Beautiful

Hi! Happy Monday! Today Im sharing another new card made for NSD. I Love the beautiful flowers from Prima and I used the brick background paper that came with the flowers. The design was inspired by the sketch below.

The sentiment is from Verve. I used some Umbrella Crafts grey ink to match the brick background.

The fishtail banners are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the yellow paper is a super old one that Im so sorry can not remember who made it.

Here is the great sketch! Thank you!

Have a great day!

Hi and Happy Mother's Day!
I hope all you mother's have a wonderful and fun day! I wanted to share with you today another easel card that I made and mailed to my Mother. She loves pink and well this card screams pink! I have been so busy making cards and project for my DT that I really haven't made any for my stash.  This card came together pretty quickly since I didn't make the flowers...I used some of my old stash..

The card base is 5 inches and all the flowers are from Recollections. The leaves in the background are Cheery Lynn Dies Flourish #13 and the lacey swirls is called "florence filigree doily" I added some pearl swirls from Zva.

A closer view....there is also a pink sheer bow along the side.

The sentiment was printed on the computer in pink and I added some pearl swirls on the top.

Here you can see how it closes and ready to be mailed!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I sure hope everyone has a great day!

Hi! Happy NSD! Here is a card that I made using a fun sketch by Verve. It is for a colleague birthday celebration that happens to be today! She loves pink so this card should make her smile.

I used Prima papers and some old flowers still in my stash. The stamped roses and sentiment are from Verve. The edges are all distressed and I used Tim Holtz Victorian Ink.

A couple of pop dots under the mini tags and last some pearls.

The great sketch! I always love these sketches!

Happy Birthday! NSD Cardmaps

Hi! Welcome to my first card for CardMaps! It is my entry for this year's National Scrapbooking Day celebrating the month of May. I want to use vintage colors and I love the MME Sunshine collection. In fact, it is almost gone...

Te banners were made using Our Daily Bread die cut. The doily and banner with the sentiment are from Cheery Lynn Designs. The sentiment is from Verve stamps, it is part of the birthday collection.

I added pop dots behind the banners and chalked the edges of the sentiment flag.

Here is the wonderful sketch! Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by!
Be sure to come back for more projects during this NSD weekend!

Life's Storms With Mojo Monday #446

Good Morning! It's just after 10 am here in Arizona and Im happy to have some fun crafting time for myself this morning! It has been a super long time since I have been able to play along with Mojo Monday. However, Im happy to say I have had fun with this month's sketch with Mojo Monday #446.

As I was looking through all my dies....I originally was thinking about stars like the actual sketch...but then I seen the cute sailboats in the 3 sizes from Impression Obsession and knew I was going to make another nautical card! OMGosh! Im sure everyone is tired of them...but I can't help myself....guess Im like a fish in water? lol

The papers have to be one my favorites because it is almost completely gone now...The papers are from Fancy Pants called Making Waves. I added a mesh border from Cheery Lynn Designs in the center and the punch down on the bottom is from Fiskars.

The stamp across the top border, circle and sentiment are from Verve stamps. I think this is one of my favorite stamp sets ever! Thank you!

Here is the sketch for this week's contest! Thanks again Julee!
Have a great day!

One Day At A Time

Hi! Glad you could stop by today!
It has been a really long long time since I actually made something for my personal stash!
As some of you may have noticed ...Im on this nautical beach theme. This is pone more to join the collection, except this one is not bright and colorful. This card is more soothing to the eyes. Really makes me think of Cape Cod and the beaches.

There are lots of Cheery Lynn Dies used again, but there are several little flowers from petaloo in kraft and some teal flowers from a grade sale at my local scrapbooking store. The paper is from Bo Bunny and most of the collection is bright except for a few distressed pieces of patterned paper.

The sentiment that I used is from Verve. I just thought this would be a great inspirational card for someone who loves the beach as much as I do. The edges of the papers are all distressed using Distress It All. Lastly, the chain and centers of the sand dollar were colored with a topic marker.

Thanks for stopping by!
Be sure to come back to more cards soon!

