Beach Birthday Wishes

Hi, I can't believe the weekend is almost over...where did it go? Today, I wanted to share a card that I made this morning. I was feeling the beach today and wanted to use those colors. I used a Mojo Monday sketch that I printed up last week but I didn't get to make something in time for the uplink. However, I still love the design and it worked out perfect for my beach water theme.

I really love using Kraft cardstock and lately I have been using teal quite a bit. I guess I'm ready for a vacation! I originally started off making a manly card because of the nautical stamps from Verve, but then I thought I love nautical too. So I added some teal flowers from the dollar section at Michael's. The brown flowers are from a goodie bag that I bought at the scrapbooking yard sale.

The Kraft cardstock in the background I crimped and distressed all my papers with Distrezz-It-All. I never knew how much I would love that little machine until recently. There are sailboat diecuts from Impression Obsession, The Fishtail Banners are from Cheery Lynn Designs, and the Big Splash Border are from Memory Box.

Here is the beautiful sketch!

Have a great Sunday!

So Happy For You! Mojo Monday #400

Hi, Thank Goodness It's Friday!
I'm starting a 3 day weekend...that I need so much! Crazy and stressful week at work. Sigh
So this morning, I finally was able to make a card for Mojo Monday #400. I have been thinking about this card all week and I knew I wanted to make a rainbow. I was inspired earlier by Wanda Cullen and her beautiful card of the sunshine. Thank you soooo much! I stamped and embossed "So Happy For You" in black.  It is part of the "Treasured Words" from Verve. This was a set that I won a long time ago playing Mojo Monday. :) Yay!

I rarely make clean and simple cards, but I'm really "happy" how this card turned out. It reminds me that you can make a simple card and it still will be cherished by the recipient. I did add a few pearls on the circle and the balloon. I couldn't help myself....lol

The clouds and hot air balloon are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the circle on the bottom is from Spellbinders. I bought it just recently at Michael's for $2.50 clearance...what an amazing deal!

So here is the sketch made a long time ago by Julee Tilman. Thank you!
I have been making Mojo Monday cards for quite some time now. I love so many of them and it really helps to get my creative juices going.

I have to say I admire all the talented ladies that get to create early with the sketches and your artwork is inspiring week after week. I would LOVE to be part of such an admired design team. It would be such an honor. Keeping my fingers crossed! x

Good Friends and Wine

Hello,
Today I'm sharing with you a new card for a girlfriend of mine. Last week, we were able to get off work a little early and decided to have lunch and a glass of wine. It was really nice to have girl time.  We have normal girl chats and well, it is always cheaper than therapy! lol
I have seen so many of these cafe shop cards and well today I had to give it a try.

The awning below is really easy to make. I used a corner punch. That way you can make your awning any size you want on any size card. I used 2 different diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. Clouds & Rain and Scandinavian Tag 1

All the stamps are old wine stamps...I believe they fiskars. The green paper was embossed and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the top edge. Some pearls and ribbon and this card is ready to be sent out! Actually, I plan on giving it to her in person. :)

Thanks again for stopping by!
Have a great day!

You Sparkle So Much With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone!
Lisa back today. sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. It was inspired by this week's "Red, White, & Blue" challenge. The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday of the year! So I had to use all the fun diecuts and embossed plate I could get my hands on for this one card! :)
The card is 5x6 inches. I usually dont make this card on the side but I new that I had to show off the beautiful Patriot Swag on the perfect Victorian Picket Fence.

I used two pieces of Curved Border Set to make the border on top. For the sentiment, I used three different fonts and printed it on cardstock. Then I diecut it with Pierced Stacker #4 and added 100 Stars of the sides. Party Balloons in the two smallest sizes in different patterned paper are in the background and I added embroidery floss for the strings on the balloons. Last but not least, I diecut the Chrysanthemum Strip, added a bit of shine with a jelly roll pen and final touch up with cream pearls in the centers to represent fireworks.

The inside for writing your personal message I used the USA/Canada Embossing Plate.
It was the perfect size for my card!

