The Shabby Tea Room DT Call : It's Your Day

Hi,
I know it is late in the day, but I decided that I would enter this card into The Shabby Tea Room Design Team Call. I have been thinking about it for the past 2 weeks....I couldn't remember if I had a teapot somewhere? Well after finally reading that I was close to the end of the calling, I looked through all my cricut cartridges and found ONE teapot! Whew! This card took me about an hour to make...sometimes I think better under pressure? lol

I crimped the teapot and chalked the edges with brown ink. Two white flowers and three pink roses were placed on top with three pieces of baby breath diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs. The doily diecut in the background is also from Cheery Lynn Designs. I distressed the two layers of pink papers with my Distrezz It All. Love that machine!

I added pink roses sheer ribbon and white lace on the top and bottom of the card. The tea cup was cut with my cricut and I chalked the edges and the top for tea. The I added a bit of liquid applique to the edge for a little froth.  I used a tiny stamp with the same brown chalk. Lastly, I was thinking about the cookies and cakes....then I remembered that I recently bought some Melissa Francis Resin pieces... Perfect!

The beautiful shabby teapot photo inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and wish me luck!

This Hope...

Hello everybody!
I'm so excited for it to be the weekend again! Yay!
I'm also excited that I only have one more week until my vacation begins...
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card for Viva La Verve June Week #4. As soon as I seen the sketch I knew I wanted to use the nautical stamps and diecuts from Verve for the circles in the background. The papers are from Fancy Pants "Making Waves" I recently bought them from scrapbook.com. It really is a fun summer paper collection.

I added some silver stickers in the corners and on the wheels. I also added some blue yarn and a little ribbon with yarn.

Between the layers are pop dots. The stamp set must be one of favorites this year because the possibilities are endless!

Here is the great sketch! Thank you Amber!

Have a wonderful day!

You Are Beautiful With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its another Wednesday with Lisa. Today, I'm sharing with you a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. This week challenge is "anything goes" so I thought I would try to make a scenery in the summer. I used a Window, Ivy, Little Flowers, Butterflies, Fence, Grass, Clouds and A Little Bicycle. Whew!
I haven't made a scenery card before, but I have seen many of them. Giving it a try myself, I can really appreciate all the love that goes into each tiny piece.

There are 7 sets of red flowers diecut from the "Baby's Breath Flower Kit" I added liquid pearls in the center of the flowers. There are 4 "Ivy Flourishes" 2 layered on each of the top corners. The "Victorian Picket Fence' was cut to fit and 2 layers of "Grass Border" on top. They were also cut to fit the 5 x 6 card. The "Window A" was diecut in white and then glued to Kraft Cardstock. I then cut the window pieces out in a red patterned paper and then in the red cardstock for the windows. The red cardstock was crimped to represent window curtains. I then layered the top of the window with "Dutch Daisy Set" and finished it with a bit of black cardstock cut thin with scalloped scissors.

The "Little Pink Bicycle" was cut 3 times in red, black and Kraft and layered on top of each other. I added 2 little clouds from "Clouds and Rain" and printed up the title from my computer. The tiniest butterfly from " Mini Dimensional Butterflies" was diecut in black cardstock, I added 5 of them to finish this summer card.

Hi

Hi!
Happy Father's Day! Today, I'm sharing with you a new card with a sketch from Cardabilities #125. When I seen the Flag stripes, I was thinking nautical theme. My father passed away several years ago, but he loved the beach just as I do. So that is how the flowers were Incorporated with the banner from Our Daily Bread.

I used 3 diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. The Ship's Anchor, Lighthouses and Pierced Banner. The papers I bought from Michael's called Seaside Yacht DCWV. I also placed one of my favorite diecuts from Memory Box Rue Le Flourish under the flowers. The flowers are in the dollar bins at Michael's too.

No distressing on this card, just straight edges for a clean look. I did add thin pop dots under the anchor.

Here is the sketch! Thank you Karen.

Hope everyone has a nice day today.
Be sure to stop by this week for more cards....

Happy Birthday

Hello again!
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card made for Viva La Verve June Week #3. I wasn't sure what I was going to do at first, but I knew I wanted to use some fun colors. These papers are from My Mind's Eye "Here is Happy".

I added pop dots between the layers for a 3D look. Can you believe no flowers or bling? Guess I didn't need it because the papers are so festive! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the drippings.

The "happy Birthday" diecut is really one whole die. However, I cut it to fit on the Cheery Lynn Fishtail Banners. The cupcake was cut on my cricut and I used liquid applique to give it a realistic look and it's hard to See but I placed crystal lacquer on the cherry.

Here is the sketch this week. Lots of cards can be made with this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Donut Worry Be Happy

Hi,
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I'm sharing a new card that I made a few days ago inspired by this week's Mojo Monday #402.
Now who doesn't love a donut? I was thinking about circle objects when I ran across a donut card. Then I could see 3 of them, strawberry, vanilla and of course CHOCOLATE! Yum

I made all the donuts with my cricut: 2 each in 2 colors, 4 inches, 3 inches and 2 inches. Then I chalked the edges and fussy cut the icing in a random pattern. Lastly, I added some stickles.

The font sentiment was printed on my computer and the "chocolate" diecut is from Verve Stamps.
The scalloped white cardstock, I used a Cheery Lynn Diecut and punched little holes on the edges. There are also 2 ribbons in the background.

Here is the sketch this week!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great Saturday!

