Amour!

Hello, ladies and gents!
Today, Im sharing a new card made with Graphic 45 papers...I have had these papers for a long long time...but it is time to use them up finally! These are papers from "A Ladies Diary" and I think I shall and this to my sister sometime soon. shhhh

I also used some old Bo Bunny ribbons and some 2 keys from Walmart for a $1 dollar. It comes in a little pack of 8 in the crafting department.  The beautiful butterflies are from Bo Bunny that I just bought recently. They are so delicate and I distressed them with Tim Holtz "tea ink"

A closer view and amazing paper from Graphic 45! Thanks!

Have a great day!

Chocolate Nutcrackers With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello again. It's Lisa back with a new Christmas card using several New July Release diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. Part of my fabulous and generous package from Cheery Lynn Designs I received a Toy Soldier. It is really very detailed but I wasn't  sure on how I wanted to incorporate it onto a Christmas card?

Well, I started this 21 day fix this week and of course CHOCOLATE is not part of the diet....So naturally when you don't have something you crave it right? That's how the Chocolate Nutcracker card became my inspiration or is it craving? LOL

This is a 5 x 5 inch card and I just used one piece of white cardstock and one piece of 2 sided patterned paper. The brown was on the back of the teal snowflake paper. I diecut 2 "Toy Soldiers" and placed white cardstock behind them. I diecut one "Snowflake Delight 1" in the center and added several pearls. I diecut the smallest "Believe" and added a pearl to the top of the "I"

I also added a few "Wreath Strip" pieces along the sides of the soldiers.
Here is my inspiration, "Snickers Nutcracker" that my children still love every Christmas!

Happy Travels!

Hi!
Just sharing a super quick post of a card that is pretty large,  6 x 8 inches. It is in fact, the largest card that I have made so far. I was asked by a colleague to make a large card for a supervisor who is leaving us...but she asked for it to be big so that many people can sign it.  So I was hoping to find out her favorite color but I didn't have much time. I do know that she loves bike riding and so I have seen this type of theme on pinterest... so here is my version of a goodbye with a cheerful theme.

The striped paper and swirl paper are from K & Company. I have always thought the swirl paper as water, however I think now it can be used for the wind too. Almost all the diecuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs. Clouds, Balloons, Little Bicycle, Victorian Fence and Grass. The Banner flag is from Spellbinders and I printed up the sentiment on the computer.

I thought about adding flowers to the basket, but then I like the way it looks without them :)
Strange for me right??? LOL
Thanks for taking a quick peek!
Hope she likes it!
Have a great day!

Hey There... Love Ya!

Hello again!
I'm back with another card made for this month's Verve August 2015 Inspiration Challenge. I'm also using a great sketch from Viva La Verve August Week #2. I didn't get the chance to make it during that particular week but I knew I wanted to make it with the heart. The heart stamp I bought so many years ago and I'm sorry I forgot who made it? :( I used papers, the frame and sentiment are all from Lawn Fawn. The pink hearts on the paper were perfect!

I used Lacey Circles and matching Standard Circles from Spellbinders and added some bling and ribbon on the bottom. The card is so girly and it reminds me of the shabby chic collection by Teresa Collins, Chic Bebe. The black and white patterned paper was bought at Joann super cheap.

Here is a closer view...The tiny black tag under the sentiment is called Pierced Stackers #4 and can be found at the Cheery Lynn Store. I just love them...hard to see but it has piercings....

Her is the great sketch! Thanks Maureen!

Here is the inspiration challenge photo....I was planning to use some gold...
however it got away...

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great evening!

Incy Wincy Spider

Happy Monday!
Well, I wish it was a happy morning....I was up most of the night with a stomach flu! Just horrible and I was on call...thank goodness the girls there didn't need me to come in! Hugs! However, I was not much for sleeping this morning thinking I could take a nap later...and I decided to check out this week's Mojo Monday # 412. I have been making a lot of Halloween cards and I thought I might as well keep going... Here is my interpretation of the sketch:

The vintage Halloween paper is from an old collection from Teresa Collins. I bought it a couple years ago at the yard sale at the local scrapbook store. The dripping goo is a Martha Stewart Punch. I stamped some spiders in black and fussy cut them out. The frame is a Recollections stamp, I think? and I just printed out the sentiment from my computer with two different fonts and two different colors.

