Happy Mother's Day!

Hi and Happy Mother's Day!
I hope all you mother's have a wonderful and fun day! I wanted to share with you today another easel card that I made and mailed to my Mother. She loves pink and well this card screams pink! I have been so busy making cards and project for my DT that I really haven't made any for my stash.  This card came together pretty quickly since I didn't make the flowers...I used some of my old stash..

The card base is 5 inches and all the flowers are from Recollections. The leaves in the background are Cheery Lynn Dies Flourish #13 and the lacey swirls is called "florence filigree doily" I added some pearl swirls from Zva.

A closer view....there is also a pink sheer bow along the side.

The sentiment was printed on the computer in pink and I added some pearl swirls on the top.

Here you can see how it closes and ready to be mailed!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I sure hope everyone has a great day!

Mother's Day Easel Card With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! It's just around the corner from Mother's Day and so I thought I would make a Mother's Day Easel Card using Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. It is also this week's challenge too, so check it out. This easel card base was made using the second largest "scalloped circle" It is about 5 inches which the size I typically like to use, but if you like a bigger card you can use the biggest "scalloped circle" which is around 6 inches around. I then cut the "scalloped circle" the 3rd largest in a lighter purple. It is about the same size as the "florence filigree doily". I die cut the doily out in white twice and saved all the pieces inside for later.

The "sweet williams strip  flowers" were cut twice and all the centers were inked with dark distressing purple. There are different size pearls in the centers. Each flower the same size was layered on top of each other which will give you 4 flowers sizes per die cut run. The inside pieces of the "florence filigree" was originally white and I just inked both sides in green distressed ink.  The sentiment was from Microsoft Word and printed  in purple on white cardstock. The die cut is the third smallest "pierced stacker #4" Afterwards, I fussy cut around the die in a dark purple cardstock to enhance it a bit more. Place pop dots under the sentiment because this will be how the card will stand up later.

Here is a closer view of the flowers and "flourish #17" leaves. They were die cut and then placed through the embossing machine to show the leaves lines. The "dandelions" were cut in white and then inked purple on the flower ends.

I added a purple double looped bow on top and you can see it folds flat for mailing or placing in an envelope. Lots of occasions you can use this card for...Birthdays, Thank You, Wedding, Thinking Of You....and of course Mother's Day!

Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out this week's challenge Mother's Day for your chance to win $20 at the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.

Im also entering this card to this week's Card Concept #54 Spring Flowers inspired using the color purple and the flowers. Im thinking this is a freestyle collage.
See you next week!

Happy Easter *Easel Card*

Good Morning and Happy Easter Weekend! This week has been super busy at work and I was trying to work on this week's Mojo Monday #286 sketch. Im in the spring mood and with easter right around the corner...I wanted to make another bunny card with eggs. I looked around my scraproom to see what I had and then I remembered these foam pieces that I bought years ago from Michael's. It came in a big foam box so I have lots of them left. I thought why not use some more up? I added little flowers to the top of the foam using my "punch bunch" and then added liquid pearls in the centers.

So this is my First Easel card. I have always liked the way they looked but never gave it a whirl....I cant believe how really easy they are to make? This card is a 5 x 5 card. I also used lots of punches for the grass, lace and fence. The diecut sentiment was made on the computer using 2 fonts and the background tree is from "memory box" called "swirly tree".

I basically did the inside like the front to match and I used a bigger "labels twenty" for writing inside too. Don't forget to use some foam underneath for the card to stand up.

Here is a closer view of the foam pieces, simple and yet adorable. All the patterned paper is from Martha Stewart.

Here is the choices of sketches for this week Mojo Monday...the ideas are endless.

Thanks for stopping by....
Have a great day and Happy Easter!
