Cricut 360 Challenge # 13 - Welcome Baby

Hi
Welcome back to Cricut 360's challenge going on this next 2 weeks! This week's inspiration is making a baby card.....It happened to fall in a great time for me because my dear friend is having a baby in a couple of months. I made a card for her recently since she is having a girl....and then I came up with this card that i thinks screams baby....boy or girl :)
It is mint green with creams, and off whites.
I used my cricut, George Basic Shapes and Sweet Treats for the center and the hearts. The hearts are cardboard and distressed with some light brown chalk. I also embossed with swiss dots....one of my favs....I used lots of ribbon, some cloths pins and the stamp is sweet pea. I love that stamp....such a cute baby!
I added some fun roses and vintage pearls.
Hope you enjoyed my card too! So dont forget to stop by and play with us over at Cricut 360! Always great prizes to give away!

I also decided to enter this in the Celebrate the Occasion: Challenge #32-ribbon.....there are 4 different ribbons on this one card....

"Baby Girl" Card

Good Afternoon,
Last night, I was thinking of a card to make for my girlfriend at work who just told me about her having a baby girl! OMGosh...she totally hid it for like almost 7 months! So NOT fair....i couldnt even tell till now! So another girlfriend and I want to have a baby shower for her...she is very private and only wants a few close people there...so I wasn't sure if I should make these cards for baby shower invitations or just give this one to her with a gift? The saying in the fron can go both ways I think? My daughter and I are tickled pink for her!
So here is how I made this 6x6 card in about an hour....I first cut a 12x12 in half to make the 6x6 card. Then I cut a 5 1/2 square in pink cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4 square in white and embossed it with swiss dots. I used some old Martha Stewart papers in baby pink cut 2 1/2 inches wide x 5 1/4 for the bottom. I have some super small doilies and I used one under the bottom of flowers. Using my cricut and spellbinders I cut the scalloped ovals and all the leaves. The leaves I used watermark for the dots. The flowers are prima and I added pink satin ribbon and pearls throughout....
Here is the side angle...
Here is a close up of the wording on the front of the card....I used two different fonts for this card to make it pop a bit.

"Happy hOWLoween" Card

Hi
So I'm still on this Halloween card kick lately and well I wanted to use kraft cardstock for this card. I originally wanted to make a card that was more vintage, but then it took a turn to steampunk...this card is sized at 6x6. My son's bought me these stickers for my birthday this past July and so I was able to use it for my card. I also have had the chipboard and grungeboard for soooooo long now and I used a few more pieces. I used stickles silver glitter to give it bling.
The gold mesh is ribbon that i bought last Christmas and was planning on using it for holiday lo's...it came in handy for today's card because the owl is gold too! I used my cricut "Happy Hauntings" for the frame in black and my cuttlebug for a bit embossing. I also had some metal stickers and a few gems to give this card a complete look.
The card is really different than what I normally make.....hope you enjoy!
So here is a side angle to see the real gold of the sticker....so pretty IRL...

"Spells" Card

Hi
Im back with a new card that I made today. Ive been on such a Halloween Roll lately, I cant seem to stop making them...lol...plus there are so many cool things for Halloween. This is a 5x7 standard white card layered with distressed Glitz paper and cardstock. I used my cuttlebug for the embossed white paper and my cricut for the cool waved papers. The stamp is by inkadinkado...its a new stamp for this halloween season....I really loved it because it is spooky looking! So I decided to leave the colors all black and white. I added the felt spider web, 2 different laces, black roses, polka dot ribbon and white pearls. The fence punch in the background is from Martha Stewart's Halloween collection last year...Im sure you can still find it around though. I made the spider with my cricut "Happy Hauntings" and place a pearl for the body..i just love that look on the spider....
Here is an angle of the card that I took BEFORE I added the spider and cobweb....I think it looks a bit spookier with the added elements.... :)

Hope you enjoyed!