The spider web diecut is from Cherry Lynn Designs. I have been asked in the past if I fussy cut them out...lol...That must be a funny joke? right? ! lol

Here is the sketch this week! Thanks Julee!

Have a great day!

If The Crown Fits

Hi everyone!
It's a early Sunday morning, and I'm up in my scraproom making and finished a new card using Graphic 45 papers. I have been buying some of the new Graphic 45 papers for making some cards and well this new "gilded lily collection" is soooo beautiful! It is very shabby chic and the colors are soft and very feminine. The big crown on top is from Spellbinders and it was given to my girlfriend (hi sweetie) and I at a local convention. We were standing in line to for a "make a take" but it was getting late, so we asked if we could just buy the crown that was part of the "make and take" gift and well, the super sweet lady behind the table just gave it to us. So sweet and generous!

I distressed all the edges of the papers and layered them. I then used "Leafy Flourish" from cheery lynn designs in green and cream cardstock. I fussy cut out some the the flowers from the Graphic 45 patterned paper and added pop dots behind them. I had 2 leftover peach flowers and some leftover pearls to place on the crown.

Not too bulky but lots and lots of layers!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful afternoon!
I'm on call later, so keep your fingers crossed for me that I don't have to work!
lol

Pearl Bow

Happy Saturday!
So this morning I basically lounged around all morning and wanted to make a card but the Mojo juices were not flowing. So I took a nap and when I woke up I thought I really want to make a new card today. So I went to my scraproom and used a new sketch from Viva La Verve August Week #3. I wanted to use some summer colors and these are sure right up that alley. I recently bought some new diecuts and stamps from Lawn fawn. I loved the fun swirls to place a sentiment inside. I used Verve "Happy Birthday" sentiment.

The card is pretty flat except under the sentiment. I have made several bows with my bow maker and I didn't have the right color pink, so I thought I wound use pearls for a bow inside. :) The doily is from Cheery Lynn Designs.

I added a few more pearls to the corners just because....

Here is the great sketch! Thanks for helping my get some Mojo back today!

Happy 23rd Birthday!

Hi sharing a quick card that I mailed out a few days ago to my youngest daughter, my baby.
It is her 23rd birthday today! Time does fly by! She loves indian items and well, I recently won these feathers from scrapbook.com. I thought I will use them for her card. So while I was on pinterest, I seen a beautiful card by Becca Feeken. So I basically lifted the whole card. I used different diecuts, bling, ribbon and sentiment, but the colors and design are the same. Thank you! The card took me about 20 minutes to make. :)

I added a few thinner pop dots between the layers, feathers and under the sentiment. The bling is from Zva. I have never bought this cream brownish color before, but I really do like it a lot to place on kraft cardstock.  The background diecut is from Cheery Lynn Designs and the sentiment is from Verve. I love the font!

I hope she likes her birthday card! I do miss her very much, hope to see her this upcoming fall.

Have a great day!

Best Witches With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! Its Lisa back this week with another new Halloween card using lots of Cheery Lynn Designs Diecuts. I have to tell you this latest release with fun intricate diecuts are DYING to be in your collection. LOL
So my card today was one of those cards that you don't have a plan or sketch for, you just go with wherever it wants to take you... Well, the only two things I knew for sure was I wanted to make another Halloween card and I wanted to use doilies inspired by this week's challenge

The doily is my old time favorite, "French Pastry" I diecut it twice in green. I printed Best Witches on white cardstock and diecut with "Silver Stacker Circles" then I used the "Horrible Cat" and "Witch Hat" on top of the circles with pop dots. In the two corners I diecut "Spider Nest" and made 3 spiders.

I diecut one of the smaller "Pierced Stacker #4" and stamped "Boo to You" in white and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I used a white signo pen for the outline. Normally I don't add any diecuts in the inside of the card but I just had to add the "Victorian Picket Fence" in black to complete this card.

ABC-123 With The Shabby Tea Room # 258

Hi Shabby Gals!
Welcome back to another fun challenge with The Shabby Tea Room
This week it is ABC-123 #258. The photo inspired below is all about school. The wonderful prize this week is sponsor by The Paper Temptress. The papers are wonderful and I used 3 for my project today!
My children are all adults  now but I know that the kids around here are already back to school. They start earlier here in AZ but they also get out of school in May. :)

The sunflowers were made with Cheery Lynn Designs diecut and "Lemondrop" paper. I added Gala Glitz in the centers for some extra bling. I also used some leftover pieces of black bling swirls for a shabby look . A real pencil was cut to fit the center of the card and I stamped a ruler from Donna Salazar on the "Sour Apple" paper. The Pierced Stacker #4 is also from Cheery Lynn Designs and I stamped a sentiment from Verve in white and embossed it in white embossing powder. The outline is a white signo pen. The light green patterned paper is from Prima. It was a great match to the "Sour Apple" paper. I finished it off with some black and white ribbon.