A side view. All the flowers are part of the dollar section at Michael's.
The heart diecut is from Our Daily Bread and the banners and leaves are from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Steampunk Birthday With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa here this week sharing with you a fun steampunk card using several diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. I usually make a card only once. However, I LOVE how this one turned out that I'm going to have to make another for my own stash. :)

I added a few pop dots under some of the Gears, Hot Air Balloons W/Angel Wings, and Hearts & Gears. The Steampunk Corners are very delicate and are perfect for every steampunk project. The Clock W/Angel Wing was originally going to be in the center, then somehow I accidentally tore one side.. :( But I'm kind of glad it is offset now, funny how a boo-boo can work out in the end :) I stamped some tiny steampunk butterflies, a ruler and embossed Happy Birthday, then fussy cut them all out.

Shabby Chic Get Well Soon

Hi everyone!
I hope your weekend has been going wonderful!
I have been able to make some new cards this weekend. This card came up unexpectedly for someone close in our family. She likes pink and had to have surgery recently. So this is what I came up with to give to her. I have made a tissue box card in the past, so that was my inspiration again today.

The flowers are part of the dollar section at Michael's and I really love them a lot. So I think I may have to go back to see if they have more and buy them up. The resin bunny is part of the shabby chic collection by Prima.

I made a pink double bow and added pearls to the top. The center opening of the tissue box has real tissue paper and there are pearls all around the opening too. There are also pearl swirls and a few in 2 of the corners.

The sentiment is from Verve. I love the font.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

For You

Hi everybody!
It's Friday again, and another week of work has passed by...that means it is one more week closer to my favorite month of July! Vacations and lots of family activities coming soon!
So today, I was in the mood for a shabby chic card and I found these beautiful papers from DCWV at my local Michael's store a couple of week's ago. I used a great sketch from Viva La Verve June Week #2. I changed the smaller rectangle to a circle because in the paper stack it was a matching piece that I could uses for my sentiment. I bought the "for you" a while back for a dollar. :)

I used my Distrezz-It-All for all the papers. The doily is a Cheery Lynn Designs diecut called "french pastry" It is one of my favorites. The flowers are store bought except the pink tiny rose which is also a Cheery Lynn Designs diecut called "miniature rose" I actually made it for another project a while ago and then didn't use it. Glad I kept it because it was the right shade of pink.

There are green leaves that are also Cheery Lynn Designs called "olive branch"
Last but not least, I added little pearls in white on the corners and near the sentiment.
Almost forgot?  my triple bow in cream....

Here is my inspiration and yet another fabulous sketch!
Thank you!

Have a wonderful day and great weekend!

Heartfelt Thanks With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, It's Lisa back this week sharing a new card with Cheery Lynn Designs.
This week challenge "Creative Corners" is great because I already knew the corner diecut I wanted to use today. It is from the April release called Scandinavian Tag #1. I really love this diecut and you will see it on several of my card since its release. I also used the Paris Sign # 1 for my sentiment in the top left corner. I also added a few pearls to the top.

A side view I layered the Lattice Heart & Vines three times, grey, teal and then yellow cardstock on top. I fussy cut out the yellow heart and cut off a few of the vines in the left hand corner so it didn't cover up my sentiment. In between the lattice is liquid pearls in white. The Pierced Stackers #2 is the largest size and I traced the edge in grey and fussy cut it out for the layering. Between the patterned paper and the teal embossed paper is the Siena Double Edge Border.

A closer view of the tiny details.
I used the Rose Leaf Strip in Grey cardstock with one Small Gardenia and a Miniature Rose
in yellow to compete this 5 x 6 Heartfelt Thank You card!

Friends

Hi Happy Mojo Monday!
Today, I had a stressful morning to the point my BP was really high. So fortunately, I was able to go home earlier than I thought...I then ate lunch and took a nap. I feel a lot better now. I thought I would try to make today the Mojo Monday #401 sketch, since I printed it up last night. :)

I was thinking about my girlfriend who lives in the Midwest and she mention that it was hailing there??? It is June right? Oh My....So she mentioned that she wants to move to AZ and I sure wish she did! She is my bestie since High School and even though we don't chat much it is only a matter of one phone call and we caught up real quickly.

So as I was thinking of her I came across this stamp that I bought on clearance recently. It sure says it all for me.

The wonderful sketch once again by Julee Tilman! Thank you!

Have a great day!
Be sure to stop by soon!

Thank You Berry Berry Much!

Hello again!
It's still Sunday!
I can't believe I was able to get another card done already this morning?
I guess my Mojo is with me today! :)
Here is a new card that was inspired by this week's
Viva La Verve June 2015 Week #1 sketch by Julee Tilman.
I really didn't know what I was going to do for the half circle on the side? However, as I was going through my old papers and organizing them a bit I came across this fun strawberry and lime summer paper from K & Company. All of a sudden I could see the half circle as a big lime...Ta da!

I can remember a long time ago I believe it was my second card I ever made and it was a Thank You card with strawberries. Here is a new version several years later...crazy how your creations and style change over the years.

I fussy cut several of the strawberries and placed pop dots behind them. I also fussy cut a few limes. The stickers I bought I long time ago...trying to use some stash....
The fonts were printed up on the computer.
The Fishtail Banners are from Cheery Lynn Designs. Love them!

You can see it is pretty flat and will be easy to mail.
For the white lines, I used liquid applique and then heated it up with a embossing heating tool.

Here is the great sketch!
Thank you!

Have a great Sunday!
Hugs, Lisa
