Butterfly Kisses For You *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

Good Morning everybody! I was so lucky to win the Easter Challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs last month and to my surprise I was asked to Guest Design for Cheery Lynn for the month of April. :) So here is my first card for the month using lots of Cheery Lynn products. I started buying them last year and I'm slowly building up a collection...I sure do love them because they are so delicate and really cut so nice. It is really hard to pick which ones I want because I want them all! This card was inspired by today's challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs Blog "Nature" and springtime. I bought this paper years ago and it has been sitting around for quite some time...but it was perfect for today's card. Purples, blues, yellows and white really made me think of spring.

So, I used 5 different Cheery Lynn diecuts on this card.
DL113 Exotic Butterflies Small #2
The card is 5 x 6 inches and I cut the edge with my MS punch, I have been looking for new edges to my standard 5 x 6 inch cards and I love the look of using the punches. Plus it works so great with all the diecuts too. The little tag I printed up on the computer with purple ink.

Here you can see a closer view of all the beautiful diecuts. All the flowers are part of the patterned paper and I just fussy cut them out and layered them throughout. I also added little pearls on the butterflies, tag and on the top left hand corner.

I hope you feel the warm spring coming your way soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Wednesday's *Missing You...*

So today for Heartfelt Wednesday, I wanted to share with you a very special layout that I made in memory of my daughter's loss of her boyfriend last month. This is a photo of Nick and Erica a few months back and it is one of very few photos I have of them together. They looked so happy together and it still is a great loss to everyone who knew and loved him. So I titled the layout "Missing You" since that is how we all feel.... The beautiful papers are from Heartfelt Creations called "posy patch" and they are just lovely. I fussy cut out lots of flowers and I added lots of diecuts.

Here you can see the "posy patch" paper of the bird and flowers. There are great stamps if you want to color the bird and flowers a different color. However, I wanted to use the papers to show the beautiful pre-made colors for you. Behind the bird is a diecut called "timeless amour" it is a beautiful heart that is a must have in your collection for all kinds of occasions.

The sentiment is a stamp from "classic messages" I just love the font and I layered it with "fancy framed tags two"...the bling is from ZVA and you can also buy it through Heartfelt Creations.

I framed the photo in teal and then used "romantic rectangles" in black cardstock. You can also see I stamped flowers in teal for a bit of contrast. There are "vintage floret" flowers stamped on the "posy patch" paper and I added gala glitz in the centers.

It has been a really long time since I last made a 12 x 12 layout because I have seemed to have lost my mojo for them for a while....however, I am so glad it came back to make this photo special.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by Heartfelt Creations Blog for new projects from our DT.

Sweet Baby *Mojo Monday #287*

Hi, this morning I wanted to make a new card for a friend of mine who is going to be a grandmother...wow! Does our children grow up fast or what? So this past weekend was the baby shower and unfortunately I wasn't able to go but I wanted to make a card for her daughter and send a gift. She is planning to have a boy...however, I started to make a blue card and ended up neutral.

This card sketch is from today's Mojo Monday #287. It is already the beginning of April....spring is around the corner for everyone...I'm lucky it get it early here in Arizona :) The papers are from Anna Griffin and they are so soft and beautiful for a baby card. The sentiment is from Verve stamps called "treasured words" I love all the different cards you can make with just one wonderful stamp set.

I couldn't help myself and add lots and lots of pearls throughout. The sentiment is stamped on "lacey circles" and the side matching oval is "lacey ovals". I had literally one cream flower left from a Prima set and I added one more pearl in the center.

Here is a side view and I'm working on the inside now....

The fabulous sketch for this week...Thank You Julee!

Have a great Monday!

Happy Easter!

