Bridal Shower Card #3

Hi
Im back again with another card for the bridal shower....if you notice they are all in blues... :)
This card is a basic dress template and I ran it through my NEW cuttlebug! Woo Hoo! I had no idea it was a must have??? I love how it embosses so fabulous! So on the dress I embossed in D'Vine and the background blue is Swiss Dots. I added some flowers of course and I also made my FIRST hanger...I need a bit more practice...There are also elegant pearls on the top. I just used the basic format I already had...since its FAUX again....I was debating weather I should have put all the inside information on an inside of the card....well, its a general design...the point is really to show the embossing and dress template....
Here is a close-up shot of the embossing, flowers, pearls and hanger...
Thanks for stopping by....I appreciate any feedback or changes....Hugs!

So this week's challenge #2 is for you to make a THANK YOU card in a CIRCLE!
Here is my Thanks You circle card for the week! Its my FIRST CIRCLE CARD....so fun!

Card from the side:

This is my very FIRST circle card! I was super worried how I was going to pull it off because I dont own a die cutter that makes amazing circle cards. Then, as I was looking through my cricut cartridges...I realized Joys of the Season has a christmas bulb on it and well I just cut off the bulb from the top and presto! Instant circle card! I also used George for the circles and tag....my favorite cricut guy. In addition, I used Serenade for the scalloped circles and ferns. I added ribbon and a doily to give this card a fresh off the farm look. The strawberries I found on line clip art and added stickles in green and black...then with pop dots under them...this card was complete!
So come on over to this week's Cricut 360 Challenge #2 for some more great fun, inspiration and a chance to win a PRIZE! Here is the PRIZE for this week:
See you over there!

Just wanted to say "Boo!"

Hi Everyone,
I know its not Halloween, but I wanted to share my FIRST side step card (Link) Thank You Beate!... that I made today. I really had a fun time making it...lots of tiny details...a bit tedious...but I'm so happy with the ending result! This card is for someone special in my life and I really hope two things? One she loves it...and two she doesn't see it here? I don't know if she follows me on my blog? Well, even if she does...it still will be a surprise because the photos don't give it much justice....its really glittery! I used my Cricut for everything except the card base and the witch....I used Happy Hauntings...
Here is the front view:
Here it is a bit open to see the steps:
I even used string on the bottom so when it opens it will stay perfectly in place.
Here is the back with the journaling...sorry its private...but you get the idea....:)
Hope you try your FIRST side step card too! Its super fun!
Thanks for stopping by....

Cricut 360 Challenge #1

Hello and Come Join Us,
Today is the day we at Cricut 360 are having our first challenge! YAY!
The challenge is to make an invitation of any kind with any Cricut cartridge. The PRIZE this week will be a 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey - Life of the Party and the winner will be picked using random.org
With summer here, there are many parties and its a perfect time to make an invitation.
So get thinking and join us over at Cricut 360.
Here is my invitation card for inspiration:

I used only one cricut cartridge....its my favorite...george! I love george because it has basic shapes and you can make anything you want with basic shapes! It took me less than an hour to make this bright summer card. The beach ball is a 2 inch round circle with 2 inch moon shapes for the colors of the ball and a 3/4 inch small circle for the center, the bucket is a 3 inch square, the rim of the bucket is a 4 inch rectangle cut in half- long ways, the stars are 1.5 and 1 inch, the bucket handle is a 4 inch silhouette circle, the sand is rectangles x 2 and free hand cut waves, and the crab is 2 inch oval circle for the body and 1.5 inch oval for the claws with some free hand curves, I added moving eyes and another small moon for the mouth. There is also a sun on george, but I added a foam sun for a different texture. Pretty easy! My kind of scrapping!
So come on over and share your creations over at Cricut 360! Challenge #1 and get more inspiration from our fabulous DT!
Thanks for stopping by!

Friendly Fishes

This layout was part of a game over at Pammy's Ideas for Scrapbookers. It was so super fun! I have been using my cricut a lot to make my own embellishments. I also have been using bright fun colors too! It seems like the perfect time of the year for them, but especially for those fun beach or pool layouts.
So to make the fishes: I just used ovals and leaves....lol simple! The sun is two different size circles...distressed and triangles under the big circle....simple too! I also used buttons for bubbles...
Cricut Cartridges: George, Home Accents, Zooballoo, Plantin Schoolbook and Serenade
Hope you enjoy!

Happy 21st Birthday Card

I made another card today for my son's Best Friend's 21st birthday today! Happy Birthday kid!
Well, he is a kid to me....lol...cant believe he is 21! Wow! My twin sons turn 21 in less than 2 weeks, but they cant go out to celebrate at the bar with Sean tonight...oh well, soon!
I seen this beer mug on-line clip art....so super cute! I just printed it up...added stickles in yellow and white pearls for the froth. I put pop dots behind the beer to give it a 3D look. The paper is just white cardstock and I printed Happy 21st Birthday! Over and over again...pretty easy to make your own paper.
Here is the front view: Its a 6 x 6 Card
Here is the fun inside: I just used my George Cartridge for the bubble beer sayings and also for the balloons.
A little closer:
I also just made the same beers as the front of the card and reversed it so the back is like the front...360 degrees when it pops up! The wire is 24 gauge and I just glued them between two yellow pieces of cardstock. The slider card is just like the recent one I made...you can find it here with the link to make it too!
Closer look of the balloons, beers and wire...

I signed it after the photos and slipped some $$$ for a few BEERS on Me!

Bridal Shower Card #2

Ok, this is the last card Im planning on doing today! I tried to get good sunlight but, the colors are kind of off? Well, they are like a yellow-orange and blue. It is really the design I was looking for, the colors can be changed....so while I was trying to get the colors the way I see them, I started to play with the hue and made many different colors of the same card for fun!
This first one is the true original! Its a 6 x 6 Card...

Pink and Green....like watermelon! YUM!
Orange and Teal...so beachy!
Purple and Lime Green....talk about total contrast! But it works!
Aqua and Red....More beachy colors!
Yellow and Purple...Im thinking sunshine!
Again, Any comments or thoughts would be very appreciated! Thanks for looking!

Here is one great suggestion from Mali! Thank You!
Flipping it....
Better? Thinking Yes!

Bridal Shower Card #1

So I'm on this Pop-Up card craze lately! I just cant seem to stop now! lol
I heard back about the bridal shower invitations and colors, so I thought I would make some cards to put on my post for her to get an idea of what she might like? Everything can be tweaked to meet her expectations.... :0)
So here is one card out of approximately 5 cards that I have sketched up for her to look at through my blog since we live thousands of miles away. It seems to be the fastest way to get a sneak peek of what I was kind-of thinking?
This first design has a simple front, I wanted to use prima pearls, but right now I don't have any in white..so to get an idea of what I was thinking I just used pearl stickles. I decided to use the Martha Stewart Arch Punch, since it is a nice punch that's makes me think of wedding arches. I used Prima flowers and just placed a basic "Your Invited" on the front of the card. Simple.

Now for the inside of the card: I have seen these amazing pop-up cards that say like "thank you", "i love you" "happy birthday" and etc... So I thought I can do this! I takes a little patience again but not nearly as tedious as the Wedding cake card. So I made this template from my computer at home....Tutorial Coming Soon! The inside is NOT as nice as I wanted it to be because I should have used the corner punches to make it perfect, but you get the idea? After all the inside is a faux invitation , just for displaying purposes.

Here it is again in Tiffany colors....
Inside Tiffany Colors
I would appreciate any comments or suggestions to make any of my upcoming bridal shower cards irresistible that any bride-to-be will want to share with their family and friends.
Thank you!