Hi Everyone, Its Monday!
I have made a couple cards recently and was not able to to upload until today. I'm super excited to share this new shaker card. I'm sending it out soon. It was inspired by this week's Cardabilities #124. There is a circle in the background...lol But I wanted to use these diecuts from Our Daily Bread.
LOVE THEM!

The pink flowers are from Michael's in the dollar section. They have a little bit of glitter and pearls in the center. I also added little pearls on the edge of the heart and in the top right hand corner. The leaves, doily in the background, the banner with sentiment,  the pink strip in the background are all diecuts from cheery lynn designs. I also used my memory box diecut in the bottom left hand corner. If you want more details just comment below and I will happy to share. :0)

A little closer view....

You can see the foam between the layers... I might make a tutorial soon on this shaker card?

If Daughters Were Flowers With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone!
It's Lisa back this Wednesday sharing a step card made for Cheery Lynn Designs
I was thinking about the challenge this week "anything goes" and I all of the sudden became overwhelmed with so many ideas! Finally, I thought about the Victorian Picket Fence and Garden Gate. I could see it on the front of a step card, but what colors? I was digging and found this fun bright pink papers and it really worked for the look I was hoping to achieve. As I was finishing the card,  I wanted to offset the yellow flowers on the other side, so I used Bird Bath and all the tiny birds to go with it. Love the tiny birds. On the bottom, I used the Grass Border in lime green.

The Mirror Mirror Doily Frame has been on my wish list for a long time. I was so excited to bring it out for this fun spring/summer card. The Clouds and Rain are one of those diecuts that is a must have in your stash...Ive been using it quite a bit. :) The Daisy Flowers and Flourish Leaves were easy to put together and you will find it easy too.  I added little white pearls in the centers of the flowers for a finished flower. PS...I'm addicted to pearls too... :)

The sentiment was printed out on my computer and I used the inside diecut of the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame and inked the edges in pink. Here you can see the really amazing details of all the beautiful diecuts. Gosh, I always remind myself on how lucky I am to be part of this amazing team!

Kitty Heaven

Hi! So glad it is the weekend again! Yay!
Today, I'm sharing a new card that I made for a co-worker who was sadden to place her beloved kitty to rest this week. I felt so sad for her, but I do understand losing a pet myself recently. I bought this kitty stamp from Our Daily Bread and it is puuurrrrfect!

I used Cheery Lynn Designs clouds & grass and the opulent oval is from spellbinders. I wanted to add some pearls around the edge of the frame. The butterflies are from Heartfelt Creations stamps and matching diecuts. I think it is most used stamp set. LOVE

I only colored the flowers and stems with copics...someday still hoping to be able to use them the way they are meant to be...
The brown flowers are perfect too. I don't know who makes them...part of my stash from the scrapbooking yard sale.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you have a PUURRfect day!

Life's Storms With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, It's Lisa here this week sharing a manly card inspired by this week's challenge with Cheery Lynn Designs. I really dont make many man cards...but this week's challenge was a great inspiration to make some manly cards that I could really use in my stash!
I have been thinking about a theme for quite some time... I LOVE nautical cards....Perfect!

The Mayflower is amazing! As well as the Pierced Banner and the Ship's Compass. I distressed the compass in blue distressed ink on the edges and in the center.  I also added some copper brads on all the corners and one in the center of the compass. The copper colored brads match the sentiment perfectly.

I also wanted to add a bit of yarn and my son made me this cute little sailor knot. (Thank you Scotty)  The incredible ship and Compass really makes this card! I also wanted to add a bit more of the yarn throughout the card too. Behind the ship you can see a little bit of burlap.

Hello, everyone! Its Tuesday and it is weird for me to have this day off from the week? Hey, its col, hen I can scrap all day! Today, Im sharing a card that I made over the weekend, but didn't get a chance to upload it until today. The sketch is from Viva La Verve May Week #3. I kept it very basic because i wanted to focus on the sentiment and the butterfly. Lately, I have several friends and colleagues who have losing loved ones. So I love the sentiment thinking of all of them and also my recent lose of my beloved Louie.

I chalked and distressed the edges and used all scrap paper. I also added little bit of pearls on the edges and in the center. I used Cheery Lynn Diecut and a Spellbinder diecut.
