Vacation Time

Hi! Happy Friday! Today I sharing a card inspired by the Card Concept # 157 Vacation Time. Also Double D Challenge Signs of Summer. I was inspired by the different colors, bear, wood, fishing bobs, canoe, oars, trees and the water. I brought out my old Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts and the cute Elizabeth Craft Designs bear with fish.

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I just stamped it on the wood sign. The pond is also from LF.

A closer view....

My inspiration! This is a clean and layered style.

The Lorax

Good Morning! Today I am sharing a fun Dr Seuss card "The Lorax" He happens to be my youngest daughter favorite Dr Seuss character. He speaks for the trees. The coloring doesn't look too great from the photos but I added glitter on all the trees...so it looks better IRL. Im gathering up a box of goodies to send to her and will put this shadow box card with it.

First time making a shadow box card from scratch....

I printed off coloring book images from on line and resized them to what I wanted to make.

This card is an A2...I placed clear plastic in the center to make it more sturdy.

Just A Little Note With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! Today 'm sharing with you a new card using some of the new release with Cheery Lynn Designs. The beautiful "Quarterfoil Frame #2" is the background in white cardstock. I was thinking it is like an elegant lattice. So I wanted to use papers that were soft and elegant.

The flowers and leaves/ ferns were die cut using the f"loral bouquet kit" In the centers of the flowers I used gala glitz in pink. On the shite sprays I placed some white flower soft. Kind of looks like q-tips! lol

The sentiment was stamped in pink distressing ink and then fussy cut out.
Love the sentiment in a wave...

The "dandelions" were die cut in white and distressed with the pink ink.
Then there is a bit of sparkle using a glitter pen.

Love the Paris Sign 4 , I printed out "Home Sweet Home" on the computer...I was also thinking "Home Tweet Home" would work too....lol You can wee the border here I layered it three times.

Thanks!

Hello!
It's Lisa here today sharing with you my first project for Cheery Lynn Designs as a new DT! I was so excited to be one of the lucky three chosen. Thanks so much! This week I wanted to go with the challenge theme at Cheery Lynn Designs Back to Nature. When I think of nature, I think of greens and browns. However, I wanted to add a splash of color so I used pale yellow. It is the perfect color for the Sunflowers....LOVE them!

A side view of the beautiful Exotic Butterflies & Mini Dimensional Butterflies. The French Lattice in the background was cut to fit inside the Frames Rectangle Scalloped. I used Ivy Corner Flourish on both the bottom right and upper left corners.

Here is a closer view. I also added three Clouds for a springtime nature look.
On all the butterflies I added pearls. I also added a little bow with cord.

I diecut Sentiment Tag 1 with white cardstock.
The sentiment is a stamp in vintage photo ink and chalked on the edges.
LOVE the details of the Sunflowers! For a little more 3D foliage look, I added a few Flourish Leaf on top of the Ivy Flourish.

Here you can see the dimension...Not to think and easy to mail this 5 x 6 card.

I had leftovers from the front of the card, so it made it easy to finish the inside too!

Heartfelt Wednesday's *New Balmy Breeze Collection* Count The Waves

Welcome to another Heartfelt Wednesday
We're absolutely delighted to bring you the Balmy Breeze Collection. Old world vintage has been combined with tranquil seaside scenes (including a rustic compass, beach chair, fantastic surf, beaming lighthouses) and the Balmy Breeze paper pack, composed of a neutral color palette of peach and mint hues. This set is perfect for the crafter that loves creating vintage projects or for the stamper looking to create a project for her favorite man.
Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by April 16th and you will be eligible to win the entire release valued at $180.91

There are lots of minty blues in this collection but there is also this peach colored patterned paper that I wanted to use for this particular photo because of the colors of the sunset. So I kept most of the colors in creams and kraft paper.

The stamped chair is really feels like your at the beach and I just love the small anchors with matching diecut. The tags are part of the new collection and it is great for journaling and titles. Especially for me since I tend to run out of room....lol

These flowers are "lily petals" and there is also a matching diecut. I have used them before for a beach theme. I also had to add some real shells and fishnet. The swirls are from "bella rose" diecut and I just cut off the swirls from the leaves.

Check out those beautiful seagulls, decorative lattice and compass...all part of the new collection. If you are like me...there is lots of stamps to make all your beach themed projects come to life.

Dont forget to check out the new collection and your chance to win it too at the
Have a great day!