Well, I sure hope everyone is having a nice Easter with family and friends. I usually cook dinner early so we can nibble all day...except this year my daughter isnt coming over till later and my other daughter has to work. :( So I decided to make dinner later....also because silly me put myself on call at work till 6pm...duh??? I didnt even realize it was Easter....Oh well, so far I have been lucky and not called into work...one more hour left...lol In the meantime, since I didnt want to start dinner and get called in...I decided to make one more Easter card for the year. I think I will give it to my daughter who cant be with us tonight...
You know I really didnt have any ideas on what I wanted to make today...i just kind of threw all this pieces together and I used some super old patterned paper that I totally forgot about....you know what I mean? lol

It is a 5 x 5 inch card and I used lots of diecuts throughout. The bunny is a coloring book image that I found online and attempted to color it with copics...guess it will have to do...

I added pearls around the image and liquid pearls on the egg and around the sentiment. The flowers are part of my old stash and I just added rhinestone brads in the centers. I did use liquid applique for the bunny tail....I just love that stuff!

Well, have a great rest of the day....Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter *Easel Card*

Good Morning and Happy Easter Weekend! This week has been super busy at work and I was trying to work on this week's Mojo Monday #286 sketch. Im in the spring mood and with easter right around the corner...I wanted to make another bunny card with eggs. I looked around my scraproom to see what I had and then I remembered these foam pieces that I bought years ago from Michael's. It came in a big foam box so I have lots of them left. I thought why not use some more up? I added little flowers to the top of the foam using my "punch bunch" and then added liquid pearls in the centers.

So this is my First Easel card. I have always liked the way they looked but never gave it a whirl....I cant believe how really easy they are to make? This card is a 5 x 5 card. I also used lots of punches for the grass, lace and fence. The diecut sentiment was made on the computer using 2 fonts and the background tree is from "memory box" called "swirly tree".

I basically did the inside like the front to match and I used a bigger "labels twenty" for writing inside too. Don't forget to use some foam underneath for the card to stand up.

Here is a closer view of the foam pieces, simple and yet adorable. All the patterned paper is from Martha Stewart.

Here is the choices of sketches for this week Mojo Monday...the ideas are endless.

Thanks for stopping by....
Have a great day and Happy Easter!

Heartfelt Wednesday's...Beyond The Horizon....Hope Awaits

So today, I wanted to share my zodiac sign with you. I'm a cancer, I was born July 20th...and all of us crabs love the water. This card reflects my love for the water....and it is this week's project for Heartfelt Creations. I loved the stamped image and once again like the week before I wanted to focus on the beauty of the stamp. I did color it a bit with copic markers but it was not too bad...especially since I can't color to well! I only used 3 markers....one for the water and 2 for the wood/boat.

I have had these swirls from my designing with Donna Salazar Designs and I thought they would go great with the whole water scene. I added the dots on top of the chipboard using the leftover pieces of punched cardstock. The sentiment was printed on the computer on the 2nd smallest lacey circle, the font is called "beachtype medium". Perfect!

With a little bit of fish netting and more diecuts from spellbinders...this card is ready to go.
I get my strength from the water and it inspires me...

Hope you are inspired too! Be sure to check out more creations at the Heartfelt Creations Blog!
Have a great week....xoxo

Shabby Birthday Cake *TSTR Week #159 Lovely Layers*

Well, it is Monday and it is my last day off till next weekend. I had another fabulous 4 day weekend and I cant believe it is already coming to an end. :( So this morning, I was looking at the newest challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room #159 Lovely Layers and I seen such a beautiful sketch and of course the beautiful inspirational photo of a shabby cake. Of course, you can never have too many birthday cards right? Once again, I made another shabby chic pink birthday card. Here is the inspirational photo of the shabby cake this week. Doesn't it look yummy and yet cuddly too?

Here is my interpretation using the sketch below. I used cream, white and pinks. I layered it 10 times in some places...whew....I thought I would never stop! I really enjoyed making the cake. It was cut at 2.5 inches on my cricut using "sweet treats" and then I just glued down the lace in pieces. I recently used a strand of pearls on another card and I figured it would go great with a shabby cake. So I wrapped it around the large "lacey circle" and around the sentiment.

