Little Monster

Hello! Today I am sharing a card for my daughter and son in law who are fostering a little boy who is two years old. It has been one week today. Boy are they really getting a taste of parenthood. It is good for them....maybe it will open up the nest and she will try to have her own baby? Sending prayers....

I have had these stickers forever! I bought them on clearance from Recollections for 1.50. Great deal! I was planning on using them in a scrapbook for a grandchild...but why not use them now....

A closer view....

Party Like There's No Tomorrow

Hi Good morning! I wanted to share my fun dinosaur card that I made inspired by a few challenges. The Color Throwdown #532, Lawn Fawnatics #48 Inspired by a Book, Movie, Song. I chose Land Before Time. However, I kept the dinosaurs with the Color Throwdown theme. The Library Challenge #28 The Party. Lastly, but not least....I used several die cuts from Lawn Fawn to make this birthday card for a little boy for the Challenge #116 For The Men Boys In Our Lives

I have been loving the bright cheerful colors lately and I used "grassy hillside" "stitched wave""stitched mountain" "stitched rectangles" "stitched hillside" "life is good" "simple puffy clouds" and the New Release of "Rawsome"

On the "simple puffy clouds" I used the inside of the die cut to free hand the black liner and then I used the "rawsome" stamps in pieces on the clouds for my sentiment.

Practicing some shading....maybe someday I will get it! I also have to say this card was inspired by the fabulous Megan Quinn from Lawn Fawn. Your cheerful colors and layering are amazing! Thank you!

The inspirational challenges! Thank you!

Have a great day!

"I Robot" with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi! Welcome back to another card using the new release from Cheery Lynn Designs! These new retro die cuts are really adorable and I love how this card is perfect for a boy. It is really hard for me to make cards that do not have flowers, ribbon, or pearls. So, if you are looking to find something for boys these new die cuts are perfect for you!

The robots, the small circle and the rocket have pop dots behind them all. Lots of tiny details but worth the end result.

Hope you enjoyed!
Have a great day!

Welcome Baby!

Hi everyone! Hope your weekend is great! I'm on call today so I thought I would just play in my scrap room until I get called into work? Keeping fingers crossed I can play all day..... Meanwhile, I decided to start making all those baby cards for peeps I know having babies soon. This card was inspired by this month's sketch at April Viva La Verve 2018. I look forward to the sketch every month!

I decided to make a nautical card for the baby, since summer is around the corner. It seems I love to make those type of cards. Probably because I love the water....although I do live in the desert, Go figure? lol

I added the waves and bling for bubbles.

The beautiful sketch! Thx Julee!

Cute as a Button With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs! I wanted to make a card for a little boy using mostly buttons. I then decided to make it a fun shaker card by using some pierced circles too. It was inspired by a friend who brought her son to work for all of us to oooh and aaah! Adorable baby!

The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment was printed on the computer. I added some fun shaker beads (red and teal) in the center to match the paper.

There are pop dots behind the buttons for a 3D effect.

It's A Boy! Choo Choo

Hi! Happy Sunday!
Today Im sharing with you the last of a bunch of boy cards for my colleagues at work.
I really had a hard time thinking of one more card so I decided to card lift this one from Pinterest.
You can see the original one HERE. Thank you!
I really loved how the clouds looked in the background. I used my Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds.
The sentiment is also from Lawn Fawn Bundle Stamps.

The pierced lines on top and bottom was made using a piercer and template from Stamping Up!
The train and clouds are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I added some white liquid appliqué for the puffy clouds and chalked the edges with Tim Holtz distressing ink Denim.

I couldn't help myself and I added the triple/double looped ribbon to the top. The felt ribbon on the bottom and I cut blue card stock with a punch for the gift card. Lastly I added some clear buttons.

You're A Star With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone, it's Lisa back today with a super quick card using the new release "you're a star" with Cheery Lynn Designs. I kept the card clean and simple and literally a matter of minutes to make for that super sweet boy for any occasion.

As you can see, I just added more stars from "100 stars" and used the smallest "pierced banner" to print up the word "star". I also added pop dots behind the large star for more dimension.

Bundle of Joy with Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back again this week with a super fast card to make for a baby or you can even make it a birthday card using 2 sheets of plain cardstock and 3 wonderful Cheery Lynn Diecuts. I chose to layer them on top of each other using 3 of the 4 largest Lords & Commons Boutique with pop dots in between each layer. Inspiration for this card came from this week's Lots of Layers Challenge and from my nephew having his first baby boy! So excited for his new family!

The card is a 5x6 in white cardstock, I then layered it with 4.75 x 5.75 light blue and distressed the edges. A light blue ribbon was attached to the center and then the largest Lords & Commons Boutique diecut on top. The following layers were diecut out the same and used with the Rectangle Frames for the perfect cut. On top I added the Celtic heart cut out once in blue and once in white then placed them together and stamped on the white center. Little blue pearls and a ribbon bow finished this card.

Here you can see the layers with the pop dots....Your friends with think you spent hours on this card when it only takes a few minutes! Gotta love that!

Happy Birthday Old Buzzard!

Hi, Today is my husband's birthday :)
He is only 45 but we have this joke about calling each other old buzzard's sometimes....mostly becasue it gets harder to wake up for work in the morning and we tend to go to bed early....so we feel like old buzzards....lol
So I wanted to make him a card with a buzzard and yet I needed it to be manly...I have had this pirate paper for a long time...so I finally used it. I also made the treasure chest out of black cardstock. I stamped woodgrain from Heartfelt Creations and embossed it in gold ink. I didnt have any gold coins so they are made out of gold paper and embossed with my cuttlebug. It is the same measurements as the tissue box in my earlier post.

The balloons and bubble were made with my cricut and I just added quilling paper for strips and cut out one of the jolly roger's and glued it to the top of the balloon. The buzzard is a clipart printed out and I colored it with copic markers.

This is the first manly card I have made since Feb! Yikes!
Have a great day!

Cricut 360 Challenge #5

Good Morning,
As summer is still here and in its hottest time of the year in AZ, I am still wishing I can get out of the state and go somewhere nice and cool! This week over at Cricut 360 is all about TRAVELING! So I was thinking beach or even a cruise...which is how I came up with my new card...
"Bon Voyage" Wouldn't that be nice?
This card is a standard, 5 x 7 card using my Cricut: George Basic Shapes, Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots and Tiny Bubbles. After I finished the card it looked a bit like a baby boy card...lol
I used photoshop to make the circle path...I actually have an older photoshop..so I used a template that I downloaded a quite a while ago from Creating Keepsakes and changed the words....Im so excited I taught myself something new...(im a bit slow still in photoshop) lol
The waves were create by just using scissors and layered...and I just love pop dots! They are super addicting!
Here is a close-up of the boat...ok before you ask...the boat is 1/2 a circle and the sails are squares cut in half....simple!
So I hope you will be inspired by my card this week and come on over to play with us over at Cricut 360! Here is the PRIZE for this week...dont miss your chance to win!
See you there!
