This card uses most of this month's release and it really is great for a quick card when your in a hurry.

I just love the roses and with a bit of bling this card is ready to go!

Best Fishes To You!

Hi and welcome back to my blog for a different kind of card from me today!
This card is for a contest at the local Stamp Convention here in AZ on November 3.
All the cards will be donated afterwards...so it is for a good cause. :)
The theme is "under the sea" so this is what I came up with for my thoughts about under the sea.
This is the smallest card I have ever made, it is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.
I chatted with some of my girlfriends who make cards and I guess this is a normal size....but for me it seems tiny? lol

I embossed the teal and blue cardstock and even decided to go with some quilling for the plants.
The kraft cardstock is torn to appear to look like the sand of the bottom of the ocean.
So my son tells me there are no beta fish in the ocean or sea...thanks son....I chose this image and colored it with yellow stickles because it was a pretty fish... :)

I added clear buttons and tiny pearls to represent bubbles. Also the title I found online...I thought it was really cute. The tiny seashell I colored with copic markers and added diamond glaze with more pearls.
I really am hoping that this little card might be one of the 4 winners at the convention and I can win some $$ for shopping....like I really need to do that! lol
Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Wednesday's

Today I decided to make a card using more of the lovely "Vintage Floret Collection"
I tend to go toward greens a lot but the papers have a hint of yellows in them so I wanted to enhance it up a little bit. :)

A side view using smaller pop dots and this time some bling in matching green.

A closer view of those amazing yellow stamped roses and diecut...A total must have!
The "happy birthday" stamp has more to the sentiment but I decided to use part of it.

Hope you enjoyed....short post today...
Be sure to stop by the HC blog and also to see the new DT.

Mojo Monday #264 *Sexy Witch*

Happy Mojo Monday!
Today I wanted to make a new Halloween card but I wanted to try to attempt to color...lol
Here is the sketch for today...just lovely!

Here is my Halloween card with a "Sexy Witch"
I seen this coloring image online and I wanted to make a fun sexy card with it.
So many times I make embellishments and I did add a few today, but the main focus is the adorable and sexy witch... :)

A side view...as you can see I didn't add much pop to this card this week.

A closer view of me trying to color....dont laugh...I really tried...someday I plan on taking the copic marker classes but for now...this is as good as it gets.

Hope you have a great night....

Get Well Soon *Donna Salazar*

Hello again! Its Lisa back with a new card with tutorial!
I have had some family members not feeling so well lately and that was my inspiration for today.
When Im sick I think of chicken soups and those are the colors for today with a bit of country twist.
Using Donna's NEW "chicken wire" stamp it feels like chicken soup is close. LOL
I really like shabby chic and vintage items so this card is a bit of both:)

Here you can see it is a bit 3D as I like most of my cards.

Just love those bitty blossoms and those amazing new chippies by Donna!

So here is how I made this card: Bare with me if some sounds very basic :)
First, take a 12 x12 white cardstock and cut at 5 inches.
Save the rest...Im a big saver anyways....How about you?

Score at 6 inches and fold in half. This is your base and the base of several cards that I make.

Next using the "Chicken Wire" stamp, stamp right in the middle using "Black Mix'd Media Inx"
and "Black Embossing Powder".

Next with the leftover pieces of white cardstock, cut another 5 x 6 piece of paper.
Measure 1 inch inwards and cut out the center.

Cut the corners at an angle and emboss with a diecut, I used
Spellbinders "Parisian Accents" But you can use whatever you have on hand.

Place a piece of ribbon on the bottom just barely under the frame and glue all the frame pieces down.
If you like you can add pop dots instead. Be sure to curl up the inside edges a bit.

Next make 3 yellow flowers using "bitty blossoms" and " GCD botanique papers"
I also cut in the matching yellow paper "lacey circles" and a 1. 5 inch white circle.
Stamp the white circle with "chicken wire" and emboss.
(Not shown, a larger yellow "lacey circle" and a circle kraft cardstock, crimped)
I added it after I took the photo....sorry!

Here are some of the extra supplies and once again that fabulous chippie from Donna!
For my title strips, I used Microsoft Word for Mac and I added tiny dots using a black marker.

Well that is it girlies!
It takes about an hour to make but Im sure it will make your loved one feel much better :)
Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Heartfelt Wednesday's *New Vintage Floret Collection*

Welcome back to another New collection called "Vintage Floret"
The Vintage Floret release is a beautiful collection of ancient luxury. This month’s paper release is similar to the wallpaper of a quaint Parisian café. The textured flower stamps add a quiet delicacy to every project. The typography is a delightful combination of botanical growth and grandmother’s old typewriter stored away in the attic.
There are 5 new PreCut Stamp Sets, one 12x12 Paper Collection, and one beautiful new exclusive Spellbinders die designed for Heartfelt Creations. Leave a comment on the HC blog by October 16th and you will be eligible to win the entire release valued at $134.93 .

I have had this photo of Linda's (owner) daughter Ella since I first started with HC and with this new collection of beautiful papers, stamps and diecuts I was able to make this photo really shine!

