Nautical Birthday!

Hi
Today, I'm sharing with you an old Mojo Monday sketch #403, I tend to print all the Mojo Monday sketches up every week. Sometimes the week seems to get away from me so I don't end up making the card for the week, but I save the sketch for a later day. Well this past Monday, I finally made this card and mailed it out the same day to my Uncle who lives in Florida. His birthday was yesterday....
Happy Birthday!

I kept it basic red, white and blue colors and using nautical papers. No flowers, pearls, or ribbon for this man card. LOL I did make it a shaker card :) The happy birthday stamp is from Verve. I really love the font, so you will see this stamp at least one more time!

I'm starting to get short on my little beads! Oh no! Need to find some more soon!

The super great sketch! Thx Julee!

Have a great day!

Pop Up - Gingerbread House With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back again this Wednesday to share with you another card using some of the New Releases from Cheery Lynn Designs! I know it is August but its never too early to start on those Holiday and Christmas cards. Especially, for loved ones. This card is all about the Gingerbread Family and the Gingerbread House. I also added some older Snowflowers on the outside and new Snowflake Set 1 inside.

Now most of the cards that we share here on Cheery Lynn Designs are the outside of the card, however I wanted to show you how the Gingerbread House can look as a pop up card inside. In the background, are the new Snowflake Set 1 with one more gingerbread man. The Oval Stitch has plenty of room for your personal sentiments. I also placed an Oval on the front for my stamped sentiment.

Here you can see the pop up off the back of the cardstock. Lots of tutorials out there but leave me a comment below and I can send you instructions, if you are interested. I have seen a gingerbread house pop up card in the past....don't be overwhelmed you can make it yourself very easily too!

Halloween Graveyard

Hi, Welcome back to yet another new Halloween card! I sure am in the mood for making them....wish the weather was October cool too! I was browsing pinterest and see a cute vintage Halloween card that gave me ideas for the colors. It reminded me of the steampunk card that I recently made for Cheery Lynn Designs. All the diecuts here are from Cheery Lynn Designs New Release, except for the Martha Stewart Fence Punch and the stitched hills from Lawn Fawn.

Years ago when I made several scrapbooking layouts, I submitted handmade gravestones to Creating Keepsakes and it was published. I still have those fonts on my computer so that is what I used today.

The 5 x 6 card has tiny pop dots under some of the diecuts , but in general it is pretty flat.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a spookactular week!

Peaches and Cream With The Shabby Tea Room #257

Hi Shabby Girls!
Welcome back to another fun challenge with The Shabby Tea Room #257. This weeks sponser is Crafty Secrets and I used their digital stamps Garden Memories. Let me tell you...I have really have never played with digital images before The Shabby Tea Room. However, I love them now because not only can you use them over and over again but you can make them any size you want! Have to love that!
Here you can see how I used the same image 3 times for my cake. Once in 2.5 inches, once in 2 inches and once in 1.5 inches, then printed on my orange cardstock. I also used the elegant "Garden Notes" in 2.5 inches.

I added orange flowers from Recollections and Orange Ribbon and a bow. Lots of pearls, Martha Stewart Punch and Cheery Lynn Diecuts for the mini butterflies and barcelona square.

I layered the circles with pearls on the edges and pop dots in between, topped with butterflies.

Here is the wonderful "Shabby Tea Room"  photo inspiration # 257

Halloween Castle

Hi, I'm back today sharing another Halloween shaker card that I made using lots of Cheery Lynn Designs diecuts. I don't use purple a lot, but this card couldn't use anything else...
Loved the bat paper from Recollections.

I used the castle edge square for the shaker of my card. I figured it would be perfect for the haunted house in the center. Clear and purple beads are in the center.

I used some sheer black ribbon and embossed with white ink the sentiment. The Haunted house, spiders and spider web are part of the July new release from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Had fun making this card and cant wait to mail it to my sister this October!
She LOVES Halloween.

Mummy

Hello everyone!
Today Im sharing a new card that I whipped up this morning for this week's Viva La Verve July #5
The moment I seen the sketch I thought of a mummy card. Is it too early to start making Halloween cards? I LOVE making them and well lately I have been making a few...more coming soon!
So this is my take, so easy to make and super fast too! I have never made one before thinking it was too time consuming...nope...mummy wrong!

The stamped splats are from Prima and the mummy image is from the internet. I used microsoft word for my round "happy halloween" sentiment.

I finished the card with a few wiggly eyes.

The awesome sketch for my inspiration! Thank you Jen!

Have a great day!

G'Day Love With Cheery Lynn Designs

G'Day Love!
It's Lisa back this week with another New Release Diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs!
 It's Kaptain Kangaroo!
The name of the diecut takes me back to my child time. I remember watching Captain Kangaroo on Saturday mornings. Such a great memory and blast from the past. When I was thinking about what I wanted to make with him, I thought about so many different backgrounds. Suddenly, I thought of one of my favorite movies from years ago, Crocodile Dundee and his love for his country. It then became about love and hearts. I used two of the smaller and one of the largest heart from Two of Hearts. I diecut it in red and Kraft paper and cut the inside of the red out and placed it on top of the Kraft paper. I stamped Love on the bottom corner heart and added little white dots on the edges.

There are two Ivy Corner Flourishes in opposite corners and in the center behind the Kangaroo is a Priscilla Doily. Love it! Last but not least I added little flowers from Miniature Rose with little pearls in the centers.

I cut the Kaptain Kangaroo out once in Kraft and one in red cardstock. I used the G'day for the inside and I used white cardstock for his ears and black cardsock for his eyes and colored his nose with a black copic.

Thankful For You With Cheery Lynn Designs

Hi, Its Lisa back again sharing more of the New Release by Cheery Lynn Designs
Today, I'm sharing Tom the Turkey! It truly is a beautiful diecut with amazing details. So originally, I colored the turkey with copic markers and well since I'm not a great at coloring it was a disaster! So THANKFULLY (pun intended LOL) you can be like me and still get a fantastic looking turkey!

I diecut the turkey once in Kraft cardstock and once in brown cardstock. I fussy cut out the brown pieces that I wanted to highlight and glued them to the top of the Kraft. I then diecut just a piece of red and yellow for the feet and beak then layered them on top. Easy and pretty fast! I chalked the edges of the Kraft and Tom is ready to go!

The base of the Kraft card is 5 x6 and I cut, chalked and then embossed another piece of Kraft 4.5 x 5.5 in the background. For the Birch tree with Cute Critters, I used the same brown cardstock as Tom the Turkey. I diecut 3 different color strips, red, orange, and yellow of Flourish Leaf Set. I then cut the leaves off and placed throughout the tree. You will have leftovers but you can always save them for another autumn card. :) The New Grass Border 2 was cut twice in yellow and placed on the bottom. I stamped my sentiment and diecut it out with Pierced Stacker #4 with chalking on the edges. I used the little owl and the squirrel to finish this Thankful Card to a friend or loved one!

A few pop dots underneath, but ready to mailed in a regular envelope...