Mother's Day Easel Card With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! It's just around the corner from Mother's Day and so I thought I would make a Mother's Day Easel Card using Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. It is also this week's challenge too, so check it out. This easel card base was made using the second largest "scalloped circle" It is about 5 inches which the size I typically like to use, but if you like a bigger card you can use the biggest "scalloped circle" which is around 6 inches around. I then cut the "scalloped circle" the 3rd largest in a lighter purple. It is about the same size as the "florence filigree doily". I die cut the doily out in white twice and saved all the pieces inside for later.

The "sweet williams strip  flowers" were cut twice and all the centers were inked with dark distressing purple. There are different size pearls in the centers. Each flower the same size was layered on top of each other which will give you 4 flowers sizes per die cut run. The inside pieces of the "florence filigree" was originally white and I just inked both sides in green distressed ink.  The sentiment was from Microsoft Word and printed  in purple on white cardstock. The die cut is the third smallest "pierced stacker #4" Afterwards, I fussy cut around the die in a dark purple cardstock to enhance it a bit more. Place pop dots under the sentiment because this will be how the card will stand up later.

Here is a closer view of the flowers and "flourish #17" leaves. They were die cut and then placed through the embossing machine to show the leaves lines. The "dandelions" were cut in white and then inked purple on the flower ends.

I added a purple double looped bow on top and you can see it folds flat for mailing or placing in an envelope. Lots of occasions you can use this card for...Birthdays, Thank You, Wedding, Thinking Of You....and of course Mother's Day!

Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out this week's challenge Mother's Day for your chance to win $20 at the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.

Im also entering this card to this week's Card Concept #54 Spring Flowers inspired using the color purple and the flowers. Im thinking this is a freestyle collage.
See you next week!

It's A Dry Heat! With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! Im back today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs using their New Release Northern United States and Provinces. I live here in Arizona, so I had to share the popular "It's A Dry Heat" card. This card was inspired by a post card here in AZ. I placed the "Arizona State" in the middle of the card. The State was cut 3 times in each color and then I fussy cut the white cardstock behind it. It really makes it pop out a bit more. In the center is a star from "100 stars"

The "scalloped frame" was cut in light purple and kraft and then placed together. The cactus was made using "surfer's up set" surf boards and I embossed them to look like cacti. I also used the small bushes in kraft since it is hot in the summer and everything turns a bit brown.

The sun was made using a "sunflower" and the font is microsoft word Bleeding Cowboys. The little skeleton is a stamp that I fussy cut out. Lots of pop dots behind, but you could also leave it flat for mailing out.

Hope you enjoyed!

Princess Castle

Hi everyone! Im back today sharing another box card.  I had a blast making this fun card. I have been wanting to use this castle since I received it  from Cheery Lynn Designs. I was inspired from another box card from svg.cuts using a castle in the front. Cheery Lynn Designs "castle" is slightly larger than 3 inches wide. So I made a box card using a piece of white 6 x 12 inch cardstock and scoring at 3, 6, and 9 inches.  I then turned it and scored in the middle at 3 inches. There is a 1 x 3 inch piece of cardstock glueing the ends together in the inside.

I cut 3 of the ends off and die cut the top edge with "curved border" I did that two more times for the back and in blue for the sky. The castle was die cut 6 times. Three in hot pink and 3 in light pink. Lots of fussy cutting out but the lines are there so it is really easy to follow. I layered throughout and there are 3 inserts in the center. 3 x 4 inches and scored on the 4 inches a half inc on both sides, then glued in the center.

Lots of "clouds" and I printed the sentiment from Microsoft Word.

Closer view of the castle. There are a few pop dots in the front. I decided to add some waves to represent a moat using "at the beach". My family says it looks like the beach...oh well part of creativity right?...lol

Here you can see it flat for mailing to that adorable princess in your life!

Hope you enjoyed!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Victorian Purse

Hi everyone!

I have been busy making lots of projects and cards for Cheery Lynn Designs. I was browsing through my posts and realized that I made this paper purse bag for a close friend that I enjoy going to all the conventions in town. She had made me a beautiful purse and I didn't want to copy her adorable bag so I made this one inspired from pinterest.

I tried to make it shabby chic/vintage and used papers from K & Company. I used pre made flowers and added pearls throughout.

There is some cream lace and the sides are an accordion fold.

A cute bow on top made using my bow maker and the edge of the handle was used with my Martha Stewart punch.

The leaves were made using Rose Leaves from Cheery Lynn Designs.

The back of the purse.

Thanks for stopping by...had fun making this purse for my friend.