I seem to using quite a bit of pink patterned paper...the supply is getting low...lol So I thought I would emboss the cardstock in the background. I think it is my favorite embossing template because I tend to use it quite a bit. The other patterned papers are from K & Company "luxury stack".

Here is a closer view of the shabby cake...I also used my "Bitty Blossoms" for the tiny flowers in the matching cardstock. In the background, I used "Italian Flourish" from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Once again, I printed the sentiment from my computer on white cardstock and used "Fancy Framed Tags Two" by spellbinders. I added pearls around the sentiment to match the larger circle. The two larger Prima flowers were from my stash of old but beautiful leftovers.

Here is the beautiful sketch! Don't you love all the lovely layers! I sure do!
Thank you soooo much!

Thanks for stopping by today...see you soon!

A Love Story Never Ends

Hello, this weekend is pretty busy for me crafting away. I have been working on DT work for Heartfelt Creations and some other GDT work for another Manufacturer too...be sure to come back for the month of April... :) In between all of that I needed to make a card for a young couple getting married in April...so I was looking around on pinterest to get some ideas quickly. I ran across this beautiful card made by Teneale Williams. Thank You!! I loved the colors and the simplicity yet elegant look to her card. I used a heart template from my cricut to make the base of the heart and added little leaves punched with my bunch punch. The doves and banner are part of Donna Salazar's "mixd media elements" diecuts. I just added pearls for the eyes and around the whole card. The sentiment was printed from the computer called "channel".

I love making either 5 x 6 or 5x 5 cards, but I was also getting a little tired of the same basic look. So to change it up a bit I have been punching them with Martha Stewart around the page punches. I liked this particular one for a wedding...so elegant! The inside cuts are 5.25 x 3.75 and I just took another piece of white cardstock and embossed it with my cuttlebug. The whole card took about 20 minutes to make...love when that happens!

Here is a closer view of love birds and heart wreath. You can really see the embossed paper better here and what is a card without pearls....wait??? no flowers? lol

Heartfelt Wednesday's *I Thank God*

Hello my friends...have you ever thought about your friends and cant believe how lucky you are to have a true friend who doesn't care what you say or do and loves you no matter what? Well, this sentiment was perfect to thank that very person in your life. When I think of God, I think of peaceful serene things. This stamp from the new collection from Heartfelt Creations "Sweet Serenity" was a perfect match to the old sentiment from Heartfelt Creations "Inspire Me Sentiments

I have been making for a long time now cards for Heartfelt Creations with lots of flowers. I really didn't think this card needed any flowers because I really wanted to focus on the beautiful stamped image and sentiment. If you notice I didn't even use any patterned paper either...just diecuts and punches.

So I was going to use my liquid pearls in white for the framing of the image but then I looked in my ribbons and found the string of pearls. I used clear glue to hold them down. I sure like the look, plus it was super fast....I will be doing that more often. :)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to Thank God for your dear ones in your life...

Happy St Patrick's Day!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day! I tend to use green quite a bit for many cards and layouts so I thought why not make a card today using that color once again! I used my scrap papers and cardsock. The beautiful dark green shamrock is a diecut by Cheery Lynn Designs called "2 of hearts". I also used some foam stickers (glittery) that I have had for years.... The sentiment is part of a 3 small stamp set that I bought in the dollar section at Joann's.

The distressed leaves are from Heartfelt Creations...but they are retired now....sorry. I had some swirl felt that I just thought I would use up too...found that at the dollar store...you just never know what you will find there....

I tried to layer 3 pieces of ribbon together and added a green pearl in the center....also on the bottom right hand corner. The card is a 5 x 6 inch card and I used the same punch that I used recently on the Easter Chocolate card....I really love the shape.

Well, gotta go, off to celebrate St Patty's Day! Be safe and have fun!
