May Your Spirits Be Bright

Hi everyone!
Today, Im sharing with you a new card made for this week's Mojo Monday #418 Contest sketch. I can't believe it is October already and I thought I sure need to get making more of my holiday cards! This paper is an old one from Martha Stewart and I love the trees and cardinals.  I use so many of the traditional colors for Christmas that I thought I would try some blues and snowflakes instead. :)

The sentiment is from Verve called Bright Spirits. The snowflakes are 2 different sets from Cheery Lynn Designs and I added some twine to the top to bring out some of the red. I made a triple, double looped bow.

I recently ordered some grey ink from Umbrella Crafts. Love how it was a perfect match to the trees.

Here is the great sketch! Thx

Have a great day!
Hugs Lisa

This is so beautiful. Love the colors and those bright pops of red. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!

My friend recently designed a card similar to this for our monthly card day. She used an embossing folder for the trees (all SU!) and highlighted the sides with pale grey copic marker, then for the birds she made shrinky-dinks! We tore white strips to make a ground of snow and tucked in some green die cut twigs. I really love how your card has the blue layered in! So similar, but great personality added! Beautiful!
