny! I had the bow made from a project that I changed my mind on making quite some time ago.  The star sequins are from Verve.

Lots of distressed layering and embossed the top snowflake/dots....yes I tried the dots first and instead of getting a new piece of white carstock I embossed it again with the snowflakes...can barely tell... :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day!

Tombstone With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back this week with a new and easy card to make for Halloween! I used only 2 pieces of plain cardstock too. I wanted to make something for this week's challenge "Things With Wings", I thought, why not bats! LOL I have seen a few tombstone shaped cards out there and I thought again...you don't need a special diecutting machine. All you need is a large circle diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs. I used the largest of the "Silver Stackers" I placed just part of the diecut on top of my paper and ran it partially through the diecutting machine to give it the top curve. I did that in black and once again in grey, .25 inches smaller each time. This card was originally cut at 5 x 6 inches, and now it is bit smaller, 5 x 5.75

I added "Home Sweet Home", "Spooky Tree", "The Raven" from "Tomb Stone" "Bat Family" in black cardstock. The the smallest circle from "Silver Stackers" for the moon and 2 "Ornamental Gate" (partially cut off the bottom) in white cardstock. Lastly, I added a small sentiment and fussy cut it out and placed with pop dots on top of the "Spooky Tree" I love how the "Spooky Tree" and the "Home Sweet Home" small tree compliment each other.

A closer view, NO patterned paper...only dotted embossed grey cardstock.
Easy and fast to make!