Heartfelt Wednesday's *I Thank God*

Hello my friends...have you ever thought about your friends and cant believe how lucky you are to have a true friend who doesn't care what you say or do and loves you no matter what? Well, this sentiment was perfect to thank that very person in your life. When I think of God, I think of peaceful serene things. This stamp from the new collection from Heartfelt Creations "Sweet Serenity" was a perfect match to the old sentiment from Heartfelt Creations "Inspire Me Sentiments

I have been making for a long time now cards for Heartfelt Creations with lots of flowers. I really didn't think this card needed any flowers because I really wanted to focus on the beautiful stamped image and sentiment. If you notice I didn't even use any patterned paper either...just diecuts and punches.

So I was going to use my liquid pearls in white for the framing of the image but then I looked in my ribbons and found the string of pearls. I used clear glue to hold them down. I sure like the look, plus it was super fast....I will be doing that more often. :)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to Thank God for your dear ones in your life...

Nature's Beauty

Hello again for the 2nd time today! lol
I have been making several layouts for just ME....and lately I have been doing this monochromatic colors over at sb.com. I didn't really realize that I really like making those types of layouts? I'm always trying to think of colors to mix together and well, I guess I really like them simple in colors...or at least this month I have been.
So, here is the last of the color palette...it is new mown grass...When I was thinking of the color, I thought of the green outside and the forest. So i wanted to add some cute "Disney" characters. They are "bambi" and bambi's mother. I used some old prima flowers and felt that I have had for a while. I masked in the background and used lots of diecuts and flowers....
This is an old picture of Roxy standing in the front of our home. It is a huge tree...next to lots of cactus...lol

here is a closer view of my disney characters, they are just coloring book pages and I fussy cut them out and then colored them with my copic markers.

You can see the 3D look with all the flowers, title and fawn.

Hope you are inspired by nature with my mighty green layout!
Hugs!

Meow!

Hi, Been a while sine I last posted....I have been making posts and designs but they are part of DT work so they will be shown soon! :)
Meanwhile, I was thinking of my mother last night and tried to call to chat, but she was out and about.....so I made this card for her...thinking of her favorite thing....CATS! My mother LOVES cats especially her favorite cat "Mokley" He is a black and white long haired tuxedo cat....My mother loves the "Cats Meow" village collection and has several of their scenes. So, I decided to make a tiny black cat smaller than an inch and place it on the card. The background stamp is from the NEW collection "My Guy" and it was the purrrrfecct look for my little black cat. I love the color red....but I tend to use green most of the time? It is cloudy and rainy here in Arizona, so the colors of the green look a bit different...but they really all are the same green....

I'm not sure what "Meow" means to a kitty....but for my card it means "Hello" Mother.
I used my new diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs "Fanciful Flourish" ....I have seen it around and bought it at the last stamp convention in Mesa Arizona....it is wonderful for cards! Its so delicate....hoping to get more soon!

Here is a close up of my tiny black cat....he is fussy cut out and stamped with black ink.
The green rose is a Prima rose, and the cream roses are from Donna Salazar's "Rose Creations"
The rose/tree branches are from Punch Bunch....Love their punches!

I am entering this into the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #19
-Add a Flourish.
I am also entering this into this week's The Pink Elephant Challenge "Get Krafty"
Thanks for stopping by! Meow!

Sympathy Card

Hi,
This morning I made this card for my girlfriend who just recently lost her father at the age of 56....way too young....and I can relate to the feeling of the loss of my father which happened almost 2 years ago...but still is very tender to the heart....
I was looking for a sympathy card over on pinterest, which happens to be a big inspirational place right now...when I seen a card made by...Amy Sheffer with Verve. OMGosh! I totally fell in love and knew that I wanted to make something like it for my friend. It has green...which I was told it was her favorite color by another friend....and all the softness to this card was the look I was hoping for to give to her....thank you AMY!
I used burlap and the cardboard is just Kraft cardstock, distressed and inked then put through my crimper to make it look like real cardboard.
The nest is twine swirled around a few times over and over, glued and added some small vintage pearls in the center. I used some of my heartfelt creations stamps, some old some new. The background paper is from Graphic 45...so soft....love it!
Believe it or not the paper matches the ferns...but here they really pop in color? Its OK though it looks good IRL...

The inside view...the paper is the opposite side of the front paper....
lots of distressing too...

Close up of the stamps from Heartfelt Creations...I'm not a big coloring person...but hope to be someday...meanwhile it worked out well for this sympathy card.... also a closer look at the nest with pearls....the music paper is just printed from the Internet on cream cardstock....no need to buy it....love when its free!

Hope she likes this card...for lots of LOVE went into it.....thanks for the sweet comments!
