Christmas Bluejays

Hi! Welcome back to my blog....I was super unpriced by the January Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge #32. I was planning on making bluejays, but then I couldn't find the right pre-made flowers...So the Bluejays turned a bit teal...LOL

Here is my interpretation of the snowbirds. I was inspired by the photo and also from Heartfelt Creations. I used lots of old papers from Lawn Gawn, Impression Obsession die cuts. The bluejays are actually cardinals from Heartfelt Creations. I was looking everywhere yesterday for them!...Meanwhile I did clean up some items and drawers that needed to be done.

A side view...so far it is blank inside...Im sure I will find a home for this card next year. The chipboard branches I found in the Donna Salazar section in my scrap room. I added snow to them....Also the base is from Divinity Designs. I love that it is so easy to just die cut and it is perfect.

A closer view...lots of Prima flowers..and layers. It is hard to see here but I also embossed snow with a stencil and heat embossed the white background behind the birds.

Thanks so much fo stopping by today!
Have a great Monday

Good Things Take Time

Hi one more post for today...it was inspired by the new Color Throwdown #696. I love these soft colors. It makes me think of earth. I have been on a clock run of cards...I don't know why, but I brought out some stamps from Heartfelt Creations and stamped them on cream cardstock. Here is my inspiration....

I had to use the green flowers from 49 Market....They went perfectly with the P13 paper

Time To Heal

Good morning! It's Sunday and well, I was working on my homework that is due today and decided to upload this card that I made a few days ago. Lots of Graphic 45....but the leaves are from Heartfelt Creations. I forgot about them...so I thought I would bring them out.

A side view...I love this clock...I had it for a while but never brought it out. I definitely buy more things then actually use them. Oh and did I mention I hoard Graphic 45 papers?

The sentiment I printed up on the computer in green ink.

Wishing You A Blessed Easter

Hi! Sharing today a shabby chic/vintage Easter card that I was inspired by The Card Concept #132. I have had this cross from when I used to design for Heartfelt Creations years ago. I loved a card that was made by Andrea Ewen and so I had to lift it. Thank you! Different flowers, sentiment and papers though. I chose peach/pink because it is my aunt favorite color.

A side view....

I also layered a sheer ribbon around the cross. Its a soft extra accent....

The inspirational photo....

Merry and Bright

Good Morning! Happy Monday...well, I wish I could say that Im home today crafting but Im not...off to work later this morning. I wanted to share with you a new card that is part of my stash going out this holiday season. It actually started off looking just HORRIBLE! However, somehow I was able to pull it together...now Im a bit happier.

I used lots of die cuts and layered them under the holly and flower. The trees are new from Rubbernecker Stamps that I just purchased on Sunday....with lots of other new goodies... The paper is from Our Daily Bread, it is their new Christmas paper collection for this year. The sentiment is from scrapbook.com called "Holly Jolly sentiments" I used their red hybrid ink to stamp it on the white paper.

A closer view with the cute little red dots that I seem to be going to a lot for decorating my trees this year....
Have a great day!

Merry Christmas

Hi a quick post on a card that I made 22 times this weekend!!! 21 were for a card swap here locally at the Scrapbook Expo in Mesa AZ. I never had made so many card except for my daughters invitations for her wedding! My son helped die cut out most of them and I assembled them in the morning day of the swap....last minute procrastinator. LOL

I ended up making this last one because in the mist of making them all I didn't have time to take a photo for my blog...So I figured I could send this one out to someone in the family this holiday.

I added some liquid appliqué to the tree with sequins. Love the pine and the fancy die cut is from Heartfelt Creations. The poinsettia is from Cheery Lynn Designs now called Maker's Movement.

Im also entering this card to this week's Cookie Challenge  #102
Congrats!

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share a card that I just finished. It was inspired by this week's Cookie Challenge # 92. at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie. I recently purchased these beautiful flowers from 49 Market. So I thought they would be perfect for this bee card.

I was looking though my stash and found the striped paper that is part of a Christmas collection. LOL
The honeycomb and banner are from Cheery Lynn Designs. The adorable bee's are from Heartfelt Creations. I just colored them yellow and fussy cut them out. The sentiment was printed on the computer.

I also used my favorite punch from Martha Stewart.

The adorable cookies!

The Bridge

Hi everyone! Today Im sharing with you a new card that I made last month for the upcoming card contest in Mesa AZ today. The theme is about bridges. When I made this card, I recently had a put my Stella dog to rest. It was a very sad day. I decide to make a card about rainbow bridge but with a neutral blue color like the blue heaven and skies.

Lots of die cuts used from Cheery Lynn Designs and I had to stamp the flowers and leaves from Heartfelt Creations . The tiny paw stamps are from Stamps from Judith.

I inked the clouds and made the sentiment on the computer.

One last view...Tiny bling throughout.

Sea You Soon!

Hi! Hope you had a great weekend! I have been creating just not posting. Be sure to check back the next few days with lots of summer cards. So today I was working hard on this card for a friend of mine who is leaving for  the next couple of month's in Europe to visit her family....I sure will miss my friend....sigh.... Meanwhile...I used the sketch from Mojo Monday # 497. It started off the same then took a bit of a twist...

As some of you may know, I LOVE anything to do with the water, beach, ocean, nautical...etc
Well, so does my girlfriend who is leaving for most of the summer....So I thought "Sea You Soon" was perfect title to the card.

I bought the chipboard pieces a while ago when I made a little book from Michael's. The flowers I bought on clearance through scrapbook.com. The banner I printed on the computer and used my favorite die cut "fishtail banner" from Cheery Lynn Designs. The stamped anchor and wheel have matching die cuts from Verve.

The elegant swirls are from Heartfelt Creations called "belle rose" The mesh in the background is also from Cheery Lynn Designs. The gorgeous papers are from CraftSmith called "seaglass" I added sequins for little bubbles and a little bling...

Here is the inspirational sketch...thanks again Julee!

Have a great day!
