Happy Winter Friend

Hi! I have a second post for today inspired by the Double D Challenge Snow. I truly meant to upload a card for the Birthday challenge...and well time got away...But Happy Birthday Double D! Meanwhile I had a blast layering all theses die cuts with the cute dogs & snowman. I wanted to show off the dog house too...but it did get layered a bit more than I thought it would. Next time.

The inside I added a few more cardinals....with icicles.

A closer view.....lots of tiny pieces but I am happy with the end results....

The inspiration....Thanks

Thanks for stopping by today...

Your Friendship

Hi, Today I am sharing a new card that I made for a dear friend of mine. She happens to be my crafting co dependent. LOL She gave me some information and well...I took her advice. Good news...sharing at a later time. The sentiment was on a stamp that I seen online and since I didn't own it....I decided to just print this up on my computer with some different fonts and sizes.

I sent this out a few days back and she received it....which I waited to post here. I love these papers from Graphic 45 and the flowers were all from Recollections.

A closer view....

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful day!

Friends Like You....

Hi, I know it is late in the day....but I finally put together a card inspired by the Cupcake Challenge #495 Friendship. I love the fun confetti on the cupcake so I knew I wanted to make another shaker card with fun colors.

The patterned papers are a real challenge for me because I really can never work with more than 2 or 3 colors....The sentiments are from scrapbook.com and Lawn Fawn

Using the fun confetti in the shaker as well as on the cupcake.

The inspiration... Thank you!

Furever Friends with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello again! I'm sharing today a cat card that was inspired by vintage old New York. I used lots of fun Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts, plus a few stamps that I fussy cut out. I have been wanting to use the "vintage books" for a while now. I thought the "paris sign" would be great for the sentiment.

I used some prima patterned paper and some cream and kraft cardstock. I then distressed the edges of the papers to give it an old worn out look. The "windows" were die cut out in black and then I placed cream paper behind it. The books were die cut in cream and then I distressed them with vintage ink.

I kept the same colors for the mouse, yarn and fishbowl. The cats were die cut out twice and I just used part of the cats for the top window.

Thanks for stopping but today!
Have a great day!

Favorite Peeps with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello my favorite peeps! Thanks for stopping by today to check out my latest creation for Cheery Lynn Designs. I was thinking about my sister yesterday when I made this card. When she was a little girl her nickname was "chicks" So every time I see a chicken I think of her....

My son suggested the grey chicken wire....sometimes they stop by my scrap room....lol

I added red flowers with gala glitz in the centers and flourishes with orange leaves? Guess you can use your imagination for leaves....I just wanted it match.

Our Friendship...

Ahoy! Well, it is Sunday afternoon and I'm back to share a new card for my girlfriend before the leaves on her 2 month trip back home. I realize we are adults...but when we get together we act like little girls. So I thought using this fabulous Lawn Fawn stamps and die cut would be perfect!

This is my first time in trying to color and blend the inks together. I only blended the mountains but I can see it is not as hard as I thought? Although excuse some of the black smudging....I tried. I hope she doesn't notice either? LOL

The sentiment was printed on the computer and I used Clouds and Rain from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I'm the brunette and she is the Blond.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Friend With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hello friends! Today I have a really Clean and Simple card for you to make using one Cheery Lynn Designs Die! It is part of the May 2016 New Release called "Cherry Blossom Branch" It's Beautiful! If there is one die cut that you want in your collection...it is for sure this one....
I tend to add lots of layers to many of my cards and of course I'm a pop dot addict. However, I also think that Clean and Simple cards are beautiful too!

The die was cut 4 times, twice in green and twice in red. Then fussy cut out the red flowers and glue on top of the green. add pearls and your done! The sentiment was stamped in the corner. It is super flat except for the pearls but it should be easy to mail. Takes about 5 minutes to make. :)

Here you can see a close up the intricate details in the flowers and the leaves.  I layered red cardstock and a patterned paper underneath for more color, but it also looks great plain.

I LOVE red! and this is the cover of the die cut that inspired me to make this card today.

Rain or Shine

Hi and Happy Sunday!
Well, this morning it was raining here in the valley and so it is a bit sunny in some areas, but mostly cloudy. So I thought I would bring out my new stamp set from Verve and use some vintage blue papers and a bit of yellow. The sentiment is perfect for the weather today! The sketch is part of the new month at Viva La Verve Oct #1. Wow! Can't believe it is October already!

The papers are from My Mind's Eye "Come Away With Me" I just love the vintage blue patterned paper! The vintage yellow paper is from Joann's. The flowers from my everlasting stash from the local scrapbooking rummage sale. The white leaves diecuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs called "Flourish #13"

The awesome stamp set is from Verve called "Rain or Shine" I attempted coloring and well, it is ok?? I recently bought some REAL copic paper and plan on learning finally how to color! Wish me luck!