Here are a few close ups:
Love the new flowers!

Making your own title with microsoft word for mac and using a fancy tag is great for the budget!

The birdcage is "bird sanctuary" by spellbinders and it can easily be decorated.

Hope you enjoyed today's post and be sure to stop by the Heartfelt Creations Blog for more beautiful projects by the DT and your chance to win this amazing new collection!
Also don't forget to vote for the old and new DT for the upcoming 6 months...

"Jam Packed" With Love

Hello again and hope everyone is having a super Monday!
So, today I am off work and I was waiting to hear if I had jury duty today?
When I called for the second time...I was released...yay!
I really didnt feel like spending my afternoon at the courts but what can one do if you get picked?
Since then I made this card for yet another part of the October card challenge over at sb.com.
This one is for the lift challenge. I have been wanting to make something like this for quite a while.
I seen a really cute card on pinterest made by Cheery's Jubilee Designs with strawberries a long time ago. So between the lift from sb.com and another lift from Cheery's Jubilee it worked out wonderfully because that is another part of the challenge....favorites!

The base of the card is 5x6 inches...seems  to be one of my favorite sizes :)
The gingham purple paper is from Martha Stewart Playful Pink Paper Pad that I had for a really long time...it was on the bottom of my scrap papers...do you all save scraps like me?
The stamped grapes and vines are from Fiskars "Aged To Perfection"
I stamped in black ink on white cardstock and colored the images with green copics and
purple distressing ink. I also used Spellbinders "Labels Twenty-Two" in white and purple with Spellbinders "Fleur De Lis Rectangles" in kraft paper.

The tag and jar were made with my cricut..."George Basic Shapes" and "Country Life"
The green leaves are from an old "Heartfelt Creations" stamp that is retired....sorry :( and I just colored it with the same green copic marker. I inked the edges in the same purple distressing ink and added a few buttons on top and the bottom. There is a little lace ribbon as well as a tripe looped purple bow.
The doily is a tiny one and finished it off with some purple flowers.

As for the title "Jam Packed" it just popped in my head and it was perfect for this card.
Well, I think that will be all the cardmaking for today...?
Have a great rest of the day!

Best Witches

Good Morning!
Well, it is the beginning of a new week and I made another card last night that I wanted to share with you today. It was inspired/lifted from cousley on pinterest. It is also for a few categories on the October Card Challenge over at sb.com. I did lots of embossing to get this card shiny and yet dark and creepy.

Here you can see the true color it is not as orange as the first picture?

A little 3D here but not too much. Using lots of old products today again and the witch is from
"Happy Hauntings" cricut cartidge.

Have a great day and Best Witches!

BOO! Mojo Monday #261

Happy Sunday!
Well, I finally was able to make a new card for this week's Mojo Monday!
Talk about the last minute...I have been wanting to make a card all week and I just couldn't think of colors I wanted to do? I kind of knew I wanted to make a new Halloween card but that was about it...
So here is this week fabulous sketch..thanks!

Here is my vintage Halloween card interpretation. I was planning to cut the edge on the side but then I ended up liking the diecut...it is called inverted scalloped circles. I bought it a long long time ago and never used it yet...I bought it for only 5.00! what a deal!

The stamps are also really old and I haven't used them yet either? Idk Y?
There is no patterned paper used today. I just embossed the polka dot paper and the swirl frame with my cuttlebug and inked it with orange distressing ink.

Look a bit lighter here but it is that bright AZ sun...well at least now the temps are finally coming down to a much more comfortable level. :) I made the flag banner strip with cardstock stripes and finished off the card with lace, ribbon and star buttons.

Hope you have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by...

Purrrrfect! *Donna Salazar*

Hi Welcome back to Donna's Blog!
It's Lisa once again with a layout to share with you.
As you might know, we have been sharing photos with each other for
our "scrapbook circle" between DT members.
Today, I made my first 8.5 x 11 inch layout for Jessy Christopher.
I was a bit scared to work on a smaller palette...but know I love the size! lol
It is an adorable photo of her and her kitty.
I loved the colors in her photo and it was like it was meant to be to
match all of Donna's fabulous papers! Purrrrfect!

Here are some of those amazing purrrrfect flowers!

I just love this branch, I diecut it and then embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a shine.

Here you can see how the corrugated cardboard and flowers pop off the page.

Hope you enjoyed!
Have a wonderful day!

Heartfelt Wednesday's *Lovely*

Its another Heartfelt Wednesday and Im sharing with you another layout using the amazing
"delicate asters collection"...I think these flowers have to be one of my favorites because they are just so beautiful and delicate...hence the name...lol
These purple papers from the "delicate asters" are really gorgeous too!

Here is a closer view of those flowers and leaves.
I used watercolor paper and tim holtz distressed inks.

In the background I used Donna Salazar's "shadow flowers
With a touch of "gala glitz" and bling it really makes this lo shine.

The diecut in the corner is from last month's release called "decorative metal fixtures"
it is just the right size for any corner whether it is a card or a layout.
