Heartfelt Wednesday's *Sunshine For My Soul*

Welcome back to another Heartfelt Wednesday
This week I used more of the new "Delicate Asters Collection" I really love these flowers.
They are literally so delicate and very detailed in real life.
Many of the pieces of patterned paper in the collection are purple and green but as you can see here you can add any color you want to them....I choose yellow and wanted it to represent Sunshine.
My little Roxy is truly one of my sunshines in my life. I actually had an original that I submitted to HC which you can see under this first photo. I had to add something else???? It happened to be little pieces of diecuts around some of the journaling...now Im really happy!

Original...brighter in color but needed the extra...loving :)

Here is a super close up of those amazing flowers and leaves that you can create with the "delicate asters" and the "delicate asters diecut" I added "gala glitz in silver" to really give them an extra bling...NO pearls this week....lol
The title was made with Microsoft Word for Mac on an "classic oval" and it is layered on the
"fancy tag 3" in yellow cardstock

I added some journaling strips and some bling from my stash.
Love "bitty blossoms" because they are not too big but also because they always match your papers
Behind the large "delicate aster" is "lotus pendants" diecut. I liked it because it has pointed edges and really blends in with the new flowers.

Another close up of the flower spray.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out more creation at the Heartfelt Creations Blog this week and to see who the winner is of this amazing collection!

Purdy Birdie *Donna Salazar*

Good Morning!
It's me Lisa again with a new layout making your own background paper
using Donna's fabulous new stamps.
I love the bricks and that adorable camera.
This is a Foto of my little Roxy and she sure is a "Purdy Birdie" :)

So here is how to make your own background paper:
First, take a piece of white cardstock and a piece of Donna's Botanique Paper.

Next, tear off part of the top and part of the bottom.
Distress using Zutter.

In the center use Jasmine Distress Inx and smear, let dry.

Stamp with black Mix'd Media Ink the bricks, then emboss with black embossing powder.

Lastly, spray with smooch in blue "Sea Breeze"
That's it...now embellish.

Stamp the "foto set" in demin "Mix'd Media Inx" and
emboss with denim embossing powder to make that adorable camera.
The yellow flowers are made with "Carnation Creations" and
the white flowers are made with "Rose creations"
I added a little gala glitz in the centers.

The title is made using another stamp from "foto" and yellow cardstock.

Stamp in black on yellow cardstock for the cool distressed birdie's.

Hope you are inspired to make your own background paper too!
Have a great day!

My Friend *Mojo Monday #259*

Hi, Welcome back to my blog...sorry it has been almost a whole week since I last posted.
Today I am sharing with you a card that I made for this week's Mojo Monday
Here is the beautiful sketch this week:

Last night I was thinking about what I wanted to do with this awesome new sketch and around 9pm it came to me...lol So I ran down to my scraproom and made this card in less than in hour. Love when it comes easy! This is a friendship poem by Mary E Carpio. I just loved it and I wanted to be part of the front of the card, sort of like those amazing Hallmark cards that have the poems on the front.

I have been on this yellow and green kick lately with these amazing new stamps and diecuts from Heartfelt Creations called "delicate asters" They are so beautiful and very delicate indeed.

Here you can see how the flowers pop right off the card. I also added some yummy bling.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out 2 new post tomorrow here at my blog!

I really love the new collection and I have been staring at it for a few days trying to think about what I wanted to design....then it finally all fell in place and I ended up using the ENTIRE collection!
So many little details and Im a little sad once again to send it...but I know it will be enjoyed more in person at the Heartfelt Creations booths. This is an older photo of my little Roxy once again. The background had a slight tint of purple hues so I thought it would be a great photo to use with all these amazing new purple papers from the collection.

Ok, when I seen the flowers in the packaging I wasn't sure how much I would love them...but once you get them out and use them...OMGoodness...totally LOVE EM! I recently played around with the distressing inks and watercolor paper and I did it here again for the flowers....Ive decided until I take some sort of copic class...watercoloring is for me because it blends so well together and it is a bit easier for me to get the same type of look. I used 2 different flower sets "delicate asters" (larger ones) and "bold delicate asters" the (darker purple smaller ones)

Love this paper and it is so sturdy! The flower in the corner is from the stamp "delicate twining asters" I fussy cut it out and colored with distressing inks and green copic...no blending...lol
The title is also part of the collection called "script aster background" and I distressed it with purple ink and layered it over "fancy tag" I also added a little journaling strips using Microsoft for Mac.

Love the awesome leaves which is part of the "delicate asters" but dont forget to get your matching diecut "delicate asters" it sure makes all those flowers and leaves come out perfect! I dont mind fussy cutting sometimes....but I might go a little crazy with all the flower details...lol
The beautiful butterfly is called "delicate asters and butterflies" there are 2 beautiful butterflies in that set with another gorgeous stamp. The tiny little flowers are diecuts and you get 3 of them! yeah!
I also used some of the old collections "bird haven" for the birdhouse and "brookside manor" for my little doves....i use them all the time.

Here you can see with a little pop dots it brings it up just slightly but not too much.

Be sure to stop over at Heartfelt Creations Blog and leave a comment for your chance to win this incredible collection and to see all the beautiful projects made by our DT!

