Baking Holiday Treats

Hi Happy Mojo Monday!
Can you believe it is already November? Wow! That means we are that much closer to Christmas. Less than 2 months away....So I wanted to make another holiday card before I get behind...
This card was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday contest #422. The papers I bought on clearance last year at Marshall's for $2.99 It is called "Home for Christmas" by Pebbles.

I used my spellbinders lacey circle for the sentiment, with tiny pearls along the edge. The sentiment and the tiny gingerbread man are from Technique Tuesday. The big gingerbread man is from Cheery Lynn Designs, gingerbread family.

I added some ribbon, a bow and some pearls to finish this holiday card.

Here is the sketch! Thx again Julee

Have a great week!

#263 Thankful With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi Happy Monday!
Well, this week's challenge with The Shabby Tea Room is Thankful. I'm thankful to have family around the whole holiday season. The wonderful inspirational photo places me in the Christmas spirit. This week's sponsor is from Great Expressions

Here is my interpretation of the photo. My husband loves the rustic burlap look for the holidays, so thought I would make a christmas card. I have this candle stamp from Verve and fussy cut it out. Added a little shimmer to the wicks and center of poinsettia. The sentiment is also from Verve.

I used one of my favorite Martha Stewart lace punch and then cut a piece of burlap to go in the center.

Love the soft colors and of course I had to add some white pearls! lol
The flower is from Petaloo. It was a perfect match to my burlap.

Herre is a closeup of the pinecones. I have been watching a few tutorials on how to make them. Finally I figured out a super easy way to make them fast....tutorial coming soon!

Thanks for stopping by today!

My son helped me with the dimensions for the top of the haunted house. Thx son!

I kept the colors to the normal Halloween colors, Black, White, Grey, Orange and Green.

A peek inside....Simple but I plan on using photos on all the pieces inside.

Lots of fun details on the fishes! I had to add little wiggle eyes! The "Welcome" is also part of the New Release this month.

Beautiful {Just The Way You Are}

Hi! Happy Sunday!
Sorry I haven't been posting that much...been making projects for DT and contest and No time for just me! Well, today, I wanted to make a card for Viva La Verve Oct #4. It has been a couple of weeks and I told myself I wanted to use the sketch from this Friday. So fun! Since Halloween is just around the corner, I figured I could get a few more cards in before the holiday.

The green french doily and spider web/nest are from Cheery Lynn Designs, I never get tired of using them over and over again! I choose the green because I think of witches being green but wanted to make it pretty with bling and the gorgeous green flower from Petaloo. The witch stamp is years old and I'm not sure who makes it so sorry....

The "Beautiful" stamp is from Verve. I just love it! I was thinking that you know how who might have that one friend who can be kind of a witch? But yet they are still beautiful? Well, I do....and that is how the two stamps became one on a card....

Here you can see the beautiful flower...and the black bling. I thought It went well with the swirls on the witch stamp.

Here is that gorgeous stamp that Im sure I will be using over and over again too!

Her is the wonderful sketch! Thank you!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Paris With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi everyone! Its Lisa back this week sharing with you some more new release dies from Cherry Lynn Designs. Ok, I have to tell you that as soon as I seen the "Paris Eiffel Tower" I knew I had to get it for a card to make for my sister! She's LOVES Paris and I can see making this card with so many fun shabby chic and vintage looking projects. Now for the AMAZING new "Royal Scandinavian Boutique"I layered them over each other with patterned papers in between. There is a bit of black cardstock using "A2 Scalloped Rectangle Frame" I thought it gave it a super nice touch.

The three flowers were made using, one "Medium Rose" and two "Miniature Roses" I distressed the inside with distressing inks and added vintage pearls in the centers. I also added several tiny pearls on the title and the "Eiffel Tower". The cute tiny leaves are called "Flourish #13" They are the perfect size to blend in with the tiny roses. The card was inspired by this week's challenge "Vintage". I love vintage and shabby chic, Its my favorite kind of cards to make.

I tend to add papers in the inside of my cards, but not usually add more dies...However, I thought this was a perfect card to add the "Bon Appetit" die insiide. The sentiment I found on the computer and played around with english-french translator...It reads, "Please join us for dinner tonight" I die cut out another part of the "Royal Scandinavian Boutique" and printed it. Lastly, I had this tiny Eiffel tower stamp and I fussy cut it out.

#262 Colors and Patterns With The Shabby Tea Room

Hi everyone!
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card made for The Shabby Tea Room #262 Colors and Patterns using an adorable digital image from My Artistic Adventures:

I didn't use any patterned papers, I cut stripes of kraft cardstock, distressed the edges and chalked them with black chalk. I wanted to really focus on the image but also bring some vintage to it. So I added some bling, flowers and lace.

Not too bulky....

Here is the photo inspiration!

Witch's "Beautiful" Purple Boot

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
Today Im sharing with you a boot that was made using my cricut "Happy Hauntings" I have been making several Halloween cards this year and I was getting ready to sen out a card to my sister (down below) but then I was browsing on pinterest and seen some super adorable boots! So I figured since I already had the cricut cartridge it should be pretty fast. It sure was...I forgot how I love my little machine! The best part was I made this card 6 inches and it really is not overwhelming.

My sister loves purple and black so this will A PERFECT FIT! lol
The front of the boot has 3 layers and the back of the boot has 2 layers so it can stand up and be shown off. I used some Recollections purple roses and sheer purple ribbon. I also added some black bling down the side.

The sentiment was inspired by "My Crafty Spot" but I couldnt find where to buy them on the website? So I changed the sentiment a bit by adding "Beautiful" It is also really small, it is 1 inch by 1 inch using Microsoft Word fonts. There is some crem lace on top and on the bottom.

So here are the two cards...Please help me decide "WHICH" card to send? Im thinking the boot but I also love the 5 x 5 shaker? Maybe both??? Help!

Thanks for helping and stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

Witches Brew With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, It's Wednesday and today I'm sharing a new card that I really loved making for Cheery Lynn Designs! The colors are inspired by this week's challenge "Orange and Black" I started off wanting to use "Halloween Set 2" I die cut the black cat and the witches cauldron in black cardstock. I then cut the cauldron again in orange to use it for the brew. The bubbles and wand were also cut in orange and I placed orange stickles on top to give it a glitter shine. I left the moon plain orange cardstock.

I printed up the sentiment label on the computer using microsoft word and die cut it out with "Pierced Stacker #4" I really love this die cut because it is perfect for so many of my projects. I traced the inside with a black marker.

On the top edges and the bottom edge I used "Border Carnivale" It is such an elegant border. The bottom corner sentiment is a pre-made circle that I have had for years.

So here is my favorite part of this card....THE BOOK! The die cut is also part of the "Halloween Set 2" and I die cut it out 3 times making it smaller and smaller. It is really easy because the lines are there for you to cut. I then chalked the edges with black and last measured the size of the book and printed the "Hocus Pocus" song "Come Little Children" lyrics with a fun font. Unfortunately, now I cant get the song out of my head! LOL

A few pop dots under the sentiments, moon, cat cauldron, and between the book pages. I also placed a bit of twine in the center of the book and also a tiny bow on the cat.
