"Be My Cupid" Scrap That! Tutorial

Hello again!
I'm here today to share with you on how I made my "Be My Cupid" card.
I mentioned it earlier that I would share with you on Scrap That!
So as promised...I'm sharing the full tutorial.
As you will see...it sure is very easy to make with the February Kit from Scrap that!
So here below is the card that you will be making today.

This is a side view of the card...as you can see it really has some dimension to it.
It is also lovely for the upcoming Valentine in your life  :)

So lets get started!
First take a piece of white cardstock.
I usually use a heavier cardstock like Bazzill or DCWV
because of the weight of the embellishments.
I did use Bazzill White Smooth Cardstock for this card.

Next cut the cardstock at 5 inches and then fold it in half so the card base is 5 x 6 inches.

Use the beautiful square doily that comes with the main kit and cut the edges off.
You will only use 2 sides...so you will be able to save the other pieces for another project or make a duplicate card if you want to send one to someone else.
Love is in the Air... :)

Take 2 pieces of the doily and place them on opposite sides of the card as shown here.

Diecut a piece of pink cardstock.
I used Decorative Labels Eight...but you can use whatever you have on hand or make a rectangle.
I then placed the white netting on top of the pink cardstock.

Take the white felt hearts that are in the main kit, one large and one smaller than that.
Using permanent glue....hold down the pink      while you go around the heart.
Let it dry for a little bit.

Place the small roses form the main kit and add the cherub from the add on kit in the center.
Place them on the smaller of the 2 felt hearts.

When it is dry, layer the 2 pieces together.

Add the lovely flowers and make a bow with the ribbon from the main kit.
I used Microsoft Word for Mac for the title and diecut it with Spellbinders
Mixd Media Elements.
Last but not least, add some pearl swirls and this card is complete!

I hope you were inspired to make your own Valentine Card too.
It is so easy and fast...yet you loved ones will
think you worked on it for hours...
Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
xoxo

Red Valentine

Hi, it has been a while since I last made something for myself....
So today I wanted to make a card and this card is a lift from Andrea Ewen's
BEAUTIFUL Valentine's Day Card.
The sketch is from Mojo Monday last month and I used it once already, you can see it here
You can also see Andrea's beautiful original card here
I lifted this card because I loved it sooo much but also for this month's lift challenge over at sb.com.

I used some older Martha Stewart Valentine papers and also her sentiment. It comes all in one long piece, but I just stamped it 3 times so it would fit in the circle.
The cute hearts are from Stamps By Judith and I stamped in the inside with more MS stamps.

I didnt have any matching roses soooo once again I just made them out of matching papers using my favorite diecut..."bitty blossoms"...you can always count on it to be perfect in colors.
I only had the 2 pieces of papers that matched, so I used kraft in the background and just added some punches on the edges on the top and the bottom.
Lots of stickles going on too. I used black diamond and red pearls.

In the center I used some cream lace and placed it on top of black cardstock so you could see a little bit of the black in the background.
No ribbon here but that cute bow that was a great look.
Thanks sweetie!

Thanks for stopping by....
Tomorrow a new week....Monday back to work....

Heartfelt Wednesday's *You Sing To My Soul*

It's another Heartfelt Wednesday!
Are you ready for some "Love" this month?
I sure have been loving to make lots of hearts on my cards and here is one more using
lots of hearts and beautiful stamps from Heartfelt Creations
I really love swirls and this little card has plenty of them.
The beautiful bird is already colored with the "countryside evening papers
He is just singing to my soul...

Here is a side view of all the pop dots I used behind the hearts and the title.
Im addicted to them....lol
All the stamping is from "petite floral swirls"
I really "love" swirls!

I had to add some bling to finish off this really flowery card. :)

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop by
Heartfelt Creations Blog for more beautiful projects
and maybe even a sneak peek on the
New Collection coming soon!

Purdy....Please! *Donna Salazar*

Hi, Its Lisa back with a New card made with Donna's beautiful NEW papers!
They are part of her wonderful new line called
"Fun & Funky"
The best part of this whole paper line is the diversity of the patterns...
What I mean is there are elegant papers and yet lots of fun papers too...all in one pack!
I choose the elegant papers to make this card.
The scrolls are sooo beautiful don't ya think?

