Let Your Dreams Set Sail

Hello again! It's Lisa back with another beach themed card using lots of Dies R Us die cuts. Did I mention this is my favorite time of the year? I just love everything about the beach and I can never get enough of it.

I was inspired by the beautiful white sandy beaches and kept the colors simple. Blues, grey and green  palm tree tops.

I recently received these stitched clouds and well you will being seeing more of them soon....

I die cut 2 sets of blue clouds, 2 shades of blue and 1set in white with an extra small one.

As for the shore birds, I didn't separate them for fear I might lose one die cut. So I keep them the way they come from the manufacture and die cut one piece in white then color them with a copic marker.

The palm trees and grass are from Cheery Lynn Designs. I layered the grey on top of the green and added the tiny coconuts in the centers in white. Hurry to get yours too...

Hope you were inspired and enjoyed!

Strong Anchor

Hello again! Lisa here today sharing a nautical card using lots of die cuts from Dies R Us. I was inspired by another card on pinterest. I love red and it happens to be my favorite color. I also love Impression Obsession die cuts especially all the beach scenes.

This card is for my husband for our 31 anniversary. Whoa! Time does fly by....

The sentiments were just the right size to place on the wooden sign post. I die cut all the pieces and layered them together.

I started off inking the center with the ocean waves.

I die cut the sailboats and birds. Just used a copic marker to color parts.

Die cut several other pieces and place on the card however you like.

Heaven....Seems a Little Closer at the Beach

Good Morning. So today I'm sharing a card that actually brings peace to my heart. First, I love the beach and for some reason the colors and sentiment together with the sea birds makes me feel calm and relaxed. The beautiful flowers from 49 market and all the Impression Obsession die cuts help too.

I like most of my cards but this one has to be my favorite this year. Guess it will have to go to someone very special for me to part with it. LOL

I inked up the sea birds with distressing ink instead of using a marker. Think it looks pretty good? I learned this technique from kittiekraft when she was doing a demo at my local convention. Thanks!

The circle and the beautiful sea weed are from Scrapman. Love the tiny details.

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I made this card following a sketch over at scrapbook.com. I kind of let it get away with all the extra layering though. lol I love the color red and I have had these papers from last year. So I definitely want to use some of them up.

The adorable crab is my July cancer sign...so I am drawn to it quite ofter. It come from Lawn Fawn. The adorable sentiment is from LDRS. It's perfect for someones birthday in the summer.

Lots of bubbles, anchor, fishing net, and wheel. I also added some tiny bling.

So Sorry for Your Loss

Hi, Today I'm sharing a sympathy card for one of my colleagues who recently lost their father. I personally understand because it was a difficult time for me when I lost my father. I guess losing anyone in your life is not an easy time.

I kept the colors earthy with browns and greens. The flowers are from recollections and Prima. The leaves are from Sue Wilson and as I mentioned before it is one of my favorites now. I think because of the Mosaic look but also because of the size. Perfect for cards.

I added a little bit of bling pearls for an extra touch. I didn't use pattered paper. I used a woodgrain embossing folder instead. Hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by again.
Have a great day!

Summertime Thank you

Hi, well today Im back to sharing a new summertime thank you card. I love this beach color teal with yellows and of course whites. Did I mention how I LOVE these leaves fromSue Wilson. OMG I just can't stop using them.

The flowers are from a local scrapbooking rummage sale that I still have lots of flowers left. I think it was over 4 years ago? Unfortunately, the store closed down....so no more stocking up stash like the old days. Sigh. Some of the other flowers are from Micheals dollar section. I was there recently and didn't see the isle? Perhaps, it's gone? Another sigh....

I added some swirls from Impassion Obsession. and the center round circle with flowery yellow background is from Spellbinders. It was part of their April kit and they had leftovers at my local convention. So naturally, I had to pick it up. LOL

The teal background I embossed with an Anna Griffin folder. I knew it would be a busy card and no need for patterned paper.

The red flowers are from 49 Market...Love the poppy.
