Deep Sorrow ;(

Today, I have some very very sad news to share with you... My oldest daughter just found out last night that her ex-boyfriend passed away on her birthday Feb. 18, 2013 at the age of 27. :( They were together for over 3 years almost 4 years and they recently separated before the winter holidays. She is sooo devastated and my heart aches for her during her mourning. I really thought they would marry one day and he would be the father of my first grandchild. They had talked of marriage for a while, but unfortunately they separated before that happened. About 2 weeks ago he tried to make amends with her...however, she was still very hurt from the break-up. He was a super intelligent young man who I believed should have gone to medical school and I believe he was planning to in the fall semester? Like his father. He was an only child and I'm sure his mother and father are just devastated, there are NO words to comfort them. A child is NEVER supposed to go before a parent...so sad and unfair. I'm sure God has his place for him...however, that doesn't ease the pain here on earth. So this morning, I wanted to make a beautiful card to send to his parents to share with their sympathy. I also knew him well over the years and it is a terrible loss to all of us.

I wanted to use the color green and I seem to use it often for sympathy cards. I think the color green and nature seems to feel soothing when we need that in our lives. The lilies and birds are from Heartfelt Creations. I love those little doves and makes me think of heaven where he is now. I also added that little prima angel that I had leftover from my Scrap That GDT Feb kit. There fancy corner diecuts are from Cheery Lynn Designs a I used spellbinders too. There are pearls throughout and a pearl rose button from Tim Holtz.

The sentiment I made using 2 fonts on Microsoft Word for Mac...You can also see here more details of the pearls even on the flowers that also have a shimmer. I really hope they like this card that I made for them for my heart, soul and tears went into making this card. God Bless them during their time of Deep Sorrow...Im still working on the inside...Im trying to find the words...If you have any ideas please help. Thank you!!!

Thanks for listening and I hope your day is wonderful....send some my way :)

That card is sooo incredibly beautiful Lisa and I am so terribly sorry for his parents and the pain your daughter is going through at the moment. When my daughter is sad I so wish that I could take the pain from her and carry her burdens so she doesn't have to but that is the one thing we cannot do for them :) I am so sorry :)x