"Spooky" Card

Good Morning,
Last night, I made this Halloween Card using my Cricut "Happy Hauntings" Cartridge. I just love the fonts and words on it. I wasnt sure on which ribbons I wanted to use so I used 4 of them in total. I was going for a vintage feel and some fun elements too! I have had all of these items for some time now and the chipboard in the background seemed to work out great for the look I wanted to have. I added orange stickles to the font to make it glittery and some vintage pearls for the spider body. The background checkered paper is from Basic Grey "Oh Baby Boy" lol....it was a perfect match for the orange....funny where you find papers from one line and use it for something completely different...I would have never thought Halloween??
The black buttons I found at Michaels for $1.00....so many left too! Great finds and bargains are my favorite thing to do...I also added spider web to give this card a spooky look...
Here is a side angle...with all my favorite pop dots....
Even a closer view of the spooky title and glitter.....

Cricut 360 Challenge # 11 For a Hero Commemorating 9/11

Good Morning,
Today I'm sharing with you a card made for this week's challenge at Cricut 360. This week's theme is for a hero, commemorating 9/11. So when I was thinking of the design for this card, I had so many parts of 9/11/01 tragedy in my head...I cant believe it will be ten years now. I'm sure to those who lost loved ones it still seems like yesterday. :(
So since I wanted to add so many elements onto a card...so here is what I decided to add: the city, the twin towers lighting in blue, the firemen and policemen who are just some of the heroes, clouds, hearts with an American theme, roses in front of the buildings, and yellow ribbons. I sure didn't think i would be able to get this all on one formal card, which is how the side step card came into place. It is a 5 1/2 x 10 1/2 card and really easy to make...there are many tutorials out there on U Tube. I used many cricut cartridges for this card...here is the list: Everyday Paper Dolls, George Basic Shapes, Serenade, Jasmine, Plantin Schoolbook and Cuttlebug embossing plate Script Texture. This card came out to be exactly what I wanted to say this 10th anniversary for our 9/11 heroes....thank you to all our heroes to this date!
God Bless all of you!
Here is a slight angle of the side step card and on the back cloud it says
"10th Year Anniversary NYC"
I hope you were not upset by this card, but to "Remember" and "Never Forget" what made all of us come together as a nation.
So hope you join us over at Cricut 360 this week for more inspiration from our DT and this week's FABULOUS PRIZE! It is from My Pink Stamper....very cool and perfect for this week's theme!
See you there!

"Creepy" Card

Hi everyone,
Today I made a card inspired from my sister's favorite things! She loves purples and bling and Halloween! This card is a bit vintage looking with purple and creams. I have had these bats for a really long time, they have purple bling on them and so I just added spiders, stamping and my old Martha Stewart Papers to make this Halloween Card. I also have had these purple and black roses forever and it was a perfect match to make this super fun card. I used my cricut, happy hauntings for the "creepy" word as well as the spiders with more bling!

Here is a pop up view too!

Cricut 360 Challenge #10

Hello everyone,
Today I'm sharing with you a new card that I made for the Cricut 360 Challenge #10...Grandparents Day. I have always know about the day, but never quite sure which day? Well, now I know this year...it is September 11, 2011. My children have only one grandparent alive...its very sad, but I'm so glad to have my beloved mother! My mother LOVES CATS...i mean REALLY LOVES CATS! So I wanted to make a card for her with a cat on it....I recently won this Nifty Fifties cricut cartridge on ebay for 18.50!...and I'm so excited to use it for the first time! It has the coolest cat on it....not to mention other amazing old school items...but it was the perfect cat for my mother. She also LOVES pink and so the theme is a vintage cat, damask background, ribbon and pearls. I also used my favorite cricut cartridge...George Basic Shapes for the hearts and for the pink background behind the cat, I used my cuttlebug D'vine swirls. Of course there are 3D pop dots...they are so addicting! lol
Here is the front view of my card for my dear beloved mother:

Here you can see the pop dots:
A close up of this cute cat...I used my Signo white pen for the dots on the cat...i just love that pen on black...its so purr-fect!
Hope you were inspired by my card this week and come on over to Cricut 360 to play with us. Lots of inspiration by the rest of our DT! Here is also this week's PRIZE!

See you there!
