Cheery Lynn Designs DT Call

Hello my scrappy friends!
Tonight, Im sharing with you another brand new card made for Cheery Lynn Designs DT Call! Im so excited to try to be part of the team. Every card convention here in Arizona, Im able to see all the beautiful diecuts from Cheery Lynn. I will tell you that for those of you that dont have any yet, it is a for sure must have for all your cardmaking and scrapbooking layouts. They are so delicate and the  telfon coating makes the diecut cut your paper out perfect everytime! So this is my entry using 6 beautiful diecuts from Cheery Lynn. I love the color green when it comes to cards because it feels so warm and soothing to me. I guess you can say like nature. So that was the color that called to me tonight for my entry. Wish me luck!

Here is a side view and as you can see the inside I used the border carnivale and I also used it in green on the left side of the card in front. The butterfly I diecut out and then I fussy cut the green patterned paper for the bottom to give it more of a 3D effect. (PS I had these before the angel wings)  I also did the same to the birdcage. These papers I have used in the past and these are the leftovers. Im a little sad now....The Italian Flourish happens to be one of my personal favorites. I just cut it in half and placed half on top of the card and the other half on the bottom of the card. You know how you image a card to look like and then it takes a complete turn around? Well, that is what happened here....but im happy with the results. :)

Here is the 3D view as you can see the flowers, the butterfly, the birds, the birdcage, the ribbon and even my favorite new little stamp "just a little note" pops off the card. It is still easy to mail in a larger bubble envelope which is how I mail mine out.  It also protects your project very well across the states.

A closer view of the butterfly, leaves and roses. I had some leftover pastel green pearls and it was perfect to add to my butterfly and birdcage.

Even a bit closer.... just love the miniature roses for many of my cards. Hoping to get the larger rose diecuts in the near future!

Love Always

Good Morning!
Hope everyone is well....unlike myself I have been sick for several days now. I started feeling sick on Thursday evening. I went to work on Friday feeling a bit worse and I was lucky enough that they sent me home. When I got home, I went right to bed and slept on and off for the next 9 hours! Feeling chilled and feverish...yes I got the flu! First time in many years....also the first time in many years I had the flu shot that was mandatory at the hospital. Nice right!? Lots of good that helped me.... Meanwhile here it is Tuesday and I still feel sick....now it is in my throat and nose. Will it ever end?? Ok Im done venting....
So sharing a new card that I made for Mojo Monday # 383. It is pretty pink and was pretty easy and fast to make. So many cards that I make are busy busy busy. So I tried to make this card simple with less layers. The title was made using the computer and it is how I sign my cards to my children and all my family.

I wanted to use one giant flower for the circle image and even though Im not a pinky girl, it seems so many of the cards I make for friends and family love it. I forgot I had some pink bling...you know the stash that you bought a while back and somehow seems to get forgotten? Well, here is my example of  forgotten bling! lol

As I look at the kraft cardstock in the background, I probably should have embossed it or something? Oh well, too late now. I added little pink stickles in the corners.

Here is a peek on the inside. Pretty easy just layering of punches. The sad part....my punch broke :( So does anyone know how I can get it fixed or replaced? It is one of my favorite punches from Martha Stewart and it is also the second one I have replaced.... Thx

So here is the beautiful sketch from Julee...Thx!

Hope you have a wonderful day and stay warm and well!

Just A Little Note

Hello everyone!
Can you believe it is already Feb? Wow!!
Today I'm sharing with you a card using a fabulous sketch from Cardabilities #116. This is my first time checking out the sketches there and wow is there some beautiful sketches and also amazing talent! Here is my interpretation of the sketch (bottom of the post) I wanted to use kraft paper and a bit of burlap on this card. I diecut out the heart and crimped it then punched tiny holes along the edges.

I then layered a smaller heart cut with burlap on top. There is a bow made with cord on top. Some of the flowers were made with bitty blossoms and some made with miniature roses from cheery lynn. 3 of the them were store bought at my local Michael's in the dollar bins. Can you tell which is which? lol

I layered the flowers down first with greenery leaves in between from cheery lynn. Lately I have been using them a lot. They are just the right size for cards. The swirly spray is a diecut from memory box. I used it once in kraft and then the peach on top.

One of my favorite parts of this card is my new stamp that I bought on clearance last week at Joann's for i think 2 dollars? I just love the wave to it and i just fussy cut it out and curled it a bit and glued it down in two spots. I also added a few green pearls that I have leftover from a project I while ago. The paper was stamped in the background and the heart diecuts are from Heartfelt Creations.

So here is the beautiful sketch! It is perfect for this month!

50 Shades Of Grey

Hi everyone,
Today Im sharing a card that I made last night, inspired by the 50 Shades of Grey from OPI.
I actually havent read the books, but my sister has and she says they are pretty steamy!!! I know the movie is also coming out soon....so im debating to read the books first and then see the movie or just watch the movie? Hummmm....
The sketch is from this weeks mojo monday # 382. Thank you!
I also loved how the double layering of hearts looked on a previous card of mine so I did it again for this weeks Cheery Lynn Designs Anything Goes #169

Lots of diecuts from Cheery Lynn, Spellbinders and Our Daily Bread.