Here is the great sketch! Thx Julee!

Well, hope everyone has a great day!

Friends

Hi Happy Mojo Monday!
Today, I had a stressful morning to the point my BP was really high. So fortunately, I was able to go home earlier than I thought...I then ate lunch and took a nap. I feel a lot better now. I thought I would try to make today the Mojo Monday #401 sketch, since I printed it up last night. :)

I was thinking about my girlfriend who lives in the Midwest and she mention that it was hailing there??? It is June right? Oh My....So she mentioned that she wants to move to AZ and I sure wish she did! She is my bestie since High School and even though we don't chat much it is only a matter of one phone call and we caught up real quickly.

So as I was thinking of her I came across this stamp that I bought on clearance recently. It sure says it all for me.

The wonderful sketch once again by Julee Tilman! Thank you!

Have a great day!
Be sure to stop by soon!

Good Friends and Wine

Hello,
Today I'm sharing with you a new card for a girlfriend of mine. Last week, we were able to get off work a little early and decided to have lunch and a glass of wine. It was really nice to have girl time.  We have normal girl chats and well, it is always cheaper than therapy! lol
I have seen so many of these cafe shop cards and well today I had to give it a try.

The awning below is really easy to make. I used a corner punch. That way you can make your awning any size you want on any size card. I used 2 different diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. Clouds & Rain and Scandinavian Tag 1

All the stamps are old wine stamps...I believe they fiskars. The green paper was embossed and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the top edge. Some pearls and ribbon and this card is ready to be sent out! Actually, I plan on giving it to her in person. :)

Thanks again for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Friends & Chocolate

Hello Chocolate Friends,
Today Im sharing with you a card about my LOVE for chocolate! The sketch was inspired by Viva La Verve #3 April! I can not believe I was able to do all four fabulous sketches this month! Yay! I have been wanting to use the chocolate diecut from Verve for quite some time now....This sketch turned out to be the perfect one to express my love for it too!

I was struggling on some sort of title on the banner....then of course! Hershey my favorite chocolates. I have mini clear stamps that work perfectly on the banner from Our Daily Bread.

The mini doilies are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I wanted to use another heart but it was too big so I used my cricut 1 inch for the heart an embossed it with the same embosser on the chocolate cardstock.  The sentiment was printed on my computer.

I had to use some red ribbon and the bow is a triple, double bow in red my favorite color!

Here is the sketch for week 3 at Viva La Verve! Thanks!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

My Friend *Mojo Monday #259*

Hi, Welcome back to my blog...sorry it has been almost a whole week since I last posted.
Today I am sharing with you a card that I made for this week's Mojo Monday
Here is the beautiful sketch this week:

Last night I was thinking about what I wanted to do with this awesome new sketch and around 9pm it came to me...lol So I ran down to my scraproom and made this card in less than in hour. Love when it comes easy! This is a friendship poem by Mary E Carpio. I just loved it and I wanted to be part of the front of the card, sort of like those amazing Hallmark cards that have the poems on the front.

I have been on this yellow and green kick lately with these amazing new stamps and diecuts from Heartfelt Creations called "delicate asters" They are so beautiful and very delicate indeed.

Here you can see how the flowers pop right off the card. I also added some yummy bling.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out 2 new post tomorrow here at my blog!
xoxo

Feeling Beachy!

Good evening ladies!
I know it is late in the day, but I wanted to share my beach themed card for this week's Mojo Monday #235. I have been making several kind of vintage feeling cards lately and today I felt like being at the ocean...I'm so ready for a vacation! How about you? I LOVE the ocean and my favorite place to go is Santa Monica, CA. Wish I was there now....well, maybe this summer...
Here is the beautiful sketch by Teresa Kline....thank you!

Here is my beach card...I was trying to think of a good sentiment to give to a friend of mine who loves the beach too. This is what I ended up making on the computer and printing out..I seen this before online...I liked the way it sounded.

The paper are from K & Company " Sea Glass" Collection....it really is perfect for beach cards or scrapbook layouts. I also used my NEW "Zutter Distrezz-It-ALL" from Donna Salazar! Totally amazing and so fast to distress your papers quickly... :) I made the teal flower with "Rose Creations" from Donna Salazar and the green flowers are prima....finally used some again! I also used "Lacey Circles" from spellbinders and MS "Double Loops" Punch.

A super close-up of the flowers and the sentiment. I used 2 different fonts and still love making my own flowers for the perfect color blending!

Hope you feel relaxed enjoying my beach themed card....I can almost hear and smell the ocean....ahhhh!
Have a great night!