Baby Shower "Bun in the Oven" 3D Cupcake Holder

Happy Sunday!
I know it is late in the day....but I had to share with you this adorable little 3D oven that is perfect for cupcakes! I was looking online this morning when I seen this amazing oven and I was thinking it would be perfect for a baby shower! This is NOT my original idea although it is a tiny bit different from the original post. In the original there is a clear opening so you can actually see the cupcake. I do like it but as I was making this tutorial for the box I already glued it together...oops...lol...next time :)
So I changed it up a bit. Here is my version of the oven....you can see the original here
Thank you sooooo much for sharing Amanda Coleman!

Here is a side view of this oven that is a 3 x 3 x 3 inch box.....
So after many hours and several pieces of paper I finally figured out how to make this box....I looked EVERYWHERE for a tutorial to make a box like this and was almost pulling my hair out for I wanted to soooo bad make this adorable oven for future baby showers.
I never did find a tutorial so I made my own up. :)

So here is tutorial to make a 3 x 3 x 3 inch box out of paper:
First, you need a piece of white cardstock...i suggest using a heavier piece like bazzill, but for my tutorial I used a thinner piece since I used soooo many! lol
Score at 3, 6 and 9 inches both ways so you have little 3 x 3 x3 boxes.

Next cut as shown and fold.

Make 7 total of edges from the leftover pieces that you cut out. They should all be 1 inch x 3 inches.
The score at .5 inches long. You can use a corner punch if you like that look too.

Glue edges as shown here.

I suggest a good fasting acting glue like "art glitter" but you can also use tape if you like.

Once you have the bottom of the box done then add 2 more edges to the top.

I also added a small piece of paper still leftover from the 12 x 12 piece. It is .5 inches wide and 1 inch long. Fold it in half for this will be the oven opening. I meant to diecut or cut an opening for the window opening of the oven but I forgot before I glued it together. oops! So I made a different window using spellbinders "fleur de lis rectangles" the 2 smallest ones. The second smallest in white and smallest inside. Then cut another second smallest in pink and and added my font. Last layer them together.

This is for the top of the oven. Score another piece of the leftover cardstock at 1 inch, 2 inch and 2.5 inches. Then fold.

Add big silver brads at .5 inch, 1 inch, 2 inch and 2.5 inch.
I printed a clock on cardstock from online at .81 inches on white cardstock which ended up being approximately .75 inches total. If you have a clock brad that will be better...i didn't so I made one out of paper, add it to the center 1.5 inches.

For the burners, I made 1 inch circles out of grey cardstock and added clear 1 inch buttons on top.
then on the corner bottom right button I added a colored button in pink, but you use whatever your theme color you want it to be.

Glue the back and the buttons to the oven and add a small strip of .25 inch x 2.5 inch of grey cardstock for the handle with pop dots. Add ribbon across the top of the oven (there is an opening so it will be easier) and also add a ribbon bow around the handle as shown.

Here is the opening of the oven...wish I made some cupcakes to show you how they fit...but I might eat them all! lol....

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial and give it a try soon!

A Mother Understands....Mojo Monday #257

It has been a while since I last made a card for Mojo Monday #257...well I finally was able to make one with this fantastic new sketch this week made by Julee Tilman. Her is the awesome sketch and lots of lovely layers that I really LOVE!

Here is my interpretation of the card. It is a 5 x 6 inch card that I am totally addicted to making and I wanted to make a cute kind of card that was from a mother (me) for my daughter who has been sad lately. :( As most of us mother's know...we understand how our children feel even if they don't tell us.
The papers are from Graphic 45 and I added cream, peach and kraft cardstock with lots of spellbinders diecuts.

I just love the bunny mother and the children together...it reminds me of Peter Rabbit...wait I think it is Peter Rabbit! lol.
I also had to add tiny pearls around the "lacey circles"

The flowers are made with "bitty blossoms" and I added some prima flowers in teal.

The title for the font was made with Microsoft Word for Mac it is called
"Jellyka Delicious Cake"

Thanks for stopping by...
I really hope this card puts a little smile on her face.

Heartfelt Wednesday's *The Little RED Dress*

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by again this week for another Heartfelt Wednesday
After a couple of weeks of cards, I finally made a new layout using the fantastic new line of papers and stamps called "Ornamental Light" collection. This is an old picture of my little Roxy wearing a little RED dress last Christmas. I just love her big RED bow too. :)

Here you can see a closer view of the lightposts that are from "decorative metal fixtures" and they match with "decorative metal fixture diecut" and "holiday tags". I colored them in copic grey ink in some spots and added Donna Salazar's glitter glue and fairy dust glitter in the center with a touch of pearls on top.

I stamped the ferns in black and just fussy cut them out...a little tedious but it really looks great.

More ferns and ornaments made by diecutting out some ornaments from "holiday tags" and then stamping in black ink the swirls from "holiday haven". I then colored the swirls in red with a copic marker and added pearls. There is pop dots underneath and a silver ribbon hanging the ornaments from the fern.

The title was printed with Microsoft Word for Mac using 2 different fonts and diecut with "fancy tag 2" by spellbinders. I added liquid pearls to give it a complete matching look. The grey diecut is "parisian accents" and the icicles are from Martha Stewart punches. It was a hard item to find last year because it came out a long time ago....it is back now in stores again so I recently bought it for my upcoming winter themes... :) Be sure to shop at Joann's for it before they are gone again...

Be sure to check out more designs from the DT at Heartfelt Creations and don't forget to come back next week for the NEW reveal from HC....it sure is a beauty!!!
Have a great day!