A closer view. All the papers are really smooth and silky. I really Loved the "Onyx" black!

The fabulous photo!

Tee Time

Hi everyone!
Sharing today a new card made for a guy! I rarely make these kind of cards..and I don't know why? Some guys DO like cards...Here I'm using some old leftovers from Graphic 45, A proper gentlemen. I'm not a golfer but so many guys are golfers and this paper is perfect for them. I used a stopwatch from Cheery Lynn Designs and then I just printed out the title on a small circle with Radio flyer font from free fonts.com

The cream cardstock I distressed a bit with inks. and well I had the perfect matching ribbon so I added it....the horse made me think of ribbons..lol

Lots of layering but easy to mail....just a few pop dots under the clock.and title.

Thanks for stopping by....
Have a Tee-rific day!

Merry Christmas With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs
I know it is still summer, but it is never too early to start of Christmas cards. :)
Today, I made a shaker card using Silver Stacker Circles. The inside kraft cardstock was stamped with a sentiment and I added Pine Branches on the inside circle, on the top of the circle with pearls and behind the reindeer. The Reindeer is beautiful and part of the July new release. I added black cardstock behind the eye and colored the hoofs, belt and nose with a black copic. Then I added tiny pearls on the belt and antlers. White cardstock was used behind the ears and the beautiful scrolls of the reindeer.

The inside border frame is Historic Barcelona Square. I placed green cardstock underneath so you can see the details better.

For the inside of the shaker, I used tinsel glitter. It is super fine and works really great for the snow.

Scaredy Cat!

Hi Happy Sunday!
So lately I have been on this Halloween roll....guess I'm getting warmed up for the holidays. I have made about 5 cards recently and needed some new inspiration. So while browsing on pinterest, I ran across this mummy card with brick background. I can't get it out of my head! So I cased it and made my own version using lots of Cheery Lynn Diecuts and Lawn Fawn Hillside borders. Here is the original. Thank you!

For my brick background I used a brick template and gesso. Then I let it dry and added some gelato in black. It was my first time using gelato and I thought it was pretty cool to use. The spiders, spiderweb and horrible cat can be found on the Cheery Lynn Designs store. It is part of the July new release. The Paris sign 1 is also from Cheery Lynn and I just added a longer piece of black cardstock for the stand.

I placed tiny pop dots behind the spiders and the scaredy cat.

Hope you enjoyed....thanks for stopping by!

Fang-tastic Night

Happy Saturday!
Today, I'm sharing another new card made for the upcoming Halloween season! I cant seem to stop making them now...I'm  getting warmed up for the Holidays!
So the last few Halloween cards were cute and fun...so I wanted to make something more Gothic and scary and this is the ending result...whatcha think?

The papers are from Martha Stewart from years ago...The diecut gravestone, bats and spiderweb are part of the new release at Cheery Lynn Designs. The coffin was cut at 5 inches on my cricut using Happy Hauntings and I cut it in 3 pieces and chalked the edges. I then cut another 5 inch coffin and glued the pieces down to form a solid piece. Punching tiny holes on the top and bottom for the brads and stamping blots from Prima on the coffin in red ink to represent blood.

I printed up the sentiment on my computer using two different fonts and added some flowers to the sides of the coffin and gravestone. I also used Martha Stewart dripping punch for blood drippings and added a black cross on top of the coffin. SPOOKY!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a Fang-tastic day!

Sunshiny Day

Hi everyone, yesterday I had the day off so I was in my scraproom creating some new cards. This first one is inspired by this week's Mojo Monday #209. I wanted to use this stamp from Verve. So I knew I need bright "sunshine" papers.

I kept the sketch for the most part, changing the star for the flowers and I had to add a sunflower in the top corner for a sun. :)

Pretty fast to make...like 15 minutes...LOVE that when it happens. But as you can see I distressed the paper edges and used diecuts and premade flowers. So that does help a lot. All the diecuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Here is the great sketch from Julee! Thx girl!

Have a sunshiny day!
