Beary & Bright

Hi! Today, I made a new card for next years holidays. It was inspired by this month's Cookie Challenge # 164 January. It also started off as a sketch over on scrapbook.com but as usual I added a lot more elements. Especially, these new beautiful 49 market flowers that I received from my Secret Santa.

The bear is from Cheery Lynn Designs and the sentiments and hillside are from Lawn Fawn.

The pine branches that I have used recently are from Divinity Designs. Love them!

Here is the cookie inspiration! The bear with a scarf and snowflakes.

Happy Holidays

Hi! Sharing a new bendy card for the upcoming holidays!
I used the adorable penguins from Cheery Lynn Designs. I also made an igloo from a stitched circle, stitched ovals and the brick die cuts also from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Some of the trees are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the other trees are from Tim Holtz!
Love them! I added the curve before I glued it down using Lawn Fawn die cut.

The wave is also from Cherry Lynn Designs. The stamped sentiment is from Verve.

Here you can the back of the card using some icicles. I was thinking about adding more brick to the back of the card but then I thought it was a great place to leave a personal message instead.

I was asked by someone over at scrapbook.com for the measurements.
The base is 4.25 x 5.5 inches
The left side of the bendy measures 2.5 x 5.5 inches
The right/bottom side of the bendy measures 1.75 x 5.5 inches
The slits are 4 inches on the inside and 2 inches on the outside.
I cut a tab 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch
I used a pencil to draw the line  for the slits and then cut with an exact knife.
I wait to cut the both after the layering is finished.
That's it....First one is a bit tougher...but then it gets easier next time.

Thanks for stopping by today!

"Christmas Cardinal" Card

Happy Sunday!
So here is the first of my Christmas cards that Im planning to make this year...this one is the traditional colors of christmas....i seen this ribbon and i immediately knew i had to have it for the holidays....it looked like candy canes....yum!
I embossed on the white cardstock with two different embossing folders...frame and swiss dots...after i glue it all down it thought I should have used my snowflake embossing folder? Oh well, next card...lol...see what happens when you forget what you own?
I have had these cardinal stamps from Heartfelt Creations...and Im finally breaking them out to use...dont know why it took me sooooo long? I love all their stamps and still keeping my fingers crossed that I make the finals..... :)
I used the spellbinders foliage for the greens and added some prima leaves...in the corners i placed some pearls....been using them a lot recently on all my cards....and topped it off with some clear bling and red flower sequins.
Here is the side angle of the card...it is a 4x6 inch card...i wanted to add some snow but i seen to have misplaced it? hum???? again....
thanks for stopping by....come back soon for more christmas cards in the making!

Just wanted to say "Boo!"

Hi Everyone,
I know its not Halloween, but I wanted to share my FIRST side step card (Link) Thank You Beate!... that I made today. I really had a fun time making it...lots of tiny details...a bit tedious...but I'm so happy with the ending result! This card is for someone special in my life and I really hope two things? One she loves it...and two she doesn't see it here? I don't know if she follows me on my blog? Well, even if she does...it still will be a surprise because the photos don't give it much justice....its really glittery! I used my Cricut for everything except the card base and the witch....I used Happy Hauntings...
Here is the front view:
Here it is a bit open to see the steps:
I even used string on the bottom so when it opens it will stay perfectly in place.
Here is the back with the journaling...sorry its private...but you get the idea....:)
Hope you try your FIRST side step card too! Its super fun!
Thanks for stopping by....

I love the 4th of July! It is my favorite holiday of the year...I love the fireworks, family, parades and BBQ's. Many great memories over the years! To celebrate I made a fun card, Ive been on a super card kick lately! lol Since I love fireworks so much and love making my own embellishments....I made these super fast, fun fireworks for you to put on your 4th of July invitations for next year or for your holiday layouts.
Here is what you need: Blue/Red Cardstock....1.5 inch trianlges x 2 Cream/White Cardtock...2 inch rectangles x 2 Red/Blue quilling strips or 1/8inch cardstock strips Glue Scissors Fiber Popsicle Stick
First, take the quilling strip and just glue across at an angle every 1/4inch, cut of the ends to the end of the rectangle
Second, glue the triangle up on the top.
Third, flip over and glue half of the popsicle stick and the fiber.
Fourth, glue the other rectangle down and THEN the triangle...DONE! :)
Here are two example of the finished fireworks in Red and in Blue
Now on a 6 x 6 card for next years invitations!
