Mokely

Hi! Sharing a new layout that I finished a few days back of my mother's favorite cat Mokely. He is now on Rainbow Bridge....I wanted to make a tribute page and plan on framing it in a shadow box for her to keep. Mokely had the most beautiful eyes! I used a couple of old papers and new flowers.

I also tried to add some journaling...I used to not put so much on my layouts...I sure want to do it more often now....after all that is what scrapbooking is all about right...pictures and the story.

So Sorry....Furry Friend

Hello again! Welcome back to another day sharing the new exclusive scrapbook.com stamp sets. These colors were inspired by another card that I made for a loss of a father. I love the earth tones and it makes me feel peaceful. So I decided to make this card softer with some flowers for the loss of a furry friend.

PawPrints On Our Heart

Hi Happy Friday! Today Im sharing with you the first of 6 new stamp sets exclusively from scrapbook.com. This one is about the loss of a pet. I wanted to make it cheerful and not so sad. So I used teals, reds, whites and brown.

I don't normally emboss in white ink. However, I thought it came out pretty good for once! LOL

The Bridge

Hi everyone! Today Im sharing with you a new card that I made last month for the upcoming card contest in Mesa AZ today. The theme is about bridges. When I made this card, I recently had a put my Stella dog to rest. It was a very sad day. I decide to make a card about rainbow bridge but with a neutral blue color like the blue heaven and skies.

Lots of die cuts used from Cheery Lynn Designs and I had to stamp the flowers and leaves from Heartfelt Creations . The tiny paw stamps are from Stamps from Judith.

I inked the clouds and made the sentiment on the computer.

One last view...Tiny bling throughout.

Thank You! Dr. Tobe

Hi! It's been a while since I last made a card for someone other than DT cards. This card is to our Vet Dr. Tobe. I have been seeing him quite a bit this past month with a new boy puppy being sick and my old girl doggie being ill. Saturday, we had to put her to sleep. Very sad and crying day! Our hearts are broken but I know she is in a better place now. We will miss our Princess Stella....xoxo

I wanted to make this a manly looking card....So I used plaids and white, grey and black. I hope he likes it...not sure if he will keep it? Meanwhile I had to say my thanks for all he has done.

Goodbyes...With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! Its Lisa back today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs.
So many times I need a last minute card for a loss for someone. I have used this sentiment in the past for a colleague leaving. Yet, I was thinking that it is a beautiful sentiment for a loss of a loved one or a pet. That was my inspiration using the beautiful angel "wings"

The oval "mirror mirror doily" has such a detailed frame and the perfect inside for any sentiment. When I think of a loss I often think of the color green....I guess back to earth....

Closer views.
Sharing the paw print stamp with the detailed "circle".
Sorry about the color changes.....late in the evening....
Added a few pearls and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you were inspired but not saddened....
Have a great Friday!

"Thank You" To Our Veterinarian

Hello, so today I have a quick story to tell you...
My little adopted Italian Greyhound "Stella" was diagnosed about a week ago with "acute pancreatitis"...she was sooooo sick and it was probably brought on by giving her too many snacks...people and beggin strips. :( My husband was sooo upset because she is his princess. He took her to the vet and she has been on 3 medications, one of them for pain. Our poor baby! We felt so bad and at complete fault. Well, it has been 10 days now and to our surprise she is feeling almost like her old self again. I did lots of research and it reads that it can take 4-6 weeks so we really feel blessed. She is on a new diet and NO more snacks ever again! So, today I wanted to make a card for the veterinarian who really took good care of her and was very compassionate about pain medications...I know that if you are in pain you don't heal as fast so this sure was very important to us. Thank You!

This is the card that I made for her...I'm working on the inside with all my gratitude.
It was inspired by 2 people, first Linda Loew with her recent heart card that I just loved and had to make and second, by Becca Feekin and a card she made a while ago for dog sympathy.
Thank you both!

Here you can see I added pop dots for a bit of dimension. I used spellbinders "decorative labels eight" for the intricate diecuts. I also used my cricut for the hearts. The embossed vellum wings are from "mixd media elements". The tiny bones are from a little bone punch that I found at the dollar store.

I just love the "bitty blossoms" and I actually used the same pink cardstock and then colored them with a copic marker. Next I added some "fairy dust glitter" pralines and cream to give it a little shine.
The adorable dog stamp is from Heartfelt Creations called "antique truck" and there are actually 2 different doggies to pick, one with flowers and one without. The paw print stamp is from Inkadinkado and I bought it the local Michael's. I really like it because it looks like a real paw print with the smearing

Here is a closer view of the wings...
for after all I think our vet is an angel sent here to take care of our beloved pets.
Especially, our little "Stella"

Thanks for stopping by today and I appreciate all you warm wishes and thoughts
for our princess to get fully healthy once again!
xoxo
