Harry Winston Style

Hello again!
First, I want to thank everyone who came to my blog for the blog hop yesterday and today! Im so super excited to have so many followers and fabulous comments. Good luck to everyone who met the criteria for the blog hop for your grand package from SCRAP THAT! You will be so excited to receive it as I surely was excited too!

Here is another layout made with some of those fabulous papers from the March kit from SCRAP THAT! Lots of fussy cutting on this layout....but nothing is too much for my mother's photos! My mother loves pastel pink and vintage items, so this was perfect for me to showcase the photos of my mother at the famous Harry Winston store in Las Vegas! Now who doesn't want a diamond from there? LOL I used tiny dollies around the layout and it worked out perfect for the vintage feeling I wanted to give to my wonderful mother!
Here are some closes-ups:

Thanks Harry....your a girl's best friend!

FREE DISNEY

I love Disney and I have had photos from our family trip for years! Someday I will finish the book???? Lol
Meanwhile, here is a great find at your local HOME DEPOT to make some cute fun Disney lo’s FREE!
I happen to be walking in the paint department at HOME DEPOT and Mickey Mouse jumped right out at me….while not literally….but these cute paint color samples happen to be a perfect and fast way to get those mouse ears on your next Disney layout.
You can cut them out but they actually just peel right off the backing making the work twice as easy! So next time you have to go for your man to HOME DEPOT, be sure to pick up your FREE Mickey Mouse’s too… BTW they come in many other colors…
Here is an example on a lo:

Quality Time

Every year we make New Year's Resolutions. One of mine this year is to spend more "quality time" with my daughters. It seems since they have grown we dont get to spend much time together anymore...so I need to make it count more. Here is a lo I did for a steampunk challenge over at scrapbook.com. This is my second steampunk lo ever and I really like how it turned out. Grungy!

Cherish Every Moment...

This lo was inspired by another scrapper PennyLane @ scrapbook.com...thank you! I loved the 4 photos and the two circles with a break in the middle. Instead of using paper in the center, I used paper on the sides and distressed it in the middle. I also stamped a brick wall on the background. Then using my favorite masks from prima I inked on the blue paper. For the circles I used 2 doilies and I made a tissue flower in white (tutorial soon). The butterfly is the last of the set, so I wanted to use it up. The birdcage, the white rose and white pearls are from my leftovers from SCRAP THAT! Also I used some quilling paper for the bottom swirls.
These are photos of Roxy when she went to Prom and instead of individual lo's this 4 photo inspiration was perfect!
TFL!

Have you heard?

Scrap That! Canada's Best Kit Club is looking for 3 Guest Designers to join our team!

Scrap That! kits are unlike any others in Canada. Every month, we create an innovative kit full of carefully selected high-end double sided papers, specialty papers, premium embellishments and specialty items. We also include a collectable signature product, a scrapbook layout sketch and one technique product including instructions and tips on how to use it.

Each candidate will design for a two month term between April and September 2011. At the end of the term we will have a contest and let our members and subscribers vote on which of the three Guest Designers will remain for the rest of 2011!

Each Guest Designer Receives:
1. FREE PRODUCT - Two kits plus the embellishment add-on kit, valued at well over $50 per month
2. FAME & GLORY - Your photo and bio on our blog and our online social community!

What we ask of you:
- You must have a blog and update it regularly each week including posts about projects you’ve used from the kit, design tips etc. We ask that you also have links to our site on your blog and other sites where allowable.
- 4 projects created with the kit and 90% of each project must contain kit contents. 3 of these projects must be layouts and the third a project of choice (lo, card, altered item).
- Post your 4 kit designs in our gallery as well as to one other large gallery site, either Scrapbook.com or TwoPeasinaBucket.com. Postings on these sites must include *Scrap That! Kit* in the title line.
- Projects must be well photographed, cropped and ready to be uploaded on our site (and your blog) the 26th of each month.
- Weekly message board and gallery participation during the two month term is required. This is quite possibly the most important thing! We have started a great online community and our members are of the utmost importance to us, so this is huge.

This competition is open to the US and Canada only. Please e-mail 3-4 of your best layout creations along with the links to your blog and online galleries to layouts@scrapthat.ca by February 11, 2011.