Here is a closer view....
I made 3 "bitty blossoms" in purple and added "fairy dust glitter"
The stamp "Purdy" makes me think of 3 things....
1. Purdy Birdie
2. Purdy (as in beautiful)
3. Purdy Please!
So I decided to use all 3 for this elegant card. :)
Your see the Birdie?
You see the Purdy?

Now you see the Please!
I kept the inside basic so you can add your own words and signature.
I also used part of the same paper...
Nice to not have to use more right?
Loving it!

I "Please" hope you were inspired too!
xoxo

Featured Guest Design Team *Scrap That*

Hi!
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my newest layouts and cards made for "Scrap That!"
I sure hope you were able to to do the log hop recently...so many beautiful projects with this
beautiful kit for this month by Scrap That! The papers from Prima are really beautiful and I'm sure you will Love this "with love" kit too!
Today I'm going to share with you the layouts and close-up photos so you can see for yourself.
This first layout is with my daughter and using the main kit and the add-on kit.
I just love the chipboard hearts....and with the papers...well, I just couldn't help myself and kept layering and layering... :) This is a photo of my daughter and her girlfriends shopping at Bloomingdale's.
They sure had fun trying on those adorable hats.

Here you can see the lovely chipboard and I made the roses with bitty blossoms.

The leaves come with the main kit and so does the kraft cardstock. I used a few diecuts to blend the layout together.

Here you can see the gorgeous canvas hearts that come with the main kit too.

Next, is a totally different color layout using only the main kit from Scrap That!
Pink!!
Now how doesn't love pink during the month of LOVE??
I cut several pieces of one paper and layered them behind the photo.
The design was a sketch that is featured this month by Amarilys Doria.
So beautiful! Thanks sweetie!
This photo is of my little Roxy again, I thought it really showed her darker featured and blended in so well with these papers.
I did add the black bling and gala gold glitz to the center of the flowers.

The flowers....so many of them...but it is only paper cut with my cricut.
So if you have a cricut it will work perfectly, but if not you can use a punch too.
I also added a black butterfly in the center....black cardstock.

I didn't have to make a title because it was already on the papers...Love it!

Another closer view of the layering of the Prima Romance Papers.
Usually I distress papers but I really didn't think it need it to show everything off so beautifully.

So here is a vintage card and layering it using the front and the back.
The canvas heart is in the background as well as using more of the kraft cardstock.
The cute title is also part of the main kit...lots of glittery stickers and small enough to make a title on either your layout or card.
I did add cream lace ribbon and a vintage button to finish this card.

So here is a different angle and as you can see it has a bit of of a 3D effect.
I add pop dots between some of the layers.

One more closer view...

Here is my last card made with the kit...just so you know I do have a few pieces of paper left so you can make other projects too. :)
This little Cupid card has lots of layers using flowers, ribbons, doily, fishnet, string and hearts ALL with the main kit. The gorgeous Prima resin cupid is from Prima and it is part of the add on kit.
They really are all beautiful pieces to have in this kit collection.
I added bling pearls to tie in my theme.

See how this card says...."with love"

One last close up...
Be sure to check out this month the tutorial to make this card.
You will be amazed on how really easy it is to make. :)

Thanks soooo much once again to stop by and see my creations made this month for Scrap That!
I really had a wonderful time making all of these projects!
Hugs

Heartfelt Wednesday's *Song In My Heart*

Hello and Happy Heartfelt Wednesday!
Today I'm sharing with you a new card made for Heartfelt Creations this week.
I have been on a Valentine's Day card mood and so I wanted to make this Valentine card
using my favorite little doves called "brookside manor" with the matching diecut from
"garden romance". I also had to use the beautiful "timeless amour" diecut. It has such a beautiful
delicate border. If you love hearts then it is a sure must have diecut.
The sentiment is part of the NEW collection this month called "melodious songbird"
I sure thought it went well with my theme this week.

The papers are from K & Company that I bought at a local scrapbooking sale.
I also just love the "decorative labels eight" They are also so delicate.
I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine....but for now I just doodled around the borders.
I wanted to add a bit of texture, so I crimped all the hearts with my crimper.

I'm always one who tries to match all my colors together and I really don't use creams and whites together....but I seen it on other shabby chic cards and it seems to really work?
So I mixed them up and well....it sure does work well together....

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out more creations this week
hugs!

The papers are beautiful and the diecuts are so super elegant.

my dicuts and papers.