I really love the banner with the cute bows on the end, also the tiny stamps that go perfect with it. These are my first of hopefully many Our Daily Bread collection!

I didnt make it tall and skinny, but I did try my best to follow the sketch!

Sweethearts

Hello my scrappy friends!
I have been wanting to make a new card for Cherry Lynn Blog for the past two weeks and everytime I try to sit down to make it... something comes up and I wasnt able to finish... :(
Today I finally.....finished a card inspired by this week's Mojo Monday # 381 and sweethearts from Cheery Lynn Challenge #168. No title on the front of the card...kind of rare for me...but I love it just this way.

It really a bit lighter pastels in real life...im still loving shabby chic.

A closer view....I layered the doily then pop dots with the larger pink heart then another pop dot and the smaller white heart on top. All the flowers are made with the miniature rose diecut.

Diecuts used:

DL 128 Two Of Hearts
B178 Flourish Leaf Strip
B152 Miniature Rose
DL 103 Italian Flourish

Here is this week's fabulous sketch for my inspiration!

Disney Elsa Birthday Card

Good Evening everyone!
Tonight Im sharing a card that I made for a girlfriends little girl. Every year I make her a birthday day card that my friend places in a shadow box for display to give to her daughter someday.
This year it is all about Elsa from the Disney Frozen. I think all little girls love the movie. Im not a great colorer or even drawer, so I have been looking for the perfect Elsa picture.
Finally I seen it on Friday with my girlfriend at the local store. It is part of a Disney Elsa valentine set. Perfect!

A side view. This is a 5 x5 card with lots of blues!
I had a little bit of pom pom left for the bottom...I thought it was great for snowballs. :)

I used lots of spellbinders diecuts and the snowflakes are from cheery lynn.
I also added pearls from a stringer throughout.

Inside view of the bottom left hand corner is more Elsa!

Love the icicles from Spellbinders! I also embossed all the blue paper...

Congrats!

Hello my scrappy friends!
Today I made a new card for my daughter and her fiance. It is a card way overdue, but now it will be a total surprise to her and him. I used the Mojo Monday #380 sketch and then I added the congrats below with a typewriter and paper. The background paper is embossed brick and the other pieces are scraps from DT in the past. I choose these colors because the wedding theme is to be a vintage-country. Last night my daughter and I were thinking of colors and I told her to talk to her fiance....but we started to had towards whites, creams, beige, taupe, and browns?  What do you think?

I added some ribbon, lace, pearls and of course flowers!

Here is the actual finished card and the date he proposed to her....
The typewriter is a spellbinder diecut and the white leaves are from Cheery Lynn

A closer view....

Here is this weeks fabulous sketch by Teresa...Thank You!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

S.W.A.K. Thank You!

Happy Saturday everyone!
I was looking at all my Christmas decor today and Im sad that the season is over... We haven't taken down anything yet and I was debating if I should tomorrow or next weekend? My hubby says leave it up till July! lol I have lots of red in my christmas collection, since it is my favorite color. So today I wanted to make a red card and enter it in Cherry Lynn Designs Blog Challenge #165 this, Thank You! I made this card for my mother who sent my children and myself some wonderful Christmas cards and she sent me some Lamer for my skin! Totally love the smell and the way it feels on your face.  My mother loves cats, so I bought this stamp a while ago to use it for a card for her. Of course, since it is my mother, I wanted to seal it with a kiss or two!

I was thinking about making roses, but I think Im a bit rosed out lately. So that is what is so great about Cheery Lynn's diecuts you can make other flowers with them too!

I added pearls in the center of the flowers.
I also used the smaller of the swak diecut for the outside.
I was also thinking outside of the box! lol Placing kitties in the birdcage instead of birds!

Here is the inside with the larger swak and love the lips!

I also wanted to add some hearts for I do love my mother so much!

Here are the diecuts from Cheery Lynn that I used today:

DL 128 Two of Hearts
B198 Bird Cage
B374 Sealed with a Kiss
DL102 French Pastry
B241 Rose Leaf Strip
B152 Miniature Rose

PS I would LOVE to design again with Cheery Lynn!
(Forgot to add it behind my name) Oops!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks! Mojo Monday #378

Happy Holiday everyone!
I hope you are having a great holiday season with family and friends.
Today, Im sharing with a new card made for this week's Mojo Monday #378.
A beautiful sketch as always and lots of layers on my card. I originally was planning on making a
New Years Eve card, however it took a turn a twist into more of a country shabby look? I dont have any thank you cards in my stash, so I figured I sure could use some quickly.

The papers are from Donna Salazar, I have had them for a while now.
They match up so nicely!

The wooden clock is part of my stash, sorry I dont remember who made it :(
Added ribbon and pearls....but no flowers! lol
I fussy cut some extra butterflies from an extra patterned paper and placed pop dots behind them.

I used the same paper in the front for the inside too....it is just beautiful!

Here is wonderful sketch this week!
LOVE!
