This was my very First Tri-Folded Card...OMGosh it was so easy and I thought I was going to pull my hair out but don't be scared like me! This card was made for my dear sister-in-law and brother-in-law who have had a bad year with surgeries and illnesses. So I wanted to make something special for them. The photos are ok...they are much better in real life. I wanted to make a can top and I had even considered using a real can lid, but I didnt have an opener that cuts the edge smooth. I sure wouldn't want them to cut their fingers! So I used 4 circles in multiple sizes to make the can lid and distressed each one. Then I layered them on top of each other. The cute little chicken I found on-line clip art and just added red, orange, white and black stickles for the colors over yellow. I added some hearts for a little love and just hung them in two spots. I love my cricut and all the circles and hearts were made with this amazing machine...gotta love it! For the title, I just played around with different fonts to find something that I liked...hope you try your first Tri-folded card...you will happy that you did!
Front view closed...it lays pretty flat and fit nicely in a standard card envelope...you only need extra postage...:( Guess its ok since you cant find a card like this cheap? And with love!I also wanted the back to be complete since you can stand it up for display so I put all my journaling on white papers and printed them up....but you can write right on the back if you like. I also added more of the same papers to match the front and a couple more hearts for the date and my design name...
Thanks for stopping by!

This is so cute. The can lids are perfect. Love the "chicken soup" sentiment!
What a fantastic project! Much more that just a card, very interactive. The can tops came out great. The hanging hearts a such a sweet touch, and finishing off the back is perfect!
